Maroondah Volleyball - Expression of Interest to be on the Coaching Staff
Maroondah Volleyball runs a number of coaching programs, and is looking for coaches for 2023.  These programs include:

  • Spikezone - Primary School Aged - Thursday afternoons from 4:15pm to 7:00pm during school terms.
  • VolleyAll - All abilities program for children and youth - Thursday afternoons from 4:15pm to 5:45pm
  • Maroondah Eastern Institute of Volleyball (MEIV) - Secondary School Aged - Tuesday afternoons from 4:15pm to 6:15pm during school terms.
  • Social Sundays - All Ages - Sunday afternoons from 5:30pm to 8:00pm all year (excluding long weekends and some school holiday weekends).
  • Sporting Schools - Primary and Secondary Schools - Variable times and days during school terms (conducted at the schools).
  • Maroondah Cobras - State League Club from U17 Juniors to Premiers - Tuesday and Thursday night training, and Saturday games from February to August each year (training times vary for each team).
  • Strength and Conditioning Training - Required min Cert III in Fitness, desired diploma in Sports.  This coach would be running programs in the gym within Maroondah Nets supporting our other programs on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights.

Excluding the Strength and Conditioning coach, all other coaches will require a minimum level 1 Volleyball coaching qualification.  We support and encourage our coaches to strive for level 2 coaching qualifications.  In addition, the higher level coaches are expected to be level 2 or above.

All Coaches are required to a have a working with children card, and coaching staff are supported with volunteer reimbursement payments.
