Aidan Keena's third goal of pre-season earned Cheltenham Town a draw in their final pre-season friendly of the summer at Newport County AFC.
The League Two side led through Seb Palmer-Houlden's 61st minute goal, deflecting Aaron Wildig's shot past Luke Southwood.
But Irish striker Keena nodded in from close range after his initial effort had hit the underside of the bar when Liam Sercombe's corner was helped on by trialist midfielder Curtis Thompson and then Rob Street towards the far post.
Will Ferry was due to play at left wing-back, but he withdrew after feeling some tightness during the warm-up at Rodney Parade.
Former Hearts, Bristol Rovers and Peterborough United defender Michael Smith made his second appearance, going on along with Thompson in the 64th minute.
