Embellished Yellow Dupatta
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Premium Fabric Glue, Yellow Dupatta, Pencil, Paper, White Cotton Silk Fabric, Buckram, Poth, Dlass Mirrors, Cutdana, Half-Cut Pearl, Zero Size Stone, Ball Chain, Pompoms, Needle, Thread, Barbeque Stick
Description :
Here is an amazing DIY of an embellished dupatta which has been made completely using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
STEP 1 : Source the base
- Take white cotton silk fabric measuring 6.5” x 5.5”
- Take buckram measuring 2.5”x 6”
- Cut them using fabric scissors
STEP 2
- Stick the buckram fabric on the cotton silk fabric and cold the fabric as seen in the image
- The piece should measure about 2.5”x 6”
- Fold the edges of the fabric for better finish.
- Stick the bottom part of the fabric and not the sides
- Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
STEP 3
- Draw your desired design on a paper as shown
STEP 4 : Transfer of design
- Transfer the design on to the folded fabric as seen in the image
- Use yellow carbon paper to transfer the design
STEP 5
- Take yellow and white poth and stick them on the design as shown
- Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick them
STEP 6
- Take pink stones, cutdana, ball chain, mirrors and stick them on the design as shown
- Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick them
STEP 7
- Finish sticking all the materials on the piece as shown in the image.
- Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick them
STEP 8
- Take yellow dupatta as shown and stick mirror with pink stones around them as shown
- Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick them
STEP 9
- Take dark pink and light pink pompoms as seen
- Stitch them to the edges using needle and thread
STEP 10
- Pass the dupatta through the ornate folded fabric piece as shown in the image
- Place it in the center of the dupatta as seen
The embellished yellow dupatta is ready to be paired with your basant panchami attire!
