The challenges of displacement demand interdisciplinary thinking, the development of new tools and technologies, and global collaboration. In this context, the DRAN-MISTI* Global Displacement Fellowship is an opportunity for research, engagement, advocacy and skill-building for students interested in critically examining displacement and land rights on a global scale. In partnership with international organizations, civil society groups, and grassroots movements in Brazil, India, and South Africa, fellows will contribute to strengthening our global network on displacement and land rights, advancing the frontiers of knowledge on displacement and its consequences, and influencing law and policy.
* The MIT Displacement Research and Action Network (DRAN) is a global network on displacement and land rights that brings together activists, academics and policy makers to build new theory and evidence of the increase and intensity of mass internal displacement around the world due to development, conflict or climate disaster.
