plenty of twists and Yes! the HEA!
~~~~~~~~~~
Coming off of a bit of a cliffhanger that was totally expected, this book started with a bang. Bella is now vulnerable and Tyler is going to lose his mind.
I love that Jones always throws in some surprises that bind the couple together even more. Trust, understanding, and faith in each other is the only way this story is going to end on a positive note.
With stress and pressure from all sides, the couple gets closer than ever. The passion and complete connection between them oozes from the pages. Steam and sex appeal is all consuming and the ending is fabulous. Jones ramps up the suspense and you cannot turn the pages fast enough.
Dirty Little Vow might be the ending for this trilogy but it opens doors for more spin-offs! Jones kills it with her fast-paced suspense and burning romance. I can never get enough of her stories!
It’s hard to separate the 3 in the trilogy, since they all flow into one another, but this was a great ending!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️
We’re left on a few cliffhangers after Sweet Sinner, and this bring them all, and the whole trilogy to a close.
I loved the dynamic between Bella & Tyler, and the side characters as well - especially Dash.
Definitely don’t read this as a standalone!
Lisa Renee Jones does a great job at summarizing at the beginning, which was helpful to refresh my memory.
What you’ll find in Dirty Little Vow:
⭐️ Off limits/forbidden
⭐️ Romantic suspense
⭐️ Brother's best friend
⭐️ Grumpy/sunshine
⭐️ Boss/employee
⭐️ Billionaire mmc
⭐️ Dual POV/first person
*note: I apologize if this is a spoiler but nothing bad happens to the dog! I was seriously worried the whole time about little Molly 😅
Thank you to author Lisa Renee Jones for an advanced copy to review. All opinions are my own.
Quickie review: 3.5-3.75 stars. This was not a bad ending to the trilogy. I was happy with where Tyler and Bella ended up. This book still had a lot of filler and flashback scenes from the previous book that I had to skip. Tyler was still not my favorite hero. He was a little too formal/stiff and not relaxed enough for me. But I still liked he and Bella together and was happy they got their HEA. I did think their relationship was a little low on chemistry (but not on spice). So not my fave LRJ series, but not bad.
This was a bit of a roller coaster in the final installment of Bella and Tyler's story. We have kidnapping, blackmail, and disloyalty. What I loved is that Tyler and Bella stuck by each others side to fight for their love. Their story ended on a great note!
Bella is determined to be there for Tyler, come what may. She's his rock and proves it to him over and over, and let me tell you, there are many times a lesser woman would have bailed on him. But though she's fallen hard for him, does he feel the same? They still haven't quite gotten on the same page on exactly who they are to each other.
Tyler and Bella's journey comes to an epic conclusion in Dirty Little Vow. They have had to overcome a lot of obstacles throughout this trilogy, with so many twists and turns at every turn, and still more to come before they find their HEA. Bella is the real standout here for me - she's tough, strong, and independent, and keeps Tyler on his toes the whole way through, even as she stands strong beside him. Tyler, Tyler, Tyler...he's the one who grows the most, and finally lets himself show some vulnerability to Bella - she's really the only person he allows himself some softness for and in front of. I think it's this trait that made me finally fall so hard for him. He's alpha af, he's dominant, he's stoic, but around Bella, he's all these things and more. I'm going to miss these two, but I have high hopes they'll have cameos in future stories, perhaps in a certain someone's story, who was introduced in this conclusion *hint hint!!*
DIRTY LITTLE VOW is the sixth instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult THE NECKLACE romantic suspense series, and the third book in Tyler and Bella’s trilogy. DIRTY LITTLE VOW is the continuing story of attorneys thirty-four year old Tyler Hawk, and twenty-seven year old Bella Bailey. DIRTY LITTLE VOW should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two SWEET SINNER. Bella is Dash Black’s (The Necklace trilogy) half-sister.
NOTE: If you have not read BASTARD BOSS or SWEET SINNER there may be spoilers in. my review.
SOME BACKGROUND: Bella Bailey works as a contract attorney at Hawk Legal but months earlier, Tyler’s father, embittered and embroiled founder Jack Hawk murdered his girlfriend, and lost his own life in the fall-out. Fast forward three months, Tyler Hawk has yet to come to terms with the possible ramifications of what happened and why, when the reading of the will sends Tyler’s life into another unstoppable spiral. Conditions must be met, and if not, Tyler would lose everything he has accomplished including the woman he refuses to love.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Tyler and Bella) DIRTY LITTLE VOW picks up after the events and cliff hanger of SWEET SINNER in which Bella is about to be used as a pawn in an effort to push Tyler Hawk into revealing the whereabouts of some important documentation. As Tyler, and Bella’s brother Dash begin a frantic search for our story line heroine, Bella must face down a man who is determined to scare her into revealing the truth. The sins of the father have come full circle, and Tyler Hawk is caught between saving the woman he loves, and searching for something he knows nothing about.
The relationship between Bella and Tyler continues to build for our couple spend most of the current story line separate, and without a means of contacting one another. For the sake of the company, and the future going forward, Tyler must prove his relationship with Bella is real, a relationship in which Tyler is hoping for a happily ever after. The limited $ex scenes are passionate.
Once again, all of the same secondary and supporting characters return including Bella’s brother Dash and his fiance Allison Wright, attorney Gavin McCloud, and fixer / ex CIA agent Dierk Jordan, as well as businessman Knox Allen, and a man of impeccable dress but questionable reputation Oliver.
DIRTY LITTLE VOW is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, hatred and perseverance, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is limited but desperate; the characters are determined and charismatic.
This is my first trilogy by this author. Honestly, I do not read trilogies very often because of the time commitment they take between ARCs and I can’t stand cliff hangers. I tend to wait till they are complete before I touch them for this reason.
Book three is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends in a HEA.
I adored the character of Bella. Tyler had to grow on me a little at the beginning of the series, but he won my heart over quickly with his vulnerability underneath the surface. The author does an excellent job with dialogue and creating tension both between the characters and within the story. Lots of heat, twists, and turns kept me on my toes. I kept waiting for one final twist that would ruin everything, and I was so relieved when they got their happy ending.
Tyler and Bella come together in this book stronger and committed to each other. I loved their united front and that Tyler and Dash moved in a coordinated effort to make things right. I loved how strong Bella was and how she challenged Tyler. I love how she makes him a better man when he feels safe enough with her to be open and honest about his feelings. I adore how consumed Tyler is with Bella and how he is a man who will use all his control to make sure she is safe.
Though there is some timeline inconsistency throughout the series, I really enjoyed this trilogy, and I am excited to read more of this author’s work.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.
Dirty Little Vow by Lisa Renee Jones is an absolute triumph! This final installment in the trilogy not only delivers the ending we've been yearning for but also takes us on an exhilarating and unexpected adventure.
From the very beginning, the pace of the story is relentless, leaving readers on the edge of their seats. The author expertly weaves together elements of kidnapping, blackmail, and disloyalty that add layers of suspense and intrigue to the narrative. Each twist and turn had me eagerly turning the pages, unable to put the book down.
But beyond the thrilling plot, what truly shines in Dirty Little Vow is the unwavering bond between the two main characters. Their commitment to standing by each other through thick and thin is heartwarming and inspiring. And let's not forget the scorching, passionate, and almost obsessive love they share. It adds an intense and intoxicating element to the story, making it impossible not to be completely swept away.
In summary, Dirty Little Vow is a five-star read that delivers on all fronts. It's a rollercoaster of emotions packed with suspense, passion, and unforgettable characters. Lisa Renee Jones has crafted a masterpiece that will leave fans of the trilogy immensely satisfied. I highly recommend diving into this book and experiencing the breathtaking conclusion.
I received an advance listener copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Dirty Little Vow is the conclusion of Bella and Tyler’s story. The drama continues with Tyler’s fathers will and by the end of this novel I think we can all agree that Tyler’s dad seriously hated him. The strain truly does take a great toll in their relationship with Tyler’s desire to push her away in order to prevent harm, while Bella is pushing through willing to walk through fire for Tyler if she needed to.
The tension in all ways is thick and helps to create this masterfully charged storyline that just keeps giving. From the charged scenes between Tyler and Bella, to the scenes where Bella is in harms way, the payoff when they can finally tie the knot.
The games Tyler’s father loved to play did not get lost in translation after his passing and clearly he was a master drama stirrer. For what it’s worth, I would have been stewing on that will for eternity and I feel like I would’ve never, ever figured it out. But, I’m not sure if Tyler would have either if it wasn’t for that last little conversation he had, that absolutely had me tearing up a little just due to the sort of damaged relationship him and his father had.
The conclusion and end tied up every loose end so well without rushing a single thing or info dumping. Tyler and Bella’s relationship was so beautifully written, so raw and authentic. Their ability to drop everything for each other warmed my heart and pulled at all the strings!
Passion filled conclusion
I have been fully invested in this trilogy since reading Bastard Boss. The mystery, suspense, passion, and the push and pull of the two main characters were unforgettable. DIRTY LITTLE VOW is the conclusion to Tyler Hawk and Bella Bailey's epic love story, and it was unputdownable. Taking up from the cliffhanger of Sweet Sinner, DIRTY LITTLE VOW is a story of vulnerabilities, discoveries, romance, and love.
Tyler and Bella are both strong characters, their commitment to one another only deepens in this installment. Tyler is at his most vulnerable, yet this is when he is able to gather and draw upon his true strength and power. His love for Bella has made him a better man, and it is with this love he is able to face his biggest challenge. Bella is quite simply one incredible woman, she's tough and knows how to use her streetwise smarts.
There are numerous twists and turns, plenty of heat and passion, incredible tension, and an abundance of love throughout this installment. I sat on the edge of my seat throughout this entire book. LRJ has ensured it is action-packed and fast paced from beginning to end. The emotions displayed are raw, realistic, and all-consuming. I can honestly say that Tyler and Bella have become my favourite LRJ couple.
This is a trilogy not to be missed.
I was not prepared for this finale! From that huge cliffhanger on book two, the story continues like one scene kept on a high note with non-stop action and nerve-wracking tension.
The narrative is strong and tight. Bella and Tyler are one fated couple in the middle of an epic doom. The anguish, the longing, the heat, they are tangible. I loved it so much!
I thought the plot was fast, driven by mad need and danger, that the characters teemed with chemistry and obsessive love, and that they realised their bond is too strong to fall victim to fear and threat. It's a struggle, though. When they reach their epiphany, they go against their new enemy with smart boldness.
At this point, I thought that the victory had a certain openness that spoke of a potential story in the making. With this author, anything is possible. And the ending is absolutely gorgeous.
What I am going to say now could be construed as a spoiler, perhaps, so be careful...
It was good to meet Dash again in his most Bond-like shape, and I was excited by something he mentioned that could be the cause for a future novel for him!! What about that black gentleman that is half villain half perfect main character for a novel? I'm all hot and bothered for both the man and his story :-D Please, write more about him.
Ok this book series was just not for me. I don’t know if this author is for me.
It was too ridiculous. I’m supposed to believe Tyler has the power to keep a “practically mafia family” in check. Yeah right…
Then there was the inconsistencies from earlier books, small things but it annoyed me nevertheless. Like the fact that supposedly Tyler and Bella had never touched until she accidentally grazed his hand that night she shows up to comfort him. But in a flashback memory Tyler recalls her hugging him out of excitement. Uh, that’s a big touch. Or Bella thinks about how Tyler doesn’t wear Rolex because that’s what his dad wore, except in this book, he’s wearing a Rolex. And they’re supposedly such good friends for the last years when they don’t seem to know each other much at all, or at least Tyler doesn’t know Bella. It just didn’t jive.
Even the ending was boring. I mean I guess it was nice. The quip by Tyler and the priest was kinda funny. But it was just really bleh. Pretty dress, nice flowers, some jewelry, and there you have it.
The story was just boring through most of it, ridiculous at other times, and annoying a lot. I’m sorry this series was just not my thing. But a lot of people seemed to like it so don’t not read it just because of my review. It just wasn’t my thing.
Dirty Little Vow is the concluding chapter to Tyler & Bella's journey, and it was awesome! Of course this means you'll have to read Bastard Boss (Book 1), and Sweet Sinner (Book 2) first because I can honestly say there's no one better at creating layers upon layers in her stories than Lisa Renee Jones. Tyler & Bella worked together but they were drawn to each other like crazy, but somehow they were able to keep it contained until they couldn't anymore. They're finally on their way to something great when things take a turn, and now he's willing to burn the world down to get her back from those who would have the audacity to take her from him. Once again, I had a ton of suspicions about the suspense portion of the program but I was wrong, however it was great fun as the twists were coming in hot to keep my heart racing while I was turning pages at the speed of light. There's also so much heat in the pages as these two burn hot together so have your fan ready. This author is one of my very favorite authors of all time as I've not come across a bad story from her, and I'm 100% certain it will never happen. And since it's better to just read the book for yourselves, I'll call it a day with this review and end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!
What a finale!
Dirty Little Vow is the finale to the story of Tyler and Bella and wow -- what a way to end their story. Though I do hope we see them again - as well as Dash and Allie.
While Tyler Hawk's father might be dead, he still had a lot to say to his son. The man was very jealous, petty and rather twisted - but Tyler has Bella by his side so how could he possibly lose? Are some or all of the partners in the firm part of the father's game? Who to trust becomes a big deal in DIRTY LITTLE VOW?
Tyler was a bit blindsided when he realized how much he loves her. His fear he was going to get her hurt caused him to keep pushing away. Bella wasn't about to let that happen. That was how strong her love and her faith in him was - even being kidnapped she believes in him. Though, if you know Bella, she didn't just wait to be rescued. She did well an excellent job of getting herself out of that particular jam. You have to read DIRTY LITTLE VOW to find out all the details.
With all of Ms. Jones' roller coaster rides, this one has so much in it you will be so caught up you want to know the ending - but you don't want it to end. It is steamy, heart pounding with just the right mixture of intense, tension filled and light-hearted dialogue. Job well done Ms. Jones!
This book... worth the wait and did not disappoint. Tyler and Bella have taken us for a ride and they finally realized what they had together. What they did not know was what was waiting for them to find and the mystery was frustrating but when they found out what and who were behind what they were dealing with, it was shock. They stayed true to themselves as a couple and as individuals, keeping this story believable and seeing how they have grown over the years from friends to lovers to partners. The added bonus was seeing how Bella's relationship with her brother Dash grew and welcomed partners for each of them and how they grew as a true family, sharing their love to include their chosen partners to feel something they wee missing in their own lives, something they did not necessarily know they were missing until they had a taste of it. Brilliant.
What is more to come from this story? There is some foreshadowing of a possible new twist with Dash and Ghost. Love the way these books are written and how they intertwine.
I would recommend this entire series and can't wait to see what is next from Lisa Renee Jones.
Dirty Little Vow is the intense, steamy, conclusion to Bella and Tyler’s story. I loved this series and have to say that this was my favorite book in the trilogy. It's the perfect combination of raw emotions mixed with the undeniable chemistry between Bella and Tyler.
Bella resonates with me. She’s an overthinker. Her mind goes from one thought to another. She’s beautiful inside and out and will do anything for those she loves.
Tyler continues his journey into unknown territory, raw emotions. Throughout the trilogy, he battles to understand his feelings. The complexity of his journey started early but with Bella by his side he knows that his life is where it needs to be.
I absolutely loved this story. Bella and Tyler are both fiercely independent but yet need each other. Throughout the trilogy, you know their connection was meant to be. It just took them a while to figure it out. This is the final book of their story but you can read about them in Dash (Bella’s brother) and Allie’s story in the Necklace Trilogy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this the final story in the Tyler &Bella Trilogy. I was anxious for Lisa Renee Jones, the author to get to where they were an awesome and formidable couple like Dash and Allie. I wanted it to be Tyler and Bella against the world, especially because of that father of Tyler. I think Jack Hawke wanted to rule and maybe even ruin Tyler's life even from the grave. We have Bella being kidnapped for almost half a day, but it seemed like days. I enjoyed the intrigue of it all. Lisa does romantic intrigue very well. This story was so good I wish that there was another book with Bella and Tyler and Dash and Allie depicting Dash and Allie's marriage and what led up to it. I am both of their fans. I thought this definitely was a good series and I definitely loved the ending of the Bella and Tyler trilogy. How about another book or a long epilogue for Bella and Tyler and their time in Italy or even Allie and Dash and their wedding event. Gotta love a Lisa Renee story. I would highly recommend this series or any of her books.
Dirty Little Vow is everything a romance legal thriller should be. Super hot chemistry and spice with a story that keeps you turning pages. Tyler and Bella are in love, there is no doubt for either of them. What is in doubt is their future. With his father’s will hanging over their heads and the threat of secrets that can destroy the Hawk Legal empire, Tyler and Bella are in a battle of wits with a dead man, his father, to ensure their lives and livelihood. The story starts with Bella in the hands of the enemy. The timing is suspiciously in tune with an impromptu meeting Tyler has been pulled into. Now the race is on to get her back alive.
This is Lisa Renee Jones deliciousness at its finest. Each time I get one of her books in my hand, it’s better than the last. The fact is they are all incredible and this one is the icing on a perfectly written trilogy.
The final installment of the Tyler and Bella trilogy! It’s finally here and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve followed this couple since the Necklace Trilogy (if you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for?) and I’ve been so invested in what is going to happen. Tyler’s dad was a jerk of epic proportions and Tyler is trying so hard to escape his father’s legacy. Enter best-friend’s baby sister, workplace romance, some romantic suspense, and a bit of tortured hero and you’ll have the perfect recipe for this story. Lisa Renee Jones ties up all the loose ends from books 1 and 2, adds some new twists to the story, and finally gives us what we’ve been hoping for with these two characters. Picking up right where book 2 left off, you will be sucked into the action from page 1 and you won’t want to put it down.
Phew, what a ride. Dirty Little Vow, the last book in the Tyler & Bella trilogy, is everything that I anticipated, wanted and so much more. Amazing comes to mind. Lisa Renee Jones has penned an edgy, suspenseful and tension ladened tale filled with some interesting twists. There's lots of finger pointing and head games being played. Tyler and Bella are caught up in a cat and mouse with strings being pulled from beyond the grave. Figuring out just how far his father would go to see Tyler fail is mind boggling. Dash is there for backup but the burden of solving the riddle is squarely on Tyler's shoulders. Honestly, I just don't know LRJ does it time after time but she creates some of the best work that I've ever read. Dirty Little Vow ranks right up there.
So I know this book is book 3, but I read this one first and now plan to go back and read books I & 2. I think the author did a great job with both the recap & giving enough information that going into book 3 I didn't feel as though I was missing any information. I actually felt like I could have read it as a stand alone.
That being said I was absolutly absorbed into this book from page one. The plot is so fast and immersive, before I realized it I was already 70% of the way through the book. Bella & Tyler are such a great couple, you can read the love between them but also their worry about each other in this crazy time. I really hated Tyler’s father, but all the games and mystery really drew the story along. I can’t wait to read more by this author including book one and two.
This book picked up where the last one ended. Bella and Tyler are the perfect couple, she is light and her is dark.
When there is a threat to Bella, Tyler will lose his mind until they are back together. Their connection is stronger than ever. Their love is meant to be.
This story is filled with suspense and intrigue, and the chemistry flows like water. This author has a way of pulling the reader into the stories and making us want more.
I hope there will be a story on Nox one day. Grab this series and enjoy the ride that is Bella and Tyler, but start from the beginning with Ally and Dash. You will not be disappointed.
Even though it may have been the death of his father and the domino of events that happened afterwards that isn’t all that is keeping them together. When Tyler realizes that Bella is in danger, he finally acknowledges how he feels about her and how he will do whatever is necessary to ensure her safety.
Bella is strong, resilient and doesn’t back down from a challenge. She isn’t about to just accept the predicament she finds herself in and keep her fingers crossed that help would come instead she will do whatever is necessary to forge her own path and that only makes you like her more.
Tyler and Bella take us on quite the ride that is filled with intrigue, surprises and love as they prove that they are each other’s equals in every way.
Finally, we get to see the finale of Tyler Hawk and Bella Bailey's trilogy.
I've been waiting for a while for this after that cliffhanger in the second book and it was all worth it. Though the story was fast-paced and had a lot of flashback scenes (which we've seen in the previous books), it was still fitting to end the saga. Not only I enjoyed the suspense and mystery about THAT damn file but also the anticipation to get to their wedding. I'm so delighted they ultimately made it to do their long-awaited vows.
This also marks the end of the Necklace Trilogy and I hope to see a book for Knox Allen. I loved Tyler and Bella as well as Dash and Allie and will surely miss them.
I'm a bit underwhelmed by how this one ended. There were cliff hangers in the previous 2 books, especially the one before this one. This one picked up right where things left off, Bella kidnapped, Tyler facing the board and learning of Bella's fate. It was great reading through this, loved how Bella managed to get herself free and get help from Tyler to feel safe. Where things really dropped off for me was the resolution of the whole Allen family thing and finally finding the files. Both of those things feel like they were rushed, sort of like the upcoming wedding in Dallas. All that reading and things kinda dropped, it came down to 2 men that kept saying they weren't like their father, yet each had the file and could do damage to the other.
A phenomenal ending to this trilogy! Get ready because this will keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put this down and neither will you be able to. This doesn’t let up until the end. The threat is much worse than they ever imagined. She saved him in every possible way, now Tyler will have to save her. There is no other outcome that is acceptable. Action packed full of emotions, intrigue, fear, combustible heat, dominance and possession. They need each other too much to walk away from the threat, so they must fight and hold tighter to get them to the other side of what has been forced on them. You will be spellbound!
LRJ nailed it again! This is the conclusion to Tyler and Bella’s story. What a crazy roller coaster ride this story was. The first two books of this series has you guessing what is going to happen with Tyler’s dad’s will. This third book brings everything together in a suspenseful, twisty way. I read this in a day and a half (other responsibilities). The words flew off the page and kept me on the edge wondering how everything will turn out. Bella and Tyler are a fierce couple and I loved reading about them. Let’s not forget how hot they are together, too. These romantic suspense novels that LRJ writes will keep you thoroughly entertained. So sit back and enjoy the ride!
This was a rollercoaster of a conclusion to the Tyler and Bella trillogy. We were definitely taken on a ride! This book picks up right where we were left at the cliffy! Bella is in danger, and Tyler has to find her before it's too late. I enjoyed this book even if I struggled with it a bit. I loved the characters they were engaging and addictive to read about. My main problem is that I feel like this trillogy could have been fine as a duet. This is why I dropped it to a four instead of a five. But the story itself was really good. High energy, suspense, heat, and an adorable fur baby, too! This was my first series by Lisa Renee Jones, and I don't think it will be my last!
