Hoop it up on Hinds Plaza with us for World Hoop Day. Angela Reitter of "Color Me Hoopy" will provide the music and the moves to inspire everyone to get up on their feet and join the fun.
World Hoop Day is celebrated each year on the first Saturday of October and this year the library is joining the celebration.
Bring your own hoop if you have one or use the ones supplied by the library to hoop it up on the plaza. Angela Reitter of Color Me Hoopy will supply the music and lead fun and easy to follow group dances while encouraging everyone to get up and move.
No registration or experience is needed. Just come for a bit of fun that is sure to lift your spirts.
Kids can also take part in a special "Learn to be a Hoopstar" class being held prior to the party. Register for the class at this link.
Hooping allows kids and adults to have fun and keep physically fit. This event is presented in partnership with the Mayors Wellness Campaign community health initiative.
Angela Reitter is a certified HoopLove Coach & Hoola-Fit instructor.
