The UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative carries out this survey as a basis for a global assessment report on the status of the promotion and development of life cycle approaches, networks and databases worldwide. The Initiative intends to monitor progress towards its Phase 3 vision of mainstreaming life cycle approaches around the world through this survey. The survey is also meant to identify opportunities for life cycle networks creation and expansion and support the development of LCA databases. In addition to the results of the survey, the global assessment will include recommendations for concrete actions by different stakeholders at the international, regional and national level.
