Sermon Topic: Peter and John: Compassionate Generosity
Scripture: Acts 3
Generosity - the quality of being kind and generous

Compassion - sympathy, pity and concern for the suffering and misfortune of others.
To enter into someone else’s suffering.

Compassionate Generosity - helping someone beyond their expectations!
SUMMARY: Peter and John were fresh off the amazing outpouring of God’s Spirit recorded in Acts 2, first on the disciples and then on the 3000 who were saved. They were heading to the Temple to pray at 3:00 in the afternoon. They were surely excited and focused. At the intersection of the world and worship Peter and John encountered an interruption. Thankfully they responded with compassionate generosity in the power of the Holy Spirit challenging all believers with their example. What they did is a lesson for us in readiness, adaptation and deliverables. How do we interact with those who interrupt us? How do we give effective witness to Jesus, the Author of Life, especially in the interruptions?
Often when you are headed to intercession you will encounter interruptions at intersections.

Be ready for what the Lord wants to do through you!!!
