Celebrating Artists with Disabilities
"Disability is an art.
An ingenious way to live."
- Neil Marcus, actor and playwright
Disability and art often go hand-in-hand. Visual art, performances, written work, and installations have played a vital role in the Disability Justice Movement for decades. Creating art about their lived experiences is one way that many artists come to articulate and express their disability identities and how it intertwines with their lives.
This website, curated by the Office of Disability Services, intends to showcase the ingenious work of 12 incredible artists with disabilities.
