AUTOMATION ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP

As an Automation/Process Engineering Intern, you will put your hands-on different challenges working within a dynamic, markedly young and international environment. Within the Industrial Engineering team there is a wide range of opportunities including PLC Programming, HMI Programming, Mechanical Design, Project Management and Program Management in the field of Automation, Mechanical Design, Robot and Machine Vision implementation.

ACCOUNTING INTERNSHIP

The Global Business Service is a Shared Service Center network that provides Accounting services to our global subsidiaries. The EMEA Shared Service Center is accountable for the following processes: Accounts Payable, General Ledger & Asset, Budget, Process Improvement, Cash Banking, etc. for the European subsidiaries.

As Accounting Intern, you will join the GBS Team and support your collegues in the following activities:

• month-end closing accounting closing activities (accruals, prepayments, inventory, payroll) 
• ensuring the communication flow with our subsidiaries
• managing the balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• contributing to the balance sheet accounts reconciliation

As a Manufacturing & Engineering Intern, you will put your hands-on different challenges working within a dynamic, markedly young and international environment. In this role you will support the development and implemetation of continuous improvement solutions, analyzing and monitoring manufacturing performance through the main KPIs to define possible corrective actions to put in place. You will also shadow your manager in conducting investigation and troubleshooting on the production plants.

NPI PLANNING INTERNSHIP

The figure will be responsible for supporting the verification of the producibility regarding new collection models. Here are some responsibilities you will have:

• Monitoring and support of new models, frames and components, industrialization flow through the several stages of New Collection development.
• Interacting with all actors involved in the industrialization process in order to predict and manage criticalities defining recovery actions to reach requested market delivery.
• Supporting production plants giving visibility in advance about constraints and criticalities linked to new products production
• Development and discussion of official NPI dashboard.
• Official NPI Plant Reporting update.

RFID INTERNSHIP

You will support our Operations upgrading and finding new solutions related to RFID encoding process along the Supply Chain. You will perform all activities associated with the design and test of the solution. The candidate will join the Business Process Improvement team whose purpose is to guide the innovation inside Luxottica manufacturing all over the world.

Your tasks include:

• Understand user needs and help the business to go from an AS IS procedure to a TO BE solution through the implementation of new technologies.
• Perform site analyses to determine system configurations, processes to be impacted, or on-site obstacles to technology implementation.
• Perform acceptance testing on newly installed or updated systems.
• Integrate tags, readers, or software in radio frequency identification device (RFID) designs. Perform systems analysis, test devices, select appropriate tags and determine placement locations.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, store excellence, sourcing and IT teams to implement new solutions.

INDUSTRY 4.0 INTERNSHIP

You will support our Operations allowing the integration of machinery data with the production management system (SAP) in order to comply with the requirements of the stability law and access the benefits of over-amortization I4.0. The candidate will join the Business Process Improvement team whose purpose is to guide the innovation inside Luxottica manufacturing all over the world, including MES, Traceability, Artificial Intelligence and Advance Manufacturing Analytics solutions. The team defines, drives and delivers end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business.

Your tasks include:

• Lead the activities with relation to new assets eligible for I4.0 benefits, connecting to plants and IT, and collecting all the needed documentation in collaboration with Administration and Consultants for the official certification.
• Work with business users to capture and analyse information related to the adoption of I4.0 and IIOT for Smart Manufacturing.
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company opportunities to drive business solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, business experts and data scientist team on the interconnected machines data.
• Identify gaps, weaknesses, and inefficiencies in solution today.
• Understand user needs and help the business to go from an AS IS procedure to a TO BE solution through the implementation of interconnected machines.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to capture new I4.0 opportunities and solutions at a global level (Italy, US, Brazil, China, Thailand etc.)

• Sourcing responsible for the following materials category: Industrial PKG, Material for Lenses
• Manage suppliers relationship, projects identification and implementation also dealing with other Regions, negotiations, Budget and PPV analysis, new suppliers scouting, participation at the T4 Indirect Materials with the other depts involved.
