Oregon Area Progressives 2024 Volunteer Interest Survey

What is the Oregon Area Progressive’s mission? Our mission is to build and strengthen the grassroots organization by educating and empowering people to act on local, state, and national issues. Oregon Area Progressives works collaboratively with other grassroots groups to make lasting change in our community and beyond. Anyone who shares this common purpose is welcome to join us.

Who are the Oregon Area Progressives (OAP)? OAP is a collaborative local grassroots group committed to organizing support for a progressive policy agenda, ranging from 'need in our midst' and pipelines that run through Wisconsin to immigration policy and national elections. OAP members plan and participate in actions from phone banks to protests on a regular basis. Members of OAP are also involved in a variety of other organizations and bring that passion and expertise to the group. 

The 2024 Presidential and US Senate election is just one year away, not to mention all state legislative seats, We, the Oregon Area Progressives (OAP), will be working with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW), to elect Democrats. We are looking ahead, and reconnecting with people who have volunteered in the past. 


We're hopeful that you will be involved again to help ensure a solid re-election victory for President Joe Biden & VP Kamala Harris, US Senator Tammy Baldwin, and our Democratic reps in the State Legislature.

Volunteer Opportunities
Research has shown that voters respond best to people they know when making decisions about voting. We call this relational organizing. Next most effective are conversations at the doors with voters (canvassing). These are followed by phone calls, texting and postcards to voters. OAP will be engaged in all of these activities.

Data shows that the best way to influence voters is through direct contact.  So, we’re always looking for volunteers to knock doors and make calls. However, there’s much work to be done and OAP can use your help in a number of other ways as well.
