Mr. Greene has served as GIS Manager for the City of Hesperia, Calif., in the High Desert for 11 years. Before that, he was the city's senior engineering assistant for 10 years.
Mr. Greene also teaches GIS part-time at Victor Valley College in the Agriculture Natural Resources Department.
The city uses Nobel Systems' Geoviewer, Mobile, and Public Viewer to provide city employees and the public with accurate GIS data. Hesperia's employees use GeoViewer Mobile for Dig-Alert tickets and water valve inspections.
"GIS supports every city department, including public works and code enforcement," Mr. Greene says. "Our city employees rely on GIS platforms in the field, office, or from home."
Mr. Greene has lived in the High Desert since 1972. He has been married for 36 years. The couple's 25-year-old son is working on his master’s degree in religious studies.
Mr. Miazga has worked with the El Toro Water District for 18 years. Mr/ Miazga grew up in a small town south of Kalamazoo, MI, called Centreville and moved to CA at 21. He holds a bachelor's and Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management Information Sciences, from California State University.
Mr. Miazga's mission is to give his coworkers, both office and field, the tools and information they need in a timely, reliable, secure manner to do their jobs most efficiently.
He is an IT "jack-of-all-trades," with responsibilities ranging from networks and phone systems and hardware and software decisions to fixing the gas pumps when they go down.
Mr. Miazga lives in Diamond Bar with his 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter and enjoys spending time baking bread and disc golfing.
Ms. Paluga has been the General Manager of Valencia City Water District for more than 12 years. She oversees the district's operations, delivering clean and safe water to 25,000 people daily.
Ms. Paluga is a Career Executive Service Eligible and a Senior Member of the Royal Institute of Public Administrators, Singapore, and a fellow of the Rotary Club of Metro Valencia. She is also a member of various water district associations, including as Executive Director of NORMIN-NRMC, Inc.; Secretary of the Philippine Association of Water Districts; and Bukidnon Association of Water Districts. She is also the current auditor of the Mindanao Association of Water Districts.
An enthusiast for women's empowerment, she is one of the mentors of WEDU, an international organization that envisions half of the world leaders as women. She is also a certified member of Pinoy Atleta Community, Jumprope Philippines, and a Spartan racer.
