19 Words to Utilize America's Wild Horses and Burros for Wildfire Control

AN AMMENDMENT TO SAVE AMERICA’S WILD HORSES AND BURROS. 

Congress has to fund the  government.  That includes the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management.  To do that in the last 56 days of 2024 they will pass legislation to allocate funds.

What it TAKES TO STOP ROUNDUPS is a congressperson willing to put an amendment on the appropriations legislation.  Regardless whether the bill brought forward is S. 4802 or H.R. 4821 or ANY OTHER funding act (Continuing Resolution) for the Department of the Interior for 2025, it must carry the language:

 

"By this Act Congress declares that wild horses and burros removed from public lands be used to control wildfire.  Specifically This Act deletes the words 'Nothing in' from Sec. §1339. Limitation of authority. ..." This chapter shall be construed to authorize the Secretary to relocate wild free-roaming horses or burros to areas of the public lands where they do not presently exist."
