The screaming fans in the crowd are proof the world loves Brett Pitzer, but I hate him. Those women lusting after him as he bangs on his drums have this fantasy of one night with him. He granted that dream to my sister, except he left her with a baby to raise on her own.

She couldn’t tell him about their boy, but with her life on the line the same night he’s back in town, I have no choice.

It’ll be an uphill battle trying to get in touch with this partying rock star who’s nothing like me, but after tragedy strikes, he’s the only biological parent my nephew has left.

I’ll do whatever it takes to protect the baby and give him the future he deserves, even if it means traveling on a tour bus with a man I can’t stand so I can be a nanny to his son. After all, I’m all my nephew knows, and he’s the only chance I have left.

No Chance is the second installment in the Capital Kingsmen series by my favorite rock star romance author, Lisa Suzanne. Told in dual perspectives, get ready for Brett Pitzer and Hannah Hartman's story. It's sweet, sexy, emotional, tender and real.

Here's the rundown: Brett and Tommy are the last two single members of the Capital Kingsmen band. The other guys have settled down, but that's not something they have any interest in. All they care about is playing music, partying and fulfilling women's fantasies of a one night stand with them. So imagine Brett's surprise when a mousy looking girl from a meet-and-greet drops a bomb on him that he's a father.

Hannah's whole world was turned upside down in the matter of a single night. A tragic accident took the life of her sister and now her nephew is all that she has left. But she can barely support herself much less the precious nine month old boy. As much as she can't stand him, she has no choice but to track down the boy's dad. She will do whatever it takes to make sure that her nephew has the best possible life.

I absolutely loved Brett and Hannah! These two characters are so real, raw and well written. I thoroughly enjoyed watching their journey to happily ever after. The imagery, language and emotions jump off the pages in this sweet and sexy rocker romance. If you're looking for a phenomenally written, captivating read that you won't be able to put down, I simply cannot recommend this book highly enough. Five stars for Brett, Hannah and No Chance!

Back on the road in the Capital Kingsman world again, just the place I wanted to be next!  Lisa Suzanne always leaves me with the sense that I've been thoroughly and emotionally worked over, inside and out, as she weaves her steamy little web around me.  Her rockstar romances are flawlessly written with just the right amount of heat, angst and drama to keep you glued to your Kindle, waiting for every juicy detail to unfold.

Drummer Brett Pitzer and lead singer,  Tommy Stevenson are the last men standing in the CK band brotherhood. The only guys left to give those lucky ladies a cheap thrill, partying hard while doing it. Imagine Brett's utter shock when a girl stalks him backstage and tells him he has a baby son he never knew anything about!  Whaaat??  Party time over? Hardly....Change his one and done ways..uh..no! Settling down was never going to be part of his life story.  Him as someone's dad?  He isn't that guy.  But what if this baby really is his?

Hannah has had her life ripped apart and turned upside down in an instant, now she's got no one but herself. She has a preconceived idea of Brett's lifestyle and already disliked him intensely, but now that her sister is gone, it's up to her to love and protect her sweet little nephew...even if its from his
own father.

I loved being on tour with the Kingsmen again and seeing how Hannah fit right in with the CK ladies and crew warmed my heart.  She was so lonely and broken, needing someone in her corner to lend a hand.  My mind was blown as I watched Brett slowly come to terms with his situation, despite Tommy's interfering idiosy.  He was hot and cold but Hannah saw something in him that he couldn't see himself.  Hannah wasn't star struck, but reluctantly fell for Brett's rarely seen unguarded side...who wouldn't?  Brett ended up becoming a heart stealing
hunk of swoony yumminess, but what other kind of guy would Lisa Suzanne dangle in front of her readers??  How did Lisa make me love this guy when he was such a **** sometimes. Watching him struggle and finally accept the life he was being given had me dabbing some tears along the way.

No Chance was another of LS's intense, steamy, put you through the wringer, rollercoaster romances.  How I adore a wild, sexy drummer...it was so much fun seeing the mighty playboy rockstar fall- emotionally challenged and so darn HOT!!  Hannah's began this journey as a young frightened girl with nothing but an uphill climb to look forward to in her future but became so much more by the end of this book. Just wait and see!! The happy ending that seemed impossible for Hannah, her sweet little man and the drummer was right there....but would they take that leap of faith? Speaking of chances and changes, what will Tommy, truly the last of the unattached band members, do for fun now that his wingman has left him to his own devices?  I shudder to imagine!  Tommy's story is one I sure don't want to miss!! He is something else!!

Absolutely Loved It!!!

Wow!! What an amazing story that had everything I love in rock romance. The Capital Kingsmen are selling out stadiums and living the rock star lifestyle and are now just hitting their 30’s and some of their lives are changing. Two are married with a family but Tommy and Brett are the lone bad boy rock stars who are living every bit the sex, drugs and rock n roll lifestyle. Well, that was true until a “mousy” little woman approached him after a concert and whispered in his ear that he was a father and the mother wasn’t going to make it.

Brett never wanted what his other bandmates now had with the one woman and kid thing and he wasn’t sure yet that he could deal with that kind of life. It was supposed to be just him and Tommy living out the dream. Hannah had her own dream taken from her once her sister passed and she was left with Chance to now raise on her own. She was drowning with no support. Hannah had such a hard life already that it just kept raining down on her. Would Brett step up and would Hannah lose Chance the only family she had left whom she loved dearly?

This author always knows how to give it to you so that you feel every emotion she writes about. The steam was off the charts and the heartache was felt so deep. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read Tommy’s story.

I know better than to start a book by this author in the evening; it makes for a late night. No Chance is no exception.

We are back on the road with the band Capitol Kingsman and Brett’s story. Brett loves the lifestyle perks that go along with the stature of his band. All the fun and none of the commitment.

Hannah has had her world turned upside down; going to the Capitol Kingsman meet and greet was not for fun. She is so broken and defeated, but her strength for Chance has me in her corner.
Hannah brings news to Brett that stops him in his tracks. Will he grow up? Does he want to make the changes in his lifestyle that her words bring?

Much Like Tyler in No Commitment, Brett was not a favorite rockstar. I will also say that if anyone can change my perception of a character change, it will be this author!

I received an advanced copy from the Author; this is my voluntary review.

There isn't often that I have to be reminded to put down the book and turn off the light. But, since I started reading in late afternoon, it was very hard to put down the book and "Turn Off the Light". No Chance was one of those books. I liked the way that the author could pull the reader into the story and make you want to turn to the last page to find out what happened in the end (no, I didn't peek).

Another Lisa Suzanne rockstar romance? Yes, please! Give me more of the Capital Kingsmen boys!

Brett is the swinging single drummer, famous for his love 'em and leave 'em one night stands. One of those nights catches up with him when he discovers that not only does he have a baby, but the kid's mother is dying. Hannah's sister was in a horrible accident, leaving her at the end of her rope and not knowing what to do other than reach out to Brett. Who she hates, simply because he slept with her sister and knocked her up. Brie's death turns Brett's life upside down as much as it does Hannah's. Brett never wanted kids (he didn't have the best relationship with his parents), but he stands up and does the right thing where Hannah and little Chance are concerned.

Knowing that it's time for him to step up, Brett invites Hannah and Chance on tour with the band, so she can be Chance's nanny and he can get to know his son. Along the way, while trapped together on a tour bus and in hotel rooms, Brett and Hannah start falling for one another. But will Brett sabotage what they have before they even get started?

I loved the connection between Brett and Hannah -- their relationship is a nice slow burn that starts off with a reluctant friendship of sorts. I also really loved the growth that Brett showed from start to finish. He went from only being able to call Chance "the kid" to really being a father to the little boy. And the life-changing moment where Brett realized that he had everything he never knew he wanted and threw it all away? I'm not embarrassed to say that I cried. A beautiful grand gesture led to some groveling and a wonderful reunion for this couple. And the epilogue was just perfect!

Well, done! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

No Chance by Lisa Suzanne is a slow-burn, contemporary, surprise-baby, forced-proximity rockstar romance told in first person dual POV. Although it’s book two in the Capital Kingsmen series, it can be read as a standalone. Book one, No Commitment, does not need to be read first, but doing so enhances the story when previous characters appear.

No Chance follows the relationship between rockstar drummer Brett Pitzer and Hannah Hartman - bartender, college student, and aunt of the orphaned baby son he never knew about. After her sister is in a tragic accident, Hannah contacts Brett about his baby - despite her low opinion of him - because it’s what her sister wanted. When the reluctant rocker invites her to join the tour as her nephew’s nanny, she can’t pass up the opportunity. What will happen as they travel together in close quarters? Read the book to find out.

I loved Hannah and Brett’s story. They were both well-developed, likeable characters, and each had their hang-ups to deal with. Brett never wanted kids or a relationship - he didn’t believe he was capable. Hannah didn’t believe that she was worthy, because everybody she loves eventually leaves. I felt for Hannah as she struggled with her situation while grieving her sister’s death. And I grew to like Brett more and more as he genuinely tried to do the right thing. Their path wasn’t easy, but in the end they found love and happiness together. A sweet, emotional story. I'm looking forward to reading Tommy's story in No Comment. I don't like him very much, but everybody's redeemable. I can't wait to see how Lisa Suzanne changes my mind about the jerk, because she undoubtedly will.

I am so torn between hating Brett (and Tommy) and loving them. They are such a-holes, and sometimes it gets so old. I'm glad Brett finally listened to his heart and went after what he wanted. Hannah and Chance are his perfect life.

No Chance was unexpected. I didn’t expect this story to be so emotional and raw but I loved it. I was hooked the moment I start reading it and I couldn’t put it down.

Hannah’s life has been completely turned upside down. My heart broke for her and everything she was going through. Brett is living his dream life, but thanks to Hannah that life has been completely turned upside down. Tragedy brought them together and they bonded and formed a connection with each other.

Brett and Hannah’s relationship was full of ups and downs. There is a forbidden aspect to it. Hannah had some dislike towards Brett in the beginning and I wasn’t a fan of that because he didn’t know he was a father. There are parts of the story where I wanted to knock some sense into Brett.

No Chance is a beautiful, raw and emotional story. There is the perfect mixture of angst, steam and lightness.

If you’re looking for an angsty, Rockstar, surprise baby romance this is one to check out.

Ms. Suzanne is the queen of writing books about bands. I had a hard time liking Brett at times through the book. I know his parents, mostly his father, has messed him up and he doesn’t feel like he is good enough for anyone. Plus, of the four band members he and Tommy are the only ones left that don’t have a woman or a child. Their lives are all about booze, drugs, and women. That is until Hannah has to go to a greet and meet to tell Brett he is a father and the mother which is her sister is about to die. Brett’s reaction is sure not what you would want a father’s to be. But I was glad that he hired Hannah who is his son Chance’s aunt to be the nanny on the three month tour the band is going on. I don’t know how Hannah handled being on a tour bus with Brett, Chance and a disgruntled Tommy for so long. The emotions I felt watching Brett and Hannah’s relationship going up and down were crazy! I was happy to see Hannah form some relationship’s with the other two women on the tour. Hannah had a hard childhood and needed to feel loved by others. Her love for Chance was heartwarming. I couldn’t put the book down once I started it. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Wow! Not The Typical Romance – This Is Real & Very Messy. Brett & Hannah’s Story Is An Emotional & Angsty Read That Will Require A Little Patience. Prepare For A Few Tears. Brett Is Flawed – The Quintessential Burnout Rocker – And He Makes Some Big Mistakes. Their HEA Is A Challenge That Seems Almost Impossible To Achieve. Don’t Forget To Download The Free Bonus Epilogue Via The Link At The Back Of The Book.

This series is a spin-off of The Replacement War, the sixth and final book in the My Favorite Band series. That is Gage and Lexi’s story. Tyler Caldwell, bass player for Capital Kingsmen, is introduced in that book. He takes part in a month-long reality TV show in which ten contestants are locked in a house without access to the outside world. It is a contest to find the new bass player for MFB. Book one of this series begins just before Tyler’s participation in The Replacement War, then picks up again two years later.

ABOUT THE CAPITAL KINGSMEN SERIES:

Capital Kingsmen is an LA-based rock band that is currently on a sold out tour. They like black licorice bites, chicken fingers, crispy fries, cheap scotch, and lemons on hand before they go on stage to play their hearts out for their fans. The guys are all handsome, so there are always plenty of eager female fans on hand.

The band members include:
• Tommy Stevenson: vocals
• Brett Pitzer: drums
• Dustin Kingston: lead guitar
• Tyler Caldwell: bass

Tommy has always been the driving force behind the band. He is forever planning and pushing them all. Sometimes he pushes too hard. He isn’t necessarily nice. It was his idea for Tyler to participate in The Replacement War, and he insisted even though Tyler was not happy with the idea for a few reasons. Tommy insists that even though Tyler will get a lot of hate for his deception on the show, there is no such thing as bad publicity. Tommy enjoys the company of women, and he enjoys the choices that fame now affords him. Though he might not have had trouble finding company for the night before they achieved so much success, now women throw themselves at him and his bandmates. He and Tyler had been best buds in these efforts for years, but all that changed when Tyler ran into Dani in Milwaukee, just two months before his appearance on the reality show. Brett and Tommy got even tighter then, and the two best friends head out to the bars and clubs together, almost inseparable. Dustin is in a long-term relationship with Amanda.

The guys have been together since their teens, though they went by the name Dust to Dust at the time. Seventeen year old Tyler and nineteen year old Tommy were both part of the local scene in LA, and eventually became friends after bumping into one another at shows. Tommy invited Tyler to join him and his friend in a band. Tommy knew eighteen year old Brett from music school and asked him to audition on drums. At that time they went by Kingsmen. When the guitarist left for college, Tommy asked Dustin to step in. Their name soon evolved into Capital Kingsmen, as they are known today. The four bandmates quickly formed a strong bond and have become more like brothers over time. They fight and they party and they make music together. They have come a long way since then.

FROM ASK ME LATER:

This is the prequel to the first book in the series. It is the beginning of Tyler Caldwell and Danielle Watson’s story.

Tyler Caldwell, twenty-seven, plays bass for the Capital Kingsmen. At seventeen, he was a skinny band nerd who bussed tables at Carne’s, a Mexican restaurant chain in LA. He went away to college but always regretted not getting the chance to kiss Dani, his good friend and the hostess at Carne’s. Nevertheless life went on for Tyler and he began transforming into the rock god he is today when he began working out in his early twenties. He owns a home in Los Angeles, but spends about two thirds of his time working away from home.

Danielle Watson, twenty-six, has worked as the assistant venue manager at a 20,000 seat Milwaukee arena for two years now. She had followed her ex-fiancé Nate from LA to the Midwest. After three and a half years together, they didn’t quite make it to the alter. Danielle might have returned home to LA after the breakup if not for the job she loves. It keeps her busy, which is good because she hasn’t been with anyone since she split with Nate just over a year ago.

When Danielle fills in for her boss as the venue manager one night, it means that she will be interacting directly with the bands and their managers, ensuring all their needs are met. She recalls that the Capital Kingsmen are headlining the sold out show, but isn’t overly familiar with the group. When one of the band members seems to recognize her, it takes a minute to realize that the hunky bass player is her old friend from Carne’s.

At sixteen, Dani had worked as a hostess at the restaurant. Her close friend Tyler repeatedly tried to ask her out, and although she felt a little something for him, she wasn’t convinced he was serious so she always joked and blew him off. She lost touch with him after he went away to college, and she went away to college herself one year later. It has been ten years since she last saw Tyler, yet she feels even more attracted to the man he has become. Tyler says he regrets never getting to kiss her, then asks her to be his date at the after party. He loves to shock her, and claims to never get tired of watching her reactions.

Danielle may still be attracted to Tyler, but finally moving on after Nate is a big step. As she toys with her answer, she discovers that Tyler is more confident and assertive than he had been in his youth. She likes it, and she likes him. But even if she says yes – knowing full well what will happen between them tonight if she does – she knows he will be back on the road in the morning. The idea of pursing anything further with him isn’t realistic.

Tyler and Dani’s story is a sweet second chance romance. They have great chemistry. They have both grown a lot in the last decade, but their attraction to one another has only increased over time. Gone are their innocent and youthful days. They are both very adult about their night together; Danielle has realistic expectations. There is just the tiniest hint of angst to keep the story interesting. The story is well-written. The plot is simple. The characters are nicely developed given the length. The story is told in first person in Dani’s POV. I rate this short story 4.5 stars.

FROM NO COMMITEMENT:

As the story opens, it is roughly two months since the night Tyler and Dani reunited in Milwaukee. They hadn’t wanted to say goodbye, but given the long distance scenario they faced, they agreed to make no commitment. They are each free to see other people, to keep things low pressure. They hope to spend some time together after Tyler’s tour ends, at which point they will consider taking the next step in their relationship. Despite their agreement to not commit, neither has seen anyone else. Tyler and Dani text and Facetime daily, getting to know one another on a deeper level. Still, neither is ready to admit the depth of their feelings for the other, and they have only managed to spend one weekend together since that first night.

But Danielle has a secret, and she is clueless as to how Tyler will react when she finally tells him. She wants to do it in person, and it is killing her to keep waiting for the next chance to see him. So when they are just days away from their reunion and Tyler tells her he is going to be on a reality TV show and won’t be able to see her after all, she is in a world of pain. She is pregnant with his child, but to tell him now, after waiting so many weeks, will look petty and manipulative. She begs him to take a stand for himself and points out how badly he will be portrayed once his deception is known, but he insists he has no control over his schedule. He says he must go along with everything his band and his label want.

When Tyler dismisses Dani so easily, she finally realizes what a relationship with him would look like – and what kind of father he would be. When he leaves the reality show and hops on a plane to Europe to embark on a two year tour, she is devastated and entirely alone. Her family is all back in LA, and she has a baby to raise all on her own. Ford Pruitt is new to the marketing department at work. He befriends her, and she tells him everything. He might not be Tyler, but he wants to offer her the kind of life that her baby deserves.

Two years later, Capital Kingsmen return to LA and Tyler is a changed man. He is broody and grouchy, and he has come to resent his career for taking away the one thing he ever really wanted: Dani. He had tried to reach her, and he has tried to move on, but still she occupies his thoughts. He heads to Milwaukee to find her, but doesn’t receive the happy reception he had expected. The couple has seemingly insurmountable obstacles, but they eventually find a happy ending. Don’t forget to download the free bonus epilogue via the link at the back of the book.

IN THIS BOOK:

This book opens about three years after Tyler and Dani ran into one another in Milwaukee. It is the day after book one closes with Tyler’s proposal to Dani, which had been the day before CK heads out on tour again. Luna, their daughter, is about two and a half. Dani now works for the band as Karl’s assistant. Dustin and Amanda have a five month old baby girl, Maya, and Amanda will help out during the tour by watching Luna while Dani works. Tommy and Brett are the only remaining bachelors in the band, and they aren’t thrilled with watching their good friends settle down. They don’t understand why Dustin and Tyler would give up endless parties and one night stands for a life with just one woman. While this time around Tyler and Dustin will each have a private bus with their families, Tommy and Brett plan to make their tour bus a non-stop party. The three month tour has thirty-seven dates. The first stop is a private gig in Phoenix for the tenth anniversary party of BR Tech Industries.

Hannah Hartman, twenty-two, doesn’t trust easily. She and her sister Brianna lost their parents when they were just four and ten, respectively, and they ended up separated in the court system. Growing up in foster care wasn’t exactly a good experience, but when Brianna was of age she had adopted Hannah, finally bringing the sisters back together. They didn’t have much, but they had each other. Brianna had been almost like a mother to Hannah. Brianna was organized and working her way up with her job as a research assistant at BR Tech Industries, while Hannah was taking classes during the day and bartending by night. Photography had been Hannah’s passion, but she was studying social work in order to help children that were in the same position she had been in as a child.

Things had become harder once Chance came along. Brianna had won a chance to see her favorite band, Capital Kingsmen, and when her favorite drummer showed interest, she wasn’t about to let the opportunity pass. It was a chance meeting and the chance of a lifetime, so when it turned out she was pregnant and delivered a beautiful baby boy, she named him Chance Michael Pitzer. Brianna hadn’t yet been able to connect with the baby’s father and share the news, but she thought it was fate when his band was scheduled to play the private gig at her company’s ten year anniversary party in Phoenix. But fate had another idea in mind when Brianna was in an accident just three days beforehand, leaving Hannah with a nine month old baby she cannot afford to care for.

Hannah hated the Capital Kingsmen for everything they represented – their loose ways with women and the babies they left behind. If it hadn’t been Brianna’s wish that Chance be raised by his natural parents, Hannah might have avoided approaching Brett with the news. But she loved her sister too much to disrespect her wishes and lacked the resources to provide Chance the life he deserved. She reluctantly went to that anniversary party in her sister’s place, and she left the ball in Brett’s court.

Brett Pitzer, thirty, cannot imagine giving up the bachelor lifestyle. Commitment and families are not for him. He had a strict upbringing that left him with a lot of self-doubt, though he does a pretty good job of masking it. He hardly speaks to his family, so his bandmates fill that void for him. He doesn’t understand what happened to soften Dustin and Tyler, but he is thankful that he still has Tommy. The pair are almost inseparable. Tommy enjoys his beer and gummy bears, but weed is Brett’s choice of escape. That might be the reason that he doesn’t feel things the way most people do, or maybe he was always like that. Either way, he prefers to feel numb. So when a mousy looking brunette approaches him at the meet and greet on the first night of the tour and tells him that his son’s mother is dying in a nearby hospital, he hardly knows what to feel about it. Mostly he just wants it all to go away.

If it were up to Tommy, Brett would throw some money at the problem and move on, but Tyler and Dustin are more concerned about Chance than Brett’s ability to live the high life. Brett struggles to do what is right, but he knows all too well that he is his own worst enemy. He believes that he will eventually ruin everything and push people away, so Hannah and Chance are probably better off without him. Brett waivers between stepping up and walking away, but never fully embraces either option.

On top of that, he feels attracted to Hannah. Like Brianna, she seems different than all the other girls. More real, more honest. And Hannah isn’t afraid to tell him what she really thinks. But as his son’s aunt and caretaker, he cannot simply treat her like a one night stand. Getting intimate with Hannah necessarily means something more, which is something Brett just isn’t good at. The couple has a difficult road travel, and like with Tyler’s story, Tommy isn’t exactly helpful. Brett has a lot of growing up to do before he can contemplate bigger things like fatherhood and commitment. He is lost. Hannah is lost as well, unsure what her future holds with the sudden loss of her sister. She must find her footing in the aftermath, creating a path forward amidst all the uncertainty. Eventually, however, the couple earns a happy ending. Don’t forget to download the free bonus epilogue via the link at the back of the book.

The next book in the Capital Kingsmen series, No Comment, is Tommy’s story.

Wow! This book isn’t the typical romance. It is real and very messy. The story is not easy to read at times. It is tragic and deep, so expect a few tears. There are some horrible decisions that are almost unbearable to read about. Brett is the quintessential burnout rocker. He lives for playing his drums and partying. He mostly goes along for the ride; he isn’t in the habit making important decisions. His life is a mess, empty of meaning, and he is best at avoiding responsibility. This story revolves around Brett and his firm commitment to the bachelor lifestyle. His background remains a little fuzzy (though the free bonus epilogue sheds a little light on it), but it is clear that he is damaged in some way. He doesn’t trust himself – and he doesn’t trust anyone, other than his bandmates, to have the wherewithal to stick with him through the bad times. That is why a life of one night stands makes sense to him. He can handle a good time; it is responsibility and commitment he is afraid of. He is his own worst enemy.

Brett has been evading responsibility and his own feelings for years, and the real question for him is whether or not he actually wants to grow up and put the party days behind before they get the best of him. Becoming a father should be his wakeup call, but he is so out of touch with his own feelings that the moment slips by. He must finally take a stand for himself rather than following Tommy. He must choose to make a change, rather than seeing himself forced into a situation he never wanted in the first place. He really doesn’t deserve Hannah. His only saving grace is that the power of love might finally reform him, opening him up to a colorful world filled with possibilities.

Hannah struggles with guilt as life moves on after Brianna’s death. Brianna would have loved the life that Hannah suddenly finds herself living, so enjoying it seems wrong. She also feels week and dependent despite the strength that Brianna firmly believed she had. Hannah doesn’t want to accept charity, but then again Chance deserves more than she can provide; he deserves the life that his father can provide for him. The idea that Brett might take Chance away at the end of the tour is devastating, though. It leaves her lost and feeling out of control. She has learned the hard way that nothing lasts forever, so she is on pins and needles in the face of so much change in her life. But Brett is slow to come around to fatherhood. He is inconsistent in his attention to Chance. Hannah may find herself raising Chance alone when all is said and done. In spite of her ingrained hatred of the man, Hannah falls in and out of love with Brett, who does a great job at sabotaging their happiness. She does her best to honor her sister throughout, even when it is difficult. She does exhibit strength, to the extent possible given her dependence upon Brett. And it takes a considerable amount of strength to allow Brett into her life.

On the surface, Tyler’s and Brett’s stories have a number of similarities. Both men are surprised to learn that they are fathers. Both Dani and Brianna had kept their pregnancies a secret from the rocker fathers. Finally, Tommy does his best to sway both of his friends towards the party lifestyle. But the similarities stop there. Tyler and Brett are two very different people.

Brett and Hannah’s story is an emotional and angsty read that will require a little patience. Prepare for a few tears. Brett is a flawed character that makes some big mistakes, so their HEA is a challenge that seems almost impossible to achieve. The story is well-written. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are real and three-dimensional. They are carefully crafted. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Brett and Hannah. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

No Chance is the second book in Lisa Suzanne‘s Capital Kingsman series.
For me it‘s the first one in the series.
The Blurb enticed me alot to read it and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed it alot!

Brett and Hannah‘s story was super angsty and emotional! Both of them have a heavy past but their future together looks bright.
Brett is struggeling alot with finding out that he‘s a father. The attraction to his son‘s aunt isn‘t helping either.
Hannah just lost her sister. Her only living relative. So she has to take care of her nephew. When the opportunity comes to take care of her nephew and go on tour with her susters favorite band she takes it. Their lifes are changed forever.

I really enjoyed this story. Lisa Suzanne made me fall in love with these characters super fast! Even though I did have to shake my head a bunch of times at Brett.

Lisa Suzanne never fails on writing an unputdownable book. Once I started No Chance, I simply could not put it down.

I ignored all my responsibilities for the day so I could finish this amazing book. This story was super cute, fun and quirky.

I adored our heroine right from the very beginning. What a wonderful, amazing woman who had just gonna through such a terrible event and had her life completely uphanded but still would do anything for her latest remaining family member. She was an incredible aunt/ nannie/ mother to her nephew. My heart melted at the sweet moments between them and whenever Sebastian would show love for his son.

I became very frustrated with our hero and his bff at times because these guys were so blind and stupid at times, jeez. But in the end, they both opened their eyes and realized what was most important. And that ending, as always, has me dying for the next book! It’s gonna be interesting and probably very angsty, I want it nowwww.

Meh. It was a quick beach read… or in my case an airplane read. It actually lacked angst, in my opinion.

It starts out sad. Hannah loses her sister and honors her wishes by finding her nephew’s father and explains the result of the one night stand he had with her now dead sister. Hannah’s lifetime of losses tugs on Brett’s heartstrings and he has her and the baby join him on his three month tour.

Hannah jumps from hating him to very quickly falling for Brett - her dead sister’s baby daddy/crush. Too quickly. He stays away from her despite his attraction and yet it’s love and they end up happily ever after as a family of three.

There was lots of holes and gaps that I feel should have been plugged with angst to build chemistry between the characters.

It was entertaining and I did not feel lost having not read the first book. It’s a stand-alone.

Hannah could possibly be super woman when her sister was killed and she went to classes and walked two miles to her bartender job with a baby. Brett, I barely liked. I'm sorry but he's a mess. I appreciated the time it took to accept a child as his but he didn't refer to Chance as anything but "the kid" most of book even as he got close to Hannah. I hardly felt the connection as poor Brett od's in a nightclub because of broken heart. Meanwhile, no calls of any concern to Hannah as she has full custody and same shitty apartment and a broken heart. Yes to Hannah but No to Brett. Oh, his parents were mean...boo hoo Hannah lost all her relatives and had foster care.. ...I love Hannah. Strong girl.

So I'm not crazy about this book. I thought Hannah was too good for Brett, to be honest. It's a good storyline but the characters just don't give me that meant to be vibe. She forgives him way to easy and just puts up with him running all over her. It just wasn't for me.

I'm glad I took some time after finishing No Chance before sitting down to write my review, as I really LOVED the story, but I just was conflicted about how I truly felt about both Brett and Hannah. They both drove me crazy at times, but considering the position they both unexpectedly found themselves in, they really handled it the best they could. Brett, finding out he was a father and Hannah being thrown into motherhood - nobody could handle it perfectly. Their biggest issue to me was communication and being truly honest about how each of them felt - whether it was about Chance, their feelings - anything really. Obviously, Tommy played a factor into some of that - but they still could have just been open with one another. Definitely glad how it all played out, as I do feel they had great chemistry and loved how they came together as a family.

Really loving this series and I'm excited to see what comes next with Tommy's story. He's so adamant about living the rockstar life - can't wait to see what woman brings him to his knees!

I have unfortunately come into the Capital Kingmen series at this second book, but that really has not detracted me from the immense enjoyment of this read. As the start of the book the dynamic of the band Capital Kingmen is dramatically changing as the second member of the band has just announced his impeding wedding. This has divided the band into two sides, those who are settled down and those who still want to be the playboy rockstars that they have always been drummer Brett and frontman Tommy.

Brett never would have dreamed that his life would be forever changed at a fan meet and greet, but it was when a girl who looks out of place but vaguely familiar comes up to meet him and delivers the news that he never wanted to hear ever. He has a 9 month old little boy conceived in a one night stand with this girl's sister a year and a half ago. As the child's mother is dying in hospital after an accident her young sister has sought him out in the hopes that he will step up and help her.

This story has disaster written all over it, what is a rockstar playboy going to do with a young child? Big surprise, once this news has sunk in with Brett he finds himself stepping up and offering Hannah help. He will of course demand a DNA test but if the boy is really is Hannah and Chance will they will spend the next three months with him on tour so that he can be with Chance and figure out the future for all of them. Dependent on her sister to pay the rent and keep their bills paid Hannah has no choice but to accept his offer for now and hope that things will work out in the future.

This is a heartbreaker of a story and I had to shed a tear for this poor girl who has struggled for most of her life and now may lose the only connection to the sister she loves. The good thing for her about being on tour was that she had a support group with the other ladies behind the band members who were able to help her adjust to her new reality. I kinda felt sorry for Brett too what an enormous shock for him after living an immature, selfish and reckless life he has to now be responsible for another human being. Though putting on a brave face in front of Hannah Brett is terrified of screwing up, he never experienced a happy life growing up and though he wants Chance to have one he has no idea how to create that for him.

So this was the expected rollercoaster of a romance, amazing hot and sexy highs as Brett and Hannah fall for each other and form a semblance of a family. Then come the heartbreaking lows as Brett who was happy with his new reality has a conversation with Tommy the diehard single guy, and realizes that he will never be good enough for Hannah or his son. Hannah's character grows from a scared little girl to a mature woman who can face the future with or without Brett. Brett unfortunately has a lot of catching up to do and could make the biggest mistake of his life he doesn't find the courage to step up.

I got so engrossed in this story that I found it difficult to put it down to sleep, having enjoyed Lisa's writing so much I have got to go back and check out the previous two books in this series. I am sure I will be in for a treat.

Lisa Suzanne did it again. Once you start reading you just won't be able to put it down. Growing up Hannah had a hard time. She was in foster care after her parents died in a car accident and was separated from her older sister. Once her sister aged out she adopted Hannah and they were finally back together. What she never expected was for her sister to be taken from her the same way her parents were. Her sister left behind a little boy named Chance and a letter of her wishes. Brett had already planned out what he was going to be doing on tour, but when he gets news that he could possibly be a father he's thrown for a loop. He gets Hannah's number and a DNA test is done to see if her story is true. Once the results come back positive Brett decides to do the right thing and take Hannah and Chance on tour. Hannah can't believe that Brett is willing to step up and be the parent that Chance needs. Brett begins to notice that Hannah is different from any other woman he's met before and tries to shove those feelings away. As they begin to spend more time together Brett's feelings become to much to hold back and tells Hannah how he really feels. Hannah is amazed that what she feels for Brett isn't one sided. They begin to form a relationship and everything seems perfect until Brett's insecurities show up. He brings up his walls again and does everything he can to push Chance and Hannah away. When the tour is over Hannah can't believe that Brett really did give up on her and Chance. She returns home and sees that Brett deposited money in her account for Chance but knows it won't help heal her heart. Is Brett going to wake up and realize that he gave up the best thing to happen to him? I received a free copy of this book from the author and reviewed it voluntarily.

Liza Suzanne definitely puts the reader on an emotional rollercoaster with this novel. All the ups and downs will keep you on your toes as they navigate their way through what is sure to be one heck of a tour.

What would happen when a Rock star with no intentions of ever giving up the lifestyle suddenly gets thrust into fatherhood? Meet Brett....one of the last single musicians from Capital Kingsman. He is the epitome of sex, drugs and rock & roll. They all know the score when they roll into and out of bed with him. But one night in his past is coming back to change his future. After a private performance he is approached by a mousy girl who whispers that he is a father and the baby’s mother isn’t expected to make it through the night. He’s heard this all before, it comes with the territory, but there is something different about this girl.......

Hannah has never had it easy. From being separated from her sister in foster care, to finally being reunited with her sister only to have her torn away from her and leave behind a vulnerable infant son. Her last wish was for her son’s father to have guardianship and Hannah is the one who has to track him down and fulfill this wish. Oh did I mention that she hates this guy and all he represents?

It’s not easy but a deal is struck....3 months on the road......what could go wrong? A huge tour bus, 2 rock stars, Hannah and a baby.....Hannah and Brett are not only fighting their own issues, but their growing attraction for one another, doing what’s right for the baby and appeasing the rest of the band. Can Hannah and Brett find a way to make this work? Or will it all be too much for them to finish the tour....

I struggle on how to rate this book because while I enjoyed it, I hated the main character Brett for much of the book. He's not unlikable but he's his own worst enemy and because I loved Hannah I knew I was going to hate how much he hurt her and I did. And yet, that is why I am rating this book 4 stars because I had no idea how invested I truly was until I was crying my eyes out. I rate books based on how much emotion they can pull out of me and I was surprised how teary I got reading this. Lisa Suzanne knows how to redeem her characters though and I went from disliking Brett to absolutely loving him by the end of this book.

This book is the 2nd book in the Capital Kingsmen series and while it's a standalone and can be read by itself, I did read No Commitment first and was happy to have met the band and have a little knowledge of what is going on. Capital Kingsmen are a rock band that have hit it big by this time and are on a 3 month tour when at a meet and greet, Brett finds out he has a child from one of the visiting fans. Of course he is skeptical but after finding out the baby is his, he invites them aboard his tour bus to do the right thing. This puts a wrench in his WAC plans -weed, alcohol and I can't put the word if I want amazon to approve this review. Hannah on the other hand has always hated Brett and if she had another choice would not be going on his tour bus for 3 months but she is doing it to honor her sister's last wishes. Hannah is a little broken and Brett thinks he is damaged goods but when the two of them come together there is no denying the chemistry between them.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lisa Suzanne is one of those authors where when she releases a new book, I purchase and start reading it on release day. She is that good.
I loved Tyler’s story (No Commitment) and was thrilled to see Ms. Suzanne write a book about another member of the band.
Brett Pitzer, drummer for the Capital Kingsman, lives the typical rock and roll lifestyle – fame, lots of money and an endless string of available women. He is a bang ‘em and go kind of guy. He is living the good life and doesn’t need anything permanent. Is he surprised when a girl grabs his arm and tells him he’s a father? He’s heard “I’m pregnant” and “You’re a father” before but there’s something about this girl that makes him pause.
Hannah – how much can one person take? Her sister is in the hospital, possibly dying, and she is trying to handle that along with what will happen to her sister’s baby. Hannah is struggling to make ends meet and they aren’t. She doesn’t have much choice as to what to do. Only problem is she hates the music of the Capital Kingsman and she has no love for the drummer, Brett, who knocked up her sister. But what about 9-month-old Chance? He deserves more than she can give him. He has a father and she could lose little Chance so what choice does she have?
Lisa Suzanne writes fantastic rock star romances. Her books are so emotional and realistic and you feel you are in the story – along for the ride.
I loved this book. Nothing Ms. Suzanne writes disappoints. This is another 10 Star book in her collection. Lisa Suzanne is the Queen of Rock star Romance.

4 "so you're saying there's a chance" stars!

I have to admit, after reading No Commitment, I didn't think I was going to like Brett that much. Boy, was I wrong. Lisa can make me fall in love with any hero she writes!

This is Brett (the drummer) and Hannah's story. Their "meet-cute" was unconventional to say the least. Hannah's older sister Brie passed away in a tragic accident, leaving behind a nine-month-old son. With Hannah struggling financially and wanting to honor Brie's wishes, she heads to find the father, Brett Pitzer of the Capital Kingsmen to let him know he has a son and he's the last living relative. I wonder how Brett, the second-biggest ladies man of the band takes that news?

I adored watching Brett and Hannah's relationship blossom. Man, did they have some awkward moments and were they forced to get to know each other quickly in very small spaces. I don't know how Hannah managed without having her own space to go to! However, Brett has a lot of demons. He was raised by parents that weren't loving, who were verbally abusive and tore him down a lot. He doesn't think highly of himself (beyond that he's hot) and he struggles with these huge life changes. He's a bit self-destructive and self-sabotaging and he lets Tommy influence him way too much. I wanted to slap Tommy multiple times in this book. Y'all are 30. Grow up. Besides Brett, if you need someone to influence you, let it be Tyler!

Brett and Hannah go through a lot of ups and downs, but eventually Brett gets a serious wake-up call. Is it enough to realize that he and Hannah are meant to be? That he could be a great father for his son?

There was only one thing that didn't quite jive with me in this one. You all know it's a common critique of mine.

Overall, I'd one-click this one as soon as it comes out! Tommy's story is next and I really don't like him... but I can't wait to see how Lisa makes me love him.

As always, YMMV.

Lisa has done it again. No Chance has all the feels that you could ever ask for. Hannah and Brett both have past life experiences that make them fearful of relationships. But life throws them a curveball. Loss is all Hannah knows about in life. Everyone leaves her at some point. Brett is never good enough. At least that’s how he was raised. Nothing was ever good enough for his parents.
A tragedy and a secret baby bring Hannah and Brett together regardless if they want to or not. This is not an instlove romance. In fact, Hannah can’t stand him. That is until she starts to see beneath the surface. Brett knew Hannah was different but his own insecurities caused him to build an emotional wall around himself.
No Chance is an emotional roller coaster that showcases the ups and downs of dealing with life’s sorrow laced scars. Lisa continues to embody the life and times of a rockstar. From the recording sessions to backstage and everywhere in between, she encompasses the highs and lows of life in a band. This also includes the growth of band members. Brett is a perfect example of the personal growth from a one and run type of guy to the one and only one type of man.
If you have ever dreamed about dating a rock star, No Chance will give you the experience of a lifetime. It’s another 5 star must read addition to your rockstar romance library. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. Al opinions are mine and were not influenced by the author or her promotional team.

No Chance is the second Capital Kingsmen book but can be read as a standalone (No Commitment is the first) though I do recommend reading the series in order to enhance the overall story line. This is the story of Brett (drummer) and Hannah. Through a chance meeting after a band event, Hannah gets to Brett and informs him he is a father. Her sister, who had tragically passed away from a car accident, was the child's mother and Brett is now the only surviving parent and Hannah is his only other relative and current caretaker.
He is a partying, playboy with zero responsibilities (besides the band) and is now responsible for a child. He reluctantly invites Hannah and his son to join them on tour with the band and she has no choice but to accept as she has no means to fully support herself and her nephew because she is a full time student and works part-time.
And so begins the REAL adventure! It's an emotional journey as Hannah mourns the loss of her sister, they both work through their issues and baggage from their pasts and work to come together to find their new "normal" and do the best they can for his son/her nephew - Chance. There is high emotion, high angst and though the characters can, at times, drive you nuts, you are completely drawn in and want it all to work out.
Lisa Suzanne does rock star romance as good as anyone....you will thoroughly enjoy this book!

Lisa Suzanne truly has a very addictive writing style that keeps me grounded in her stories no matter how I feel about the characters which is an amazing talent at the end of the day. See, I wasn't a fan of this hero, Brett, as he was super selfish for quite a bit of the story, and just when I was warming up to him, he totally sunk his battleship. Hannah is a good girl with an upbringing that wasn't ideal after she lost her parents, so she does have some pretty big abandonment issues, especially after her beloved sister died, and she was left with said sister's infant son, Chance. And guess who was the father, yep, Brett, the drummer from the famous band, Capital Kingsman. He has his own share of demons, but they were no excuse for how he treated his son & Hannah. It didn't help that Tommy (one of his bandmates), the most selfish of all, was playing into all of his fears so it will be interesting to see if Ms. Suzanne can actually redeem his horrible self. Just when this family is developing well, BAM! Brett really messes it all up & man, I had no sympathy whatsoever, and is it too much for a hero to actually have to grovel big time before they're forgiven?! Anyway, the opinions are my own so decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The story is full of angst from both of them... actually I think it's from members of Brett's band too but in the perfect amount that makes you feel heavy at heart but not too much to cause you a migraine... or something like that. It is a slow burn enemies to lovers between a rockstar and a nanny who happens to be his kid's aunt. Hannah has been through a lot and I love her strength. I feel heartbreaking for her because she deserves to be loved. Brett has his own baggage and he lives his life as a playboy for so long. I want to smack his head when he hurt Hannah but I understand his thinking method at the moment.... thanks to the author. So yeah, I like that the author makes Hannah and Brett real with their confusions, passions, and griefs. If you are a fan of an angsty rockstar falling in love with a good woman, this book is one for you.

I love, love Hannah and Brett's story. This is definitely a enemies to lovers one for the books. Lisa does not disappoint with No Chance.

Can you imagine being told at a meet and greet that you have a son and his mother is dying? Well, Brett has that happen to him. He was the typical rockstar that did drugs, booze and women with no worries. Different day, different girl was the way of life. That changed when Hannah tells him that her sister was in an accident, has a son and he is Brett's. He remembers her sister but is blown away by the fact that he is a dad. After a DNA test confirms that the boy, Chance, is his, Brett has a decision to make. He offers to take Chance on tour with him for the next three months but he hires Hannah as the nanny. What could possibly go wrong? Will Brett even take time for Chance or is it going to be a big fiasco?

Hannah has lost her whole family and all that she has is her nephew, Chance. She is worried that Brett might take Chance away from her, her only family. She hates Brett for what he did to her sister, as he probably didn't care who he was with. he cannot stand his music as well so when he offers to take her and Chance on tour she has second thoughts. She finally agrees and that is when life gets really exciting. Can she deal with the fact that she hates him but has to live on a bus with him for three months?

Lisa has a way of getting ahold of your heartstrings and playing with them. Will they try to have a relationship or will they fight all the time? Can Brett change his ways and will Hannah open up to new experiences? I love Lisa's writing and each book I read of her's just gets better and better. I can not wait to read the rest of the series.

Okay, so this was a really great book!

The story starts with Brett at a meet and greet for his band Capital Kingsmen, where he gets the shock of his life from a woman claiming that he is the father of her sister’s son. Brett is a party boy (man? He is 30…) that likes to drink, smoke weed, and hook up with a different woman at every stop on their tour. A kid is the last thing he needs in his perfectly carefree life.

Hannah is going through so much when we first meet her. Her sister has been involved in a car accident and she has just told Brett Pitzer, drummer extraordinaire, that he’s the father of her sister’s son. We find out she has had a very difficult past but is trying to move forward because she needs to be there for her nephew. She is a very strong character, putting everything ahead of her own needs.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Hanna at first, only because she hated Brett for knocking up her sister and leaving her to care for the child herself. He didn’t even know he had a kid, so why would she hate him? If he had known and done nothing, then yes, hate him all you want. Down to the fiery pits of hell if you’re so inclined. When he did find out about his son he took measures to make sure he was taken care of, and he took care of Hannah as well. Her hatred was misplaced.

Mid story I was not a fan of Brett. He shut off his feelings and was being an all around butthead towards Hannah and she did not deserve any of that. He didn’t think he could ever be good enough for her or his son, something instilled in him through the actions of his parents. All he had to do was open his eyes and see how Hannah and Chance cared for him and he would have realized that his fears were unfounded. It also didn’t help that his band mate Tommy was a giant douche and kept telling Brett that he wasn’t the kind of guy that did commitment.

What I absolutely loved in this story was that Brett and Hannah were both so supportive of each other’s passions. Hannah had never liked Brett’s music, but when she sees him and the other band members in action she realizes the hard work and commitment that goes into it, and sees the beauty in the music. Brett uncovers Hannah’s photography talent and helps her discover how much it means to her and it becomes a big part of her life.

Brett and Hannah had awesome chemistry and there were some great steamy scenes in this story.

The angst was definitely strong throughout the story. I couldn’t put this down because I just needed to know what happened. It definitely hooked me in and kept me engaged.
