The Thaumaturge C Unprocessed Not sure what title this was meant to reference. Steam shows no title of "World of The Thaumaturge". There is a release of a game "The Thaumaturge" scheduled for Dec of this year. RPG set in one of my least favorite eras but with some occult looking magic. I'll have a look again around launch and see if it looks any more interesting. Current release date is end of Feb, will check in March. 03/01/2024
Hellcard A Finished Played for an hour and really enjoyed it. Nice UI and combat system - really different than most card games and designed to be played either solo or with friends. I liked the triple deck, the near/far system and the fight layouts thus far. Major concerns would be replayability, difficulty, and depth of mechanics, but no real way to tell until we play more. Would like to revisit on release. 06/01/2024

Between the Stars D Unprocessed Haven't enjoyed a space or flight sim in a long time, but it's hypothetically in the right genre for games I enjoy. Demo is an easy way to check it out! Demo tutorial was awful. Game felt barebones and piloting/visuals were pretty meh for me. However it was EA and the tutorial started me off on a bad foot, so let's re-eval closer to release. 07/01/2024
Sandwalkers B Unprocessed Legend of Keepers dev with an interesting first hour. Roguelike exploration with some minimal character upgrading and combat. Would like to see the more finished product and play more then! Better than expected and a nice surprise. As of Jan '24, release date is "Q1" but no date. Will check back at the end of Q1. 04/01/2024
ZEPHON C Finished Love the setting. 4x are very hit or miss for me. As of 12/22 there's no gameplay, EA, or demo. Will check back later. Demo supposedly dropping in August. Age of Darkness: Final Stand C Unprocessed Looked similar to They are Billions. However, mixed reviews and two years of EA thus far. Willing to revisit but suspect I should wait until either a demo or closer to release. 06/01/2024
Starsector A Finished Fantastic experience, just requires some setup and iteration to really get into the best parts. It's the best fleet-builder I've ever played and the setting and combat are great. However, it didn't really get amazing for me until I started adding mods to make the experience more challenging while keeping that open world magic. And that's a rabbit hole for sure (!ssmods in twitch chat/discord) for latest list. I intend to keep revisiting this every so often as it continues to develop. 06/01/2024
Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance C Finished Not holding much hope for a movie-inspired RTS having much in the way of enjoyable gameplay, but it's got a demo. Let's check it out for a bit and see. Lords of Ravage C Finished Enjoyed the demo, had some bugs and clearly was an indy game with indy graphics and lack of voice acting etc, but the mechanics were pretty unique and pretty fun. I have some doubts as to the longevity and depth of the combat, but we won't really be able to test that without playing more of the title. As of 2/22 full release has been changed to "2023". (10/23): Release date changed to Q2 2024, will check back in 6 months. 04/01/2024
Stoneshard Unprocessed Interested in this title, but want it to get further through EA before I check it out. As of 2/23 their dev blogs mentions large delays on their end related to Ukraine/Russia war. (10/23): Game progress seems to be slow or non-existent. Would still like to play this some day, will check back 6/24, feel free to @ me on stream if a major update hits before then. 06/01/2024
Ravenswatch Finished From the makers of Curse of the Dead Gods (which I liked). (3/23): EA, no demo yet, no playable product yet. Interested in seeing the next iteration of this developer's game, but there's nothing to play yet. Will check back in ~6 months. (10/23): More EA drama and complaints. Kerbal Space Program 2 C Rejected for Content Match Currently (3/23) in EA, mixed review on steam with complaints of bugs, performance issues, and general "not ready to play" vibes. I also didn't play the first one and have mixed feelings about simulators of this nature. However, I know lots of my viewers enjoyed the first of this series and I'm curious as to what the game is like. I'll reevaluate in ~6 months, when it's closer to launch. Veterum B Unprocessed Visually, doesn't look amazing, but a "open world turn-based tactical with detailed combat" sounds interesting. Played ~2 hours of the demo. Enjoyed it, had lots o management style stuff I like, but unsure how interesting the combat will be as we play more. Would like to check it out again closer to release. 06/01/2024
Frostpunk 2 B Finished Enjoyed FP1, although neither the DLC nor the game on very high difficulties were very fun for me. I'd like to see what their next iteration of this game looks like. No release date means this is quite a ways out. 2024 Q1 update: Still no release date, will check back Q2. 04/01/2024
The Last Flame A Finished Really neat take on a roguelite deckbuilder. Replaces cards with items and hero synergies while adding a positioning mechanic to the game. Very nice UI design and polish. Lots of design decisions, but no turn based card math. After many runs I started to see some balance related issues but overall, I enjoyed this a lot and would like to see the finished product on release! 06/01/2024

Hellcard A Finished Played for an hour and really enjoyed it. Nice UI and combat system - really different than most card games and designed to be played either solo or with friends. I liked the triple deck, the near/far system and the fight layouts thus far. Major concerns would be replayability, difficulty, and depth of mechanics, but no real way to tell until we play more. Starsector A Finished Fantastic experience, just requires some setup and iteration to really get into the best parts. It's the best fleet-builder I've ever played and the setting and combat are great. However, it didn't really get amazing for me until I started adding mods to make the experience more challenging while keeping that open world magic. Same with their filters. Some systems (war, radicals, religion, culture) are just awful, and need serious reworks. Slipways S Finished Really fun title. A "Space Logistic Puzzler" with chill vibes and nice mechanics. Easy to learn but with surprisingly deep mechanics. I particularly liked the weekly challenge map with global scoring. The UI (with a few exceptions) was also top notch. It'd be a nightmare to play IRL but things like display filters, limited undos, run specific racial bonuses, and restarting whenever you like made it an awesome computer experience. Solasta: Crown of the Magister A Finished Very nice PC version of the DnD 5e combat system, although limited (by purchase rights) to the base DnD classes and some of their own homebrew. The base campaign and dlc campaign were fairly "meh" in my opinion, although each successive DLC release of classes and subclasses has been excellent. Sometimes a very close match in terms of genre will drive viewership to my channel, and sometimes popular AAA releases leave me buried in the category below all the larger streams. This game launched with some controversy and the IP isn't one I've engaged with, and the genre has only partial overlap to what I normally enjoy, so I chose to give this a miss. Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game C Rejected for Content Match It describes as many of the things I enjoy: sci-fi setting, complicated character build system, turn based CRPG, and steam reviews are positive. Age of Wonders 4 B Finished First few hours were really promising. The systems and customization are super fun and the game looks visually great. However, bad AI and imbalances don't really allow much play past the first few playthroughs. There's a promising dev road map and planned changes, but the game isn't in good shape at launch.
