The RNLI is the charity that Saves Lives at Sea. RNLI lifeboat crews protect hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland through our 24-hour search and rescue service. To do so, they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from. The RNLI Lifeboat Station at Galway was established in 1995 because of the increasing number of search and rescue incidents in the area. Today the station operates an inshore B class Atlantic 85 lifeboat.
