C’est dans cette optique que SME Mauritius et GS1 (MAURITIUS) LTD, compagnie subsidiaire de la Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), ont repensé le Bar Code Registration Scheme. À travers ce nouveau plan, un soutien financier de SME Mauritius sera offert aux entrepreneurs dans leurs démarches pour l’obtention de codes-barres GS1. Extension of the Fertiliser Advance Scheme for Crop 2021 The Fertiliser Advance Scheme has been extended for Crop 2021 on the same terms and conditions as has been decided for the current year. The decision has been taken based on the recommendations of the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority (MCIA), with the objective of encouraging sugarcane planters. Those of them cultivating up to 100 ha of sugarcane would be eligible to benefit from the Scheme and 50 % of the advance allocated to them for the purchase of fertilisers would be waived. Bernard MOGA, qui a récemment pris ses fonctions comme Proviseur du Lycée La Bourdonnais a effectué sa première visite à la MCCI Business School le jeudi 12 novembre 2020. Il était accompagné de son adjointe, Mme Nora BOUKHEROUFA. Ils ont eu une session de travail avec le personnel enseignant et l'administration de l'école. Le Proviseur s’est par la suite adressé aux étudiants de l’école. Le Proviseur du Lycée La Bourdonnais est un maillon important dans le dispositif pédagogique des BTS. En effet, le lycée La Bourdonnais fait partie de la convention tripartite incluant également le Rectorat de la Réunion et l’Ambassade de France et portant depuis plus de 30 ans sur l’organisation des formations BTS à Maurice permettant aux jeunes Mauriciens d’accéder à un diplôme d’Etat français. ICC and COMESA Business Council join forces to foster private sector development in Africa The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Business Council (CBC) have announced a commitment to strengthen private sector development in Africa. The collaboration was formally announced by ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO and CBC Chair Marday Venkatasamy during a virtual meeting of the ICC/WCF Africa Action Network held on 9 November 2020. The meeting gathered more than 65 leaders from ICC and CBC networks, including ICC national committees, chambers of commerce, business associations and other partners to find practical solutions to local and regional challenges in Africa. SADC Business Council- Online Event The SADC Business Council will be hosting a virtual meeting on 4 December 2020 to establish a Non-Tariff Barriers (NTB) and Trade Facilitation Working Group.
