At Lynwood Unified School District, we are dedicated to our ongoing work in providing students with modernized learning environments that inspire and support their continued growth and success.
It is my pleasure to share with you our 2024 Facilities Update, which features projects that have been completed or are coming soon to Lynwood Unified. These modernizations, funded through Bond Measures K and N and additional grants, outline our efforts to enhance learning environments and continue ensuring the success of all our students.
As part of our commitment to providing safe and nurturing educational settings, Lynwood Unified continues to prioritize and allocate funds based on the highest needs within the District. This includes vital infrastructure improvements, upgrading amenities and refining the visual state of campuses to continue fostering engaging spaces for learning.
While the District is continuously progressing, it is important to acknowledge that prioritizing projects at each school ensures effective management and successful outcomes. We encourage you to explore these projects, understanding that we are dedicated to equity and providing maximum positive impact for students.

Unified sites have undergone flooring upgrades. The new flooring offers greater durability and will increase the functionality of learning environments while providing students, staff, teachers and visitors with a safer and more comfortable atmosphere.

Roofing repairs are being conducted on campuses with the greatest need, providing improved protection against weather, leaks and other damages. The updated roofing will help increase the structural integrity of campuses, providing students and staff with a greater sense of safety while on campus.

Public Address (PA) systems will enhance communication efficiency across campuses through use for routine messages and emergency announcements and will further bolster campus safety efforts and procedures.

ESSER III AND MEASURE N | ESTIMATED COMPLETION: 2025
New HVAC systems will be installed in classrooms with the highest need, increasing indoor air quality and ensuring students and staff can thrive in suitable learning and work environments. The upgrades ensure energy efficiency, providing consistent and comfortable temperatures throughout the facilities.

Several Lynwood Unified elementary school playgrounds will undergo a series of updates to increase the safety and exterior appeal of campuses, including painting and equipment repairs.

Building G of the Lynwood High School Imperial Campus is now demolished, including the foundation removal. The work to begin construction of the new building is estimated to begin in Summer 2024 and be complete –with students returning to the flagship campus – in Fall 2027.

Para revitalizar los entornos de los planteles escolares, numerosos sitios del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Lynwood han realizado mejoramientos en los suelos. Los nuevos suelos ofrecen una mayor durabilidad y aumentarán la funcionalidad de los entornos de aprendizaje al tiempo que proporciona a los alumnos, personal, maestros y visitantes un ambiente más seguro y cómodo.
