M3GAN [Movie Review] |Another movie about killer dolls? Bring it on! 

I was so looking forward to watching this one with my screamer friends.

• Originally shot as an R-rated movie. But later the producers decided that the movie is more effective after reshooting and toning down some violence. 
• Some shots were references and paying homage to Child's Play (1988).

Gemma, a robot/ toy technician, has to take care of her niece, Cady, when Cady's parents died in an accident. Gemma who apparently not good with children, was clueless as to how to communicate and handle Cady.

Her cluelessness with Cady motivates her to create M3GAN (acronym for Model 3 Generative Android), a life-like artificial intelligence android doll. Her motivation with M3GAN (pronounced Megan) is so that Megan will be a loyal companion to a child that it has paired with and also to be an ally for the adult caretakers. She designs Megan so that she could focus on her job while Megan takes care of Cady. 

After a successful demonstration to her boss, David, Gemma's team was put into work to prepare for a bugger presentation to company director and investor. 

In order for Megan to better care for Cady, Gemma brings Megan home and let Cady and Megan spend time together. Now everyone is happy - Cady is no longer alone and she is happier, and Gemma can focus on the presentation.

But others start seeing that Cady is too emotionally attached to Megan, which would be extremely difficult to break later on. 

Meanwhile, Megan starts learning, adapting and evolving to her surroundings, especially when and where Cady's welfare, emotion and safety is concern. She targets everyone and everything that's hurting Cady, emotionally and physically. Up to a point of killing a neighbour's dog and a bully at a camp. 

Gemma has her suspicions when she realises that some data was erased from Megan's memory. Gemma decides to takes Megan out of her relationship with Cady, which becomes very hard as Cady is overly attached to Megan now.

Can Gemma resolve the relationship problem this time around or will she continue to rely on the AI element?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.9/ 5.0 Nothing good can come out with trusting too much on an AI. We learnt that from The Terminator. I bet all already from the start that trusting Megan too much would be a very bad move. 

But the way Megan controls Cady and the surroundings make the movie interesting. 

Oh. And her fashion is spot on!

And the songs choice are very current!

Cast: 4.9/ 5.0 I hate Cady coz she is one rude and spoiled kit. Yes, everyone was great!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, anyone wants to come and join me?
