With Michaela in the debt of Shayteen, Whisper is finally free of the Hell World he suffered in for hundreds of demon years. But there seems to be a price for Whisper’s all-new freedom and it has made Whisper’s life just as, or even more complicated. Whisper is serving his true nature and dealing with Michaela’s service to Shayteen, all while trying to hang on to a stubborn soulmate, who won’t forgive him for the most ridiculously perceived transgressions in this life, and one or two from some previous ones. Stuck in the middle of everything, is a broken hearted Gabriel, whose odd obsessions with cooking shows, has turned him into Suzy Homemaker.

~ It’s best to know, you leave those you care about before they leave you. I’m Theadora Langdon … and EVERYTHING sucks.

Wishcraft, The Powers That Be Book Two, by Ali Lucia Sky is epic. Epic and dark. Epic and dark and angsty. It picks up close to where The Dream Keepers left off, I think it is a great addition to The Powers That Be series.

In this story, we see how the choices made in the first book play out amongst our coming-of-agers and their people. Some parts were tragic and uncomfortable to read while other parts were maddening! I was frustrated with the behaviour of one of our three main characters too for a bit. Sue me. I got heavily involved, once again, in this story and I felt a lot of what (I believe) the characters were feeling. For realz.

As mentioned, I felt some difficult feelings but I also felt love, friendship, joy and naughtiness. You can imagine how happy (and hot under the collar) I was when Ms Ali gave us more sex in this book. Mmmmm steamy, detailed, naughty scenes are so appreciated by me. Mmhmm!

By the end of this book, I felt all the feels and I think that many loose ends were tied up. That brought me peace. Now, that's not to say there wasn't angst introduced here. It was delicious and it will lead us right into the next book. I can't wait!

I was looking forward to book two. I just needed to know how the story keeps unfolding. Thankfully I did not have to wait too long.
I like how each chapter is a different character’s POV instead of the book being only one main character telling the story.
I can’t wait for the third book to find out how the story ends!

Book 2 was well written. Great character growth and story growth. Interested to see how the story concludes and what's next.

Wishcraft has upped the ante after The Dream Keepers (Book 1) with some questions answered, and even more questions left without answers. Oh, and that means YOU HAVE TO READ BOOK 1 FIRST! I love all the layers to this colorful world Ali Lucia Sky created, and it didn't seem like it was only a fictitious place to be honest LOL! There are a lot of moving parts playing their part in all the chaos, and I'm not going to come off any of it since it's way more fun to take it on blindly. There's more heat, more suspense, and more paranormal fun in these pages which made it almost impossible to put down for anything. The characters are flawed so I did want to pull my hair out more than once in frustration as I yelled at my kindle LOL! I CANNOT WAIT for the conclusion so my many questions are answered, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It may start a little slow but it is worth every minute you spend reading it! All of the characters are great & you really can't help wanting to know what will happen next! There is a cliffhanger in the first book but the second is about to be released so you won't have to wait for very long! The character's story continues into the next book & it is just as good as the first! It's going to be a trilogy & I can't wait to see what the next book brings & how everything will turn out in the end! If you like paranormal romance you should definitely check these books out!

Holy moly I hated Thea for literally 98% of this book 🙃 so immature and annoying. Which is technically exactly what she was supposed to be, so I guess she was actually perfect.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve got some great relationships forming though, and I’m very excited to get some more of Tristan in book 3!
