Beginner's Guide to LaTeX and Overleaf

LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system and is available as free software. It has features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents while Overleaf is a collaborative, cloud-based LaTeX editor. This workshop will provide participants a guide on how to start developing documents and presentations in LaTeX using Overleaf.

This workshop is for those who want to learn LaTeX and how to use Overleaf to edit and publish. This is open to undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, faculty, and practicing engineers in the field of science and engineering are welcome to participate in this workshop.

Important
It is ideal if participants sign-up for a free Overleaf account at https://www.overleaf.com prior to the workshop. You just need an email address to sign-up. Participants will also be given a copy of the presentation materials in LaTeX and available in Overleaf.
