An imaginary hedgehog fairy made me famous.
A blizzard made me fall in love.

When I was a kid I used to doodle pictures of my best friend.
Well, my best imaginary friend: Harley the Hedgehog Fairy.
Turns out that making up stories about her catapulted me into children's book stardom.

Now I'm living my dream and working from home.
I’d rather spend my time creating stories than face the real world.
Except, my agent has other plans. He's booked me on a signing tour across the country.
Six weeks outside of my comfort zone.

I thought that was painful - until I saw Morgan Bradford entering a bookstore holding the hand of a little girl.
He told me he didn't want commitment.

But I guess he didn't want commitment with me.
After five painful minutes, I see him off and hope we never cross paths again.
I’m not that lucky.

A blizzard, a car accident and a concussion send me back to Winter Valley...
And under Morgan's care.

Maybe I am that lucky.

Home With You is book two in the Winter Valley series by Claudia Burgoa and Grahame Claire. I loved the first book in the series, Holiday With You, which was Colin and Audrey’s book. Now it’s time for Colin’s brother, Morgan’s book. This is a sweet, lovely second chance holiday book that I can’t wait to tell you about.

Peighton Peterson grew up in Winter Valley. She had a lonely childhood. Her best friend and companion was Harley The Fairy Hedgehog, a product of her imagination. Now, as an adult, Harley is the star in a series of children’s books and has made Peighton a very successful author under her pen name, Julie Bryant. She lives alone in New York, in her small apartment. Her agent is forcing her to do a six week book tour for the release of her latest book. She is dreading the trip and all the people she will have to meet. She’s especially dreading the stops that are close to Winter Valley, Colorado. Because she never wants to go back there since “HE” still lives there. A man she hopes never to have to face again. The man who broke her heart.

Morgan Bradford lives in Winter Valley where he grew up and where his family still lives. He owns and runs a chain of auto mechanic shops and is very successful. Morgan is being forced to take his niece to a book signing for her favorite author and there she is, the woman who he never got over, the woman he never stopped loving. When he later encounters her in a car accident in the snow, he knows this is his chance. She needs someone to care for her and he needs time to prove to her that they deserve a second chance. That they are perfect together. That she is his home.

“Have you ever made a mistake?
Anyone ever forgiven you for those mistakes?
Maybe you’re back in Winter Valley for a reason.”

This is such a beautiful story of forgiveness and second chances. Both Morgan and Peighton realize just how empty their lives were until they found each other again. Just like in the first book, I’m in love with the beauty of this town. I want to go to their town square, I want to sit in the library. Morgan and Peighton clearly never got over each other and I believe fate had a hand in bringing them back together. But will they see this as their chance for happiness? Or will they enjoy their time together and return to their previous lives? Maybe some Christmas magic will help them along!

“She has always been mine, even when I let her go.”

4 Second Chance Stars

Home with you was such a cute second change holiday read. I really enjoyed it and it got me in the holiday spirit. Had me setting the mood. I plugged my Christmas tree up and had some hot cocoa while reading it. Morgan was so yummy. He really made the book for me. Peighton was great too I just loved Morgan a bit more. Both Morgan and Peighton's families were great. I was glad that Peighton didn't just let him back in he had to work to win her trust back. Both Morgan and Peighton were really relatable and my heart hurt for them both. I could feel their love and emotions through the pages.

Peighton wrote kids books about her childhood imaginary friend Harley the hedgehog which was really cute. Perry was adorable and I really liked Byron Langdon. Morgan really won me over the way he worked so hard to when Peighton back. The way he took care of her after her car wreck. The sexual tension was strong in this book. This book was so good. It had the perfect amount of forgiveness, sweetness and deep love. The end was my favorite. I didn't read book one but I think I will go back and check it out!

I’m your only option.” She snaps her fingers. “That’s it. I’m in hell. I died in a car accident. This is my worst nightmare which from now on, I’ll live for eternity. “ “What are you talking about? You hit your head that hard, huh?” “No. This is the beginning of my torture. I binged Lucifer with my sister, and in one episode, they showed how hell works.”

I love a good second chance romance and add in a holiday romance and forced proximity and this was fantastic!

Morgan and Peighton are from the same small town of Winter Valley, Colorado, but their love story begins back in Boston where they both are for college. For years they’re in love and happy, and then Morgan breaks up with Peigh for no known reason to her and goes back home.

Now fast forward years later and Peighton is a famous children book writer/artist. She’s on a book tour and runs into Morgan and his niece. If that isn’t enough, she gets in a car accident and is stuck at Morgan’s house because all the hotels are full due to the storm and Christmas being near.

Peighton was really hurt by Morgan and it took a while for him to earn her trust again, as it should. Morgan was fantastic and I could see why he did why he did when he was young. I loved seeing Peighton rediscover Winter Valley as an adult and I truly loved these two together.

This story was a lot of fun and gave me the warm and fuzzy Christmas feels!

What's better than a second chance with your first love, how about it happening during Christmastime in your hometown. This was like a Hallmark move...only a little spicier.

Peighton and Morgan have a past one that has left them with holes in their heart that nothing has filled even thought they are both successful. Peighton is an established children's author and Morgan has a few auto repair shops, but there was still something missing from their lives.

Peighton is heading out on a book tour and that is where the two meet again...like I said it has all the makings of a Hallmark movie. You're going to fall in love not only with the main couple of this book but all of the secondary characters as well. I really enjoyed this being back in Winter Valley and I'm glad Claudia Burgoa and Grahame Claire have decided to continue this series.

If you enjoy Small Town Romances, Second Chance Romances, or Sweet and steamy Contemporary Romances I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

I really liked this book. The tension between Peighton and Morgan had me captivated and I was just dying to see how their story was going to play out. I loved that Peighton didn't make it easy for Morgan to work his way back into her life. It added some great sexual tension and just the perfect amount of angst.

Even with the angst though it was a really sweet story. There were a lot of swoon worthy moments that had me rooting for Morgan and made it so easy to fall in love with him and Peighton. Overall, a very enjoyable story that I would recommend to anyone. It is the second in the Winter Valley series but can be read as a standalone in my opinion.

Home With You is the second book in the Winter Valley series and I was really hopeful for this book as I absolutely adored the first book and couldn't put that down. I will say that I struggled with this one because the pacing felt so much slower than what the first book delivered. And also I just wasn't a fan with the conflict in the story. The reasons for the second chance relationship just felt like a filler to me. It didn't really add anything genuine in the conflict interest and I struggled working through this one. It might work for some readers, but it just wasn't for me. When it comes to second chance, I really like the reason that broke them up to be relevant and not for reasons that would break someone up. I just didn't understand the reason the hero broke them up, it made zero sense to me. But that is just my impression on the situation there.

Overall I liked some aspects to the story, had a light Christmas feel and a decent grovel. But an enjoyable installment and curious to see about future installments.

I adored this gorgeous, heartfelt, second-chance romance!

"I sometimes had this fantasy where we crossed paths again. Our souls and our hearts would realize that they belonged to each other."

Peighton Peterson has avoided Winter Valley for years, not only because of her negative childhood memories, but also the guy who broke who heart lives there. However, when her book tour has her coming face to face with Morgan Bradford for the first time in a decade, she's not quite prepared for her own reaction and feelings, especially when he comes to her rescue and insists on looking after her at his home.

"My heart is still trying to find a new beat, which is impossible. No other rhythm is like hers. Fast when it's happy and slow and tender when it loves."

Morgan broke his own heart when he made the decision to let Peighton go. With Christmas just round the corner, he's feeling like this is fate handing him a second chance at love. However, he's got his work cut out for him in trying to persuade her to give him, to give them, another shot.

"Your voice. Your presence. You are the only thing in the world that brings me back to life and lets my heart feel deeply."

I enjoyed this story so much. The words were from the heart - deeply felt and moving. Morgan was a noble guy who sacrificed love for his family, and I was so glad he was getting a second chance, even though Peighton didn't make it easy for him. He showed her through word and deed that he still loved her and wanted to put her first in his life. His tenderness totally melted my heart! Peighton carried a fair amount of baggage left over from her life growing up in Winter Valley. It was heartwarming when she realised that maybe her perspective on the past was somewhat skewed. These two were sexy, connected, and so deserving of a second chance. I adored the Bradford clan and can't wait to read more stories about them, and perhaps one about Peighton's sister, Paisley? Looking forward to finding out!

Book 231 of 2022

I loved jumping back into the Winter Valley series! This story picks up, very naturally, right where the first book left off. I loved Morgan and Peighton. This was on the shorter side for a full-length story (230ish pages), but the authors never lost focus of their primary story line. I could’ve easily read another 100 pages of their story, to add more depth, and been completely satisfied. This town & the Bradford family is just delightful. Looking forward to the third & final book in this series!

5 star Review Home With You (Winter Valley #2) by Claudia Burgoa & Grahame Claire

AUDIO REVIEW:
I am really enjoying this series from Claudia Burgoa and Grahame Claire. As with the first book in the series, this was well written with characters that are easy to relate too and whose story you cannot help but fall for. I have no idea which author wrote what or where one ends and the other starts as the story flowed so well.
Home With You is a book that will make you smile and gave me a much needed boost in a week that has been difficult. From the first chapter to the last, I was invested in Morgan Bradford and author Peighton’s second chance at love story. The writing is so descriptive that I would love to visit Winter Valley
After a car accident and stuck in Winter Valley, Peighton finds herself re connecting with her first love Morgan. Can they re kindle the love that they once shared? Or is it to late? One click and find out.

Love is ALWAYS worth a second chance especially when fate brings you together!

Morgan is content with his life! He has his shop, and his family what more does a man need? At one point in time it was love but obligations had him coming home and though he’s made a good life for himself one person had always been missing!

All of Peighton’s dreams have come true! She sells books world wide about her imaginary friend Harley! Now that her books are more popular than ever and are about to become a movie she has to embark on a signing tour that takes her to the one place she never wanted to return too; Winter Valley! She knows Morgan is there and she doesn’t want to be reminded of the man who let her go!

Being back in the charming little mountain town of Winter Valley was such a great way to start the holiday season! I love the Bradford family already but getting to meet Peighton and Harley was the real treat! I’m tempted to buy my son the hedgehog he wants for Christmas after reading this book!

Burgoa and Claire are definitely my go to authors when it comes to holiday romances because they definitely know how to bring out the cheer with their stories!

Looking for a warm, fuzzy Christmas Second Chance Romance done perfectly? Well, look no further, because Claudia has done it perfectly in this 2nd Winter Valley book.

Morgan Bradford and Peighton Peterson fell in love in college but Morgan broke up with her and left town before finishing his degree with no explanation. He broke her heart, so for 10 years Peighton hasn't returned to her hometown of Winter Valley.

Successful Author Peighton reluctantly goes on a book signing very near her hometown. A snowstorm, accident, and injuries bring her to the last place she ever wanted to be - Morgan's house and him as her caretaker! Sparks fly between these two but Morgan is determined not to let her go again!

This is a wonderful feel good book that will have you cheering for these two to find their way back to each other! High!y recommend this book!!

I didn't want this to end! Peighton and Morgan's story is one that will captivate you and hold your attention until the very last page. I loved their second-chance romance! I just really loved Peighton and Morgan. When he said, he's going to grovel and take his second chance, he really did. It just makes the tension and chemistry between them more potent and because it's obvious they still love each other.

What a beautiful story overall. I loved the familial aspect in the story too and how Morgan's family was taken by her. Highly recommend this. I can't wait for the next one already.

My heart is bursting with happiness. I can still feel the emotions from Peighton and Morgan's story. Second chances are always so beautiful because the characters have to grow and move on from their past hurts to move forward together. That's what happens with them. The chemistry is electric and I just love this town.

I just finished the audio and the narrators did an amazing of bringing the characters to life and I couldn't stop listening.

Amazon / Apple Books / Barnes & Noble / Google Play / Kobo

Peighton has really made something of herself with her successful children's books featuring her own childhood friend, a hedgehog named Harley. She likes (so she claims) her solitary life in her small New York apartment, with no contact with her old hometown. Then her agent makes her go on a book tour, and guess where one of the stops is? You guessed it...

When Morgan walks into a book signing with his niece so she can meet her favorite author, he's excited to confirm the author Julia is his only love, Peighton. When Peighton finds herself the victim of an accident, Morgan knows he has to take her to his home and help her recuperate. And to explain why he left her, and why she needs him back in her life again - he never stopped loving her, and he'll do anything to have her forgiveness, to keep her heart safe this time. Will Peighton let him in?

If this small town can work its holiday magic, then yes, Peighton's heart will thaw, and let him back in. If she can let go of her fear of being hurt, if she can trust in the love that she still feels for him.

This is a seriously sweet second chance holiday romance. I love how hard Peighton makes Morgan work to get his second chance, I love how sweetly he woos her, and I love the secondary cast of this little magical town. I cannot wait for more holiday sweetness from these two authors.

Winter Valley, Book 2
By: Claudia Burgoa, Grahame Claire
Narrated by: Joe Arden, Grace Grant

I love reading holiday romances all year long. They do my heart good, and this series is warm and happy! This is the second book in the Winter Valley series, and I love it! A second chance has come around for Morgan, and he is not going to let it go! Always taking care of everyone else, he never has time for love. When Peighton comes to town to promote her children's book, he seems an opportunity. She has no use for the man who broke her heart, but when circumstances beyond her control leave her in his care, it is hard for her to keep her feelings from surfacing. But is it enough to keep them together? A family Christmas, an opportunity, and hearts are all on the agenda for this holiday and how it turns out? Give it a listen to see! It will be a surprise!

Joe Arden and Grace Grant give us the holiday spirit with a wonderful narration. These two seasoned performers know how to bring out all the feelings and make me feel at home. I love them together and had a great time listening to them tell me this wonderful story.

4* Second Time Around Stars

This is the second book in the Winter Valley Series and can be read as a standalone. The story of Peighton and Morgan was a good feel second chance at love.

Peighton and Morgan grew up together in Winter Valley and then went off to college in Boston. They fell in love and were happy until Morgan, out of the blue and one month before graduation, leaves Boston and heads back to Winter Valley without any explanation. A broken hearted Peighton vows to never see him again and makes a successful life for herself as an author and illustrator in New York.

When her tour brings her to Winter Valley, she hopes against all hopes that she will not bump into Morgan. However, fate brings them back together again when she is involved in a car accident, and their feelings for each other are re-ignited. It was magical watching them fall in love again amongst their family and friends at Christmas time.

This is the perfect holiday/Christmas romance which will leave you feeling happy and content.

If you are looking for a warm, cozy, holiday, second chance romance look no farther. Home with you is book 2 in the Winter Valley series by Claudia Burgoa and Grahame Claire. Last year they introduced us to Winter Valley and the Bradford family with Holiday with You.

Home with You is Morgan Bradford's story. Morgan gave up his dreams to help his family. He is Mr. Fix-it. He has gone above and beyond for his family, while regretting leaving the woman he loves the entire time.

Peighton has made a name for herself writing and illustrating children's books about an imaginary hedgehog fairy. For most of her life she has tried to be invisible. Then her agent convinces her to do a 6 week tour for her books, ending the tour to close to where she grew up for her liking.

In true Winter Valley fashion a snow storm leads to a car wreck that may end in a HEA. This book will give you so many warm fuzzy feelings. I truly enjoyed following Morgan and Peighton as they worked trough their past and focused on moving towards the future. With appearances from all of our beloved Bradford family, and a few cameos from other favorite characters Home with You is a fun easy read that will leave you with a smile.

I've read Ms.Burgoa's work before but i'm new to Grahame Claire and ever since i found out they were all joining forces i couldn't wait to dive into one of their books! I stumbled across this book by chance and as soon as i reached the end of the synopsis i knew i had to read it first! I so enjoyed this story!

Peighton and Morgan's journey pulled me in right from the moment they're reunited! I really liked how these two were brought back into each other's lives and getting to see how they'd tackle things. I so enjoyed the chemistry between these two and how i felt so much with them!

Just like the cover did when i first saw it, this story and it's characters warmed my heart and gave me the christmas vibes i so needed this month!

With Home With You, Ms.Burgoa and the Grahame Claire duo have created such a good read! I can't wait to go back into the Winter Valley world with the first installment, Holiday With You and the next two installments!

This is one of the most repetitive and boring books I’ve read…ever. The entire book (except the last two chapters) takes place over the course of maybe a week or two and the only thing you get from either person is how they want to be together but how? Will she forgive him? Where would they live? Can he convince her to be together? That’s it…that’s the whole book.

There were also inconsistencies that made no sense. Everyone in town bullied her for being poor because her mom was a cleaning lady…but when she goes back everyone is super nice…literally everyone. The librarian said she told the bullies to stop for some BS reason only a 5 year old would believe and it stopped. So was she only bullied as a small girl and held a lifelong grudge? None of it made sense. Or why he left her? His family was on the brink of financial ruin? What happened to this whole storyline?

Like I said…nothing was really discussed…it was just a long, boring regurgitation of the same indecision. Pass.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Home With You (Winter Valley #2) is a delightful book that really puts you in the holiday spirit. It was so wonderful revisiting the beautiful town of Winter Valley. I’ve never wanted to move a fictional town so bad before in my life. I adored Morgan and Peighton as they had an undeniable connection and chemistry which made for a great storyline. And bonus points for the fact that Peighton is a children’s author who created a hedgehog fairy. I’m also happy that the characters from Holiday With You made appearances as well as Peighton’s family.

Morgan and Peighton’s second chance romance pulled me in immediately and it was filled with hilarious antics, forgiveness, heartfelt moments, love and hot scenes in the right places. Home With You gave me all of the warm and cozy feels and it was everything and more.

What a gorgeous second chance romance.
This one left me feeling all warm and cosy.
Morgan and Peighton thought they had found their HEA... but circumstances changed when Morgan just leaves.
Heartbroken Peighton throws herself into her career.
Morgan, having chosen to save his family over his own happiness has never gotten over the love of his life.
10 years on and fate throws them back together.
Will this situation give the, back the HEA they both deserve... or will the past be too much to overcome.
This was beautifully written and makes you believe in the miracle of Christmas.
Cute heartfelt read.

Cute second chance romance

Have you ever regretted a decision almost as soon as you made it? That’s what Morgan has lived with for 10yrs…choosing his family over love and walking away from the love of his life. Now he had a chance to make things right…if she’ll let him! 10yrs ago, Peighton had her heart ripped out Morgan. Now she’s a famous author/illustrator and back in Winter Valley for a book signing…and she can’t get out of there fast enough. Except fate has other ideas. Peighton is stuck in her tiny hometown with non other than Morgan as her caretaker. Can these star crossed lovers finally get a happy ending? Cute story.

Peighton and Morgan had a beautiful live story. They were college sweethearts, Morgan broke her heart BUT he had his reasons, then they see each other ten years later. She first even want to speak to him and he’s all about getting back the love of his life. He’s never stopped loving her and surprisingly so did she. But it wasn’t easy for Morgan and these two had a lot of air to clear up. As always his family were amazing and so was hers. Beautiful ending and funny epilogue.

I absolutely loved Peighton and Morgan’s story. Second Chance romances have been hitting me in all the right places. Their journey is wonderful and takes place in such a whimsical small town. Winter Valley is a place I’d very much love to visit especially during the holiday season. These authors did a fab job penning an low angst yet sweet and swoony story. A must read!
