4 Queer Women On Why Their Tattoos Are So Much More Than Body Art
For British Vogue’s A Celebration of #Pride series, filmmaker Jade Ang Jackman asked four women – model and trans activist Munroe Bergdorf, charity founder and community organiser Tanya Compas, and tattoo artists Nish Rowe and Emily Malice – to reflect on the meaning behind their body art. Watch the video for their thoughts on how a tattoo can help someone reclaim their body, affirm their sexual identity, or simply deliver a succinct “fuck you” to a society that tries to tell them they don’t belong.
