The Bendigo Community Health Services Settlement Services team has created a new video to highlight the important role of the interpreter and how to best utilise their skills.
Interpreters have become an essential element of our multicultural services and working with refugees.
Our Settlement Services team manager Martine Street said interpreters had become an essential element of delivering quality multicultural services and working with refugees.
"There's a few basic rules to follow to ensure a great experience for the interpreter, client and staff member so we thought a little video explaining this in simple terms would be a great asset for not just our organistion but anyone who faces language barriers in their day to day work," Martine said.
The video was produced by Settlement Services team volunteer Cameron Jones from VoiceBox Films.
