A widowed mother doing the best she can to raise her daughter to be a testament to all her deceased father wanted, a top snowboarding legend and a young girl with a free spirit waiting to be set free on the slippery pipes of the world of snowboard competition, a recipe for love or a disastrous wipeout?

Andy rarely has time for herself, but one man has had her attention for while without being demanding of her time. In struts a stranger, at least to Andy, who unleashes her long lost wild child on the slopes and snags a bit of her heart in the process, but Andy has responsibilities, a demanding job and a new client who is like a black widow spider on steroids and she almost gets caught up in a web of commercial machinations, all for a proposal that is too good to be true. But will Andy forget her own moral compass to make life easier for her and her daughter? Will she destroy the budding romance with Paul for a carrot being dangled in her face? Can she live without the man she is pushing away? What of her daughter?

On the Edge by T.S. Krupa is true romance with an extreme sports theme as she takes us down a slope of twists, turns and road blocks that are called “life.” Often sweet, sometimes comical and always entertaining, On the Edge is a tale of loss and rebuilding for the best love triangle ever! A Single mom is always a package deal and a man who travels the world seeking his next great thrill may seem like an unusual match, but behind the scenes, Paul is not the man the world sees. His caring and warmth for both Andy and Hayden Grace feels real, and separate from each other. Hayden Grace lights up every page she “graces” with the exuberance of youth, the excitement of the world growing larger before her very eyes and the wisdom of a girl who knows her mother well. Andy? Loved her, strong, struggling and more concerned about her daughter than her own “social life,” she takes things slow and almost overthinks everything!

My thanks to T. S. Krupa for creating such a wonderful escape from reality and into a world where love can shine through! It is her words that make this tale come to life!

My 5 Star "Tell Me A Story Kind of Story" Review
*spoiler free*

On the Edge is T.S. Krupa's second book, and she has made her way on to my list of favorite authors.

In her debut, Safe & Sound we had a story of shocking loss, wrapped up in an extremely emotional story line. Definitely the epitome of the emotional roller coaster. So I braced myself for another emotional ride.

Instead, I was treated to humor, some funny situations, lot's of emotion, realistic life issues, a teenager who was spot on in her antics, a "love triangle" you can get on board with (definitely not what your thinking), a smexy man who turns everyone's world upside down, all wrapped up in a solid, fantastic flowing story line.

A feel good read. A tell me a story kind of story.

Andy is a young widowed mom raising her 15 yr old daughter on her own. Her entire life is about the well being of her daughter and keeping her on track. And though she has been dating, Andy never quite commits her heart. Her heart still belongs to her husband who was lost in the war but who is present in both their daily lives. You see Stefan left letters and lists behind before going off on his last tour of duty as a "just in case".

Stefan's letters made him very real. He wasn't just a memory, he was very present in both their lives. It was very emotional at times and by chap 4 I was bawling over one of these letters, but it was a really good premise as to why Andy had the rules she did for her daughter.

You can also see through Andy and her hidden "wild child", she had an amazing relationship with her husband. Something any man she meets will have a hard time competing against.

Enter Paul. A retired professional snow boarder/celebrity.

I instantly liked Paul. Carefree, easy going, nice guy. Good friends, and just an all around looking to enjoy life kind of guy.

The perfect balance to Andy.

Was it instalove? Nope, not even close. A nicely budding friendship for these two compounded with Paul including Hayden Grace (i love that name!), in everything he invites Andy too.

And while you get the feeling this is not going to be an easy ride, Andy is a bit stubborn and creates the "love triangle" on her own, the well balanced personalities of these three just makes the story flow and the situations heart warming and realistic.

I definitely cried but I also did a lot of laughing and smiling through the entire read.

Simply put, a well written feel good read!

And pop on over to the blog for what I like to call my nosy guest post. On the Edge was so emotionally realistic in it's simplicity, I just had to know how the author went about building the story. Oh!, and there's a giveaway going on for both the author's stories!

Received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

There’s always the fear of the dreaded "sophomore slump" when an author releases a second novel. Not in this case. T.S. Krupa’s ON THE EDGE absolutely knocks it out of the park. This book is completely engaging and FULL of the feels! There’s romance, humor (all I will say is: “Lick It, drink it, suck it.”), thrills, angst, etc. She manages to capture much of the emotional impact of her first novel, without being repetitive or getting too bogged down in the sad stuff. Unlike SAFE & SOUND, we meet our lovely heroine: single-mom, Andy Parker, long after her husband has passed away. I love the way this author tends to explore other types of relationships, instead of solely focusing on love in the romantic sense.

I normally shy away from sports-themed books because I know NOTHING about them. But don’t let that deter you, this book makes the world of skiing and snowboarding competitions completely approachable.

I have to applaud Krupa for her innate ability to mix realism with high stakes to create a totally engrossing read. Her characters feel well rounded and completely relatable. She writes strong women (even teenagers) who are passionate and clearly don’t need a man to get by. Andy's romance is heated and passionate, but it’s totally earned. There’s no insta-love—insta-attraction, maybe... These characters have to work hard for it and overcome some pretty REAL obstacles.

Congrats on a strong sophomore novel! Can’t wait for number 3!!!

I kindly received On The Edge in exchange of an honest review by the publisher.

I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC of On the Edge to be part of this blog tour.

It has been six years since Stefan, Andrea Parker's husband, got killed in action. Andy is still picking up the pieces and raising their daughter Hayden Grace on her own has been anything but easy. Andy is working hard as a senior marketing associate at Unique Aspects during the week in Boston, on the weekends she works at Mount Sunapee, teaching ski lessons to cover the bills and afford Hayden Graces passion for snowboarding. Hayden Grace is fifteen and an avid snowboarder, who is hoping to win her first national competition, but since the death of her father something seems to be holding her back. After finding a letter from Stefan after his passing seem to give her the confidence she needs to pull off a qualifying run. When Paul Westcott, professional snowboarder, is crosing Haydens and Andys path, they see that letting go of the past could lead them to a much happier future and maybe a little romance along the way too. Will Andy be able to find the happiness she deserves?

What a start of an incredible journey. I have fallen in love with this story, which first brought sadness, then smiles, lots of humour and endless amounts of love. T.S. Krupa writes beautifully. Krupa’s writing is flawless and reads effortlessly. On the Edge is beautifully crafted and the characters are well developed and the plot line addictive. I cared about the characters from the start and was swept up in their problems. People say time is a great healer, well maybe sometimes it takes a little more than time. Love can be found in the strangest of places, and sometimes destined to be. I hope you all take this journey of loss, friendship, love and hope. Thank you for sharing such a well written story which I have enjoyed thoroughly, I am sure it will be a success as many readers enjoy a beautiful story.

I have to be honest about one thing here. On the Edge didn't have the same emotional impact on me as Krupa's first novel, Safe and Sound. Maybe that is the reason why it left slightly dissapointed. Nevertheless I think Krupa is a brilliant writer. She has become one of my favorite authors. Remember this author's name. We shall be hearing a lot more about her!

Widower Andy Parker is trying to move on and remember her husband's wise advice, but with a fifteen year old daughter there are times that she wishes she wasn't alone anymore. Andy has begun dating but there is no spark and with her job duties increasing she is focused on work and her daughter.

When she meets Paul though she finds a friend who is also a professional snowboarder. Paul is sweet and understanding and Andy is beginning to fall hard for the man who is becoming important in her life.

Very good story. I liked that Paul and Andy was not instant the friendship had time to cultivate and became increasingly special. Andy's daughter Hayden Grace was I thought perfectly portrayed as a teenager, her antics were spot on. Look forward to T.S. Krupa's next book.

For me, every book is different whether it’s actually the writing process or how the idea forms and translates into a story. The idea for On the Edge came to me about five years ago in 2010, while I was watching the Winter Olympics. My favorite event is the Men’s and Women’s Half Pipe competition. I have so much appreciation for the risk they take as athletes and the overall excitement I have as a spectator.

As with most sports the Men’s events are always highlighted a little more than the Women’s. It made me wonder what it would be like for a young woman coming up in the sport—how one goes from recreational snowboarding, to breaking into professional snowboarding. I also thought about all the sacrifices these athletes and their families have to make in order to try and accomplish that goal—with no guarantees. In 2010, this was a thought that I jotted down in my journal and moved on from.

Fast forward to 2014… I was aimlessly surfing YouTube and I started watching recent Olympic highlights, when the idea resurfaced. BUT this time I already had one published novel under my belt and I was confident I could do it again.

Three things had to come together for On the Edge to become a story. First, unlike Safe & Sound, this novel would take some research because I didn’t know much about snowboarding. I snowboarded recreationally, but I’m not very good. I did the majority of my research online—I read many tutorials, learned about snowboarding schools, studied competition schedules, and watched a lot of snowboarding videos. That only took me so far—so next I reached out to several professional snowboarders in order to properly fact check what I had learned and what I was thinking of using for my characters. I was very fortunate to connect with Hana Beaman (https://www.facebook.com/hanabeamansn...). We emailed and eventually talked on the phone. She was able to answer the more technical questions—any mistakes in the book are my own! This process really shaped Hayden Grace Parker—her goals, her ambitions, and her journey. Once I felt satisfied with the research, I began writing. I knew I didn’t want the story to be too technically focused on snowboarding, because it wouldn’t be relatable to everyone. I simply wanted readers to know just enough to understand the sport, which would allow them to be transported into that world with Hayden Grace.

Secondly, I wished to explore the perspective of the single parent with a gifted/talented child. I had watched many friends and family members raise their own families. Eventually, there comes a time when they fall into a routine: school, work, home, and repeat. I gathered inspiration from them and started to shape Andy Parker. I wanted Andy to be a strong woman, but not perfect—for the reader to experience and truly understand her challenges and strengths. It was also important for Andy’s late husband, Stephan Parker, to be a serviceman for two reasons. My own father served in the Army and then the National Guard, until he retired. His service defined who I was as a person, who my family was, and our values. It fit with the story I wanted to tell. But even more importantly, I wanted to highlight the sacrifices these men and women make daily for our country, which are ENORMOUS—I wanted to celebrate that.

Finally, let’s talk about Paul Westcott. His character is part professional snowboarder, part celebrity, and entirely fictional. Paul comes into the story without much baggage, which allows him to serve as a good balance for Andy. He was so much fun to write because he was carefree, relaxed and “chill.” Until he met Andy, he had conquered everything in life. He never anticipated his greatest challenge would be love.

On the Edge is the story of single mother Andy Parker, who is caught up in the day-to-day hustle and bustle of life—who has forgotten about love, romance and adventure. Hayden Grace Parker is a determined, often feisty teenager on a mission. Paul Westcott is the change that challenges and ignites them. It’s an adventure in life and romance.

Happy Reading!

With Love,

PEPPER'S REVIEW

OMG! This book was so good. Completely different feel than what we normally read and review here at ALL ROMANCE REVIEWS - which was a very nice change of scenery.

When I say "different" I mean, this book is SO SO much more than romance and sex. The relationships that T.S. Krupa developed in this story are phenomenal. There's the bond between mother and daughter, the bitter-sweetness of living with a life after death, and the companionship of a new found love. It's insane how much was packed into this book. And the writing - OMG - the writing.OK, so Hayden Grace (I'm just gonna go ahead and call her HG as I did whilst reading). She made this whole book for me. She's the 15 year old daughter that I absolutely loved. I work with this age group IRL, and I just felt so connected to her from the beginning. And with all that said, I have Andy & Stefan (her parents) to thank. I'll never leave my stance that a good kid comes from kick ass parents. And I'll just use this time to plug my all time favorite parents - The Fockers...

Andy and HG have an incredible relationship. It reminded me of mine with my mom. Andy worked her ass off to give HG everything she needed and wanted - especially in regard to what made HG feel alive the most, snowboarding. What I loved about HG was that she genuinely appreciated it. You could feel such love and admiration from both females in this book.

And Stefan. Although he had passed away 6 years earlier during military service, TSK kept his love very much alive for Andy and HG. I'm not going to go into how, because I feel like you should read to get the full experience. It was just really beautiful how this relationship was written. It wasn't like Andy and HG weren't trying to move on with life or just sitting at home waiting for Stefan to walk through the door, because they were living their lives after Stefan's death. I just really appreciated that TSK made this situation what it was - REAL. And it was beautifully written.

And then there's Paul. The saving grace to Andy's heart. So first I must say that unfortunately I can imagine having a life of beauty and having it torn away by death. It sucks because it never goes back, no matter how hard you try to make it the same. And what Paul did for Andy was incredible. He gave her something different. And although it was different, it was a really GOOD different. Because obviously you can't replace a life after death. And I think that's where people have a hard time coping. You just want that life back. But I loved how Andy accepted the different and let Paul help heal her. He was perfection. He didn't get in the way of Andy and HG's relationship, but rather added to it. Me, whenever Paul was around:

I really loved this book. It was very deep and made me reflect on my own life. I completely connected with Andy and HG from the very beginning. If you are in need of a valuable story to add to your life, get this book. It truly was a beautiful story.

Life brings surprises in all forms, shapes and most of them come when you least expect them. Love, family, dreams and hard work are a combo ready to create a great story and that's what we got when we read On the Edge.

Andy Parker is a supportive mother willing to help his daughter to succeed as a snowboarder, who juggles two jobs to support the costs that come with it and who happen to be a widow on her mid-thirty. Of course none of this makes Andy a weak woman; on the contrary she is a fierce mother, strong, supportive, loving and honest. Her comfortable and uneventful life is thrown out of its way when her daughter starts to accomplish big hits as a snowboarder and love comes knocking on her door.

On The Edge is more than a simple love story. For me is a story about a woman who makes her daughter and her dreams a priority without neglecting herself. She is still a young woman who deserves happiness and love. It's about being true to yourself and your beliefs. And above all it's about taking risks if happiness is what you want.

Andy is a great character. The author has the gift to create characters that sound human and real, you can relate to her and every emotion she goes through. Hayden Grace was also a really good character, she is a nice girl, devoted to her dream and really cool and relaxed. And the only thing I will say about Paul is: dreamy. He was a perfect addition for the story.

I love how the author and the characters handled the father's death. Andy and Hayden Grace talk about him without idolizing him or creating weird situations for the rest. He was there for them without being physically present but they could move on and live without regrets.

Snow and sports are a big element of this story and for someone who has never seen the snow or has practiced ski or any other sport related to it, I have to say that the author descriptions of the different places and the events was extraordinary. It was easy to imagine each jump or trick done in the pipe.

On The Edge has an excellent writing style¸ flawless and easy to read. The story flows naturally and it goes by fast.

If romance is a genre you enjoy you should try this one. You have great characters, beautiful scenarios and very entertaining dialogues.

This one is another great book by the lovely T.S. Krupa.

On The Edge is a beautifully written and completely absorbing story that readers will find difficult to put down.

Andrea (Andy) Parker's husband, Stefan, was killed in action six years ago and raising their daughter on her own has been anything but easy. Hayden Grace is now fifteen and an avid snowboarder, who is hoping to win her first national competition, but since the death of her father something seems to be holding her back. An encouraging letter, written before Stefan's death, and some of his military patches hidden inside her jacket seem to give her the confidence she needs to pull off a qualifying run. This big win opens a whole new world to the Parker ladies, changing life as they know it forever.

Andy, who's absolutely NOT looking for a relationship after her last dating fiasco and is more focused on helping Hayden Grace further her snowboarding career, is swept away by a chance meeting with a handsome snowboarder, who just happens to be world famous. She could get lost in his amazing blue eyes and the way he makes her feel is something she hasn't experienced since Stefan. But, what will Hayden Grace think of her mom's budding relationship? Is Paul too good to be true?

On The Edge is a wonderful story with intriguing characters that one can't help becoming attached to. The love that Andy and Hayden Grace carry for Stefan is powerful and his presence among the stars gets them through many tough times. When Paul enters their lives, he brings a certain feeling of comfort and familiarity that both Andy and Hayden Grace are drawn to. Andy and Paul's romance made me smile and warmed my heart. Paul's ability to include Hayden Grace made me like him even more. On The Edge is a well-crafted solid read that I hoped wouldn't end.

I highly recommend picking up a copy.

To preface my review, I do not give 5 stars lightly - Harry Potter, Some Jodi Picoult books, and others. When I enjoy a book, it's a 4 star in general. This book EARNED 5 stars from me due to its engaging nature, deliberate characters, and good story line. I haven't been able to read a book in less than a month since having a child over 4 years ago. I read this in 2 days, finding as many chances as possible to keep it going. I laughed a lot and teared up a little. I love that the teen in this book is not the spoiled, sarcastic teen with typical teenage angst. I love that her mom, Andy, takes a thoughtful parenting approach despite her stressors in life. More importantly, I love the decisions they were making. My only complaint about the characters is, I wish Andy, the mom, would have said what she was thinking so many times. But thus, she held her breath, and said what needed to be thoughtfully said; I just wish she had caused a few jaws to drop with her real thoughts :). I was upset that the book ended (at page 318) as I wanted to see how certain aspects played out (not wanting to give out spoilers here).
Kudos are in order for this author as well... notice at the front of the book - there is NO PUBLISHER listed. This appears to be a grassroots operation for this author to publish her own book. That takes a lot of gumption and courage, in my opinion.
Overall, great read. A great 2nd book by a 1st time author who has many more stories to tell I'm sure.

T.S. Krupa once again delivers a gripping novel that I couldn't stop reading. Once I started the book I just didn't want to stop, I finished it in just a couple hours. The book itself is engrossing and even though it has something I know little about (snowboarding) as a main part of the story everything is explained just enough that you can enjoy the sport without being bogged down with information.

I couldn't help but adore Hayden Grace and Andy...they had such a cute relationship throughout the book. Of course they had their mother daughter spats but overall they had a pretty inspiring relationship.

The romance in the book is pretty perfect- the relationship between Paul and Andy starts out as part of her job and quickly evolves into a friendship that is entertaining to watch. Their romance blossoms through chance meetings at snowboarding events that her daughter is apart of, and he often judges. You can't help but love Paul when he's with Andy, he's fun, thoughtful and quite the charmer.

T.S. Krupa has a way with words once again in On The Edge; every sentence flows so perfectly into the next that you can't stop yourself from reading the next line, and then the next line.

Beautiful!

On the Edge shows us the life of Andy Parker, a single- determined mom, who is trying to do whats best for her and her daughter. She takes us through the hardships of raising an expiring athlete and juggling a career while making sacrifices in order to provide whats best for her daughter, Hayden, and her dreams. Then in the midst of their busy lives, the unexpected happens, and Andy finds new love after the devastating loss of her husband. Together, the three of them create a binding relationship through an amazing journey of passion, a passion for her daughter, a passion through skiing, a passion of finding yourself, and a passion in finding love once more.

T.S Krupa shows her fun side by re-mixing the chemistry needed for the typical romance novel. I recommend On the Edge to anyone ranging from your sports enthusiast to those who have lost and are starting over.

Thanks for the great read T.S. Krupa. Can't wait to see what Book 3 will bring our way!!

On The Edge is a really fresh, entertaining novel about a widowed mother and her daughter faced with a genuinely life-changing opportunity. From the first chapter, it’s easy to tell that Andy Parker is very over-protective of her daughter Hayden Grace – checking her messages, not allowing her to have her phone in her room at night or to stay at home on her own. Soon we see that Andy’s heart is in the right place, she’s actually just following the wishes of her husband Stefan who passed away six years ago. There’s a lovely bond between Andy and Hayden Grace and though things aren’t easy without Stefan, they are both getting on with their lives. Andy is dating a little – though not very successfully - and Hayden Grace is busy training and practising her snowboarding but when life introduces them both to professional snowboarder Paul Westcott, they see that maybe letting go and living a little could lead them to a much happier future and maybe a little romance along the way.

To me this story could have been written in two different ways – from the perspective of Andy (like it was) or it could have been told as Hayden Grace’s story, which is credit to how well the author developed her character. Andy’s daughter had a lot about her. She was very talented and passionate about snowboarding but she was very realistic for her young age too since it was acknowledged there was room for improvement in her ability and more importantly, she needed that bit of confidence to really push herself to compete to the best of her ability. Hayden Grace misses her dad and wants to know that he would be proud of her snowboarding performance but sometimes she struggles because he’s no longer around to tell her that. I liked seeing her character mature throughout this book but I was glad she was only growing up in some aspects because what made her easy to connect with, for me, was how I could identify with some of her teenage traits. Most teenagers are quite capable of being stroppy and sulking when things aren’t going the way they want them to (I can relate even though I’m not one to admit it…!). Hayden Grace has already had to face some of the harsh realities growing up like the day her dad didn’t come home and in this book she is tested by her friendships and her career prospects, but I loved the way she approached her life.

I was a bit apprehensive about the amount of skiing and snowboarding content in On The Edge, since I don’t actually know anything about either sport. But that was never a problem because the author writes about them both in an accessible way, teaching the reader a little and making the sport interesting and readable without it taking over. I loved the bits of guidance Hayden Grace was given throughout the story because it was easy for me to pick up on the advice and see for myself how well she was doing and then I could follow the story better without feeling like I was reading a how-to guide. Also, there was a lot more than just sport to this beautifully written, captivating novel. The Parker’s are a strong little family and it was easy to be there cheering them on and wanting the best for them. T.S. Krupa writes well about the challenges of growing up, having aspirations and falling in love and On The Edge quickly became a book difficult to put down as I sought out that happy ending for Andy and Hayden Grace.

During the six years since Stefan Parker, Andy’s husband, died saving someone’s life during his third tour in the army Andy has worked hard, bringing up her daughter and commuting the two hours, back and forth, into Boston for her job in a marketing firm, which is about to get even more challenging. Andy is also a skier and backcountry guide at Mount Sunapee, where Hayden Grace is coached.

Hayden Grace has always been passionate about snowboarding and is dedicated to the sport but her concentration and passion has faltered since her father’s death. She misses him badly and the knowledge that he isn’t there anymore is holding her back.

Andy decides to give Hayden Grace one of the ‘just in case’ letters her father left for each of the big milestones in his daughter’s life, along with a couple of his military patches which she sews into Hayden Grace’s ski jacket. The letter and patches give Hayden Grace a much-needed boost which takes her through a qualifying run, which enables her to compete in a prestigious national competition in Aspen.

A chance encounter in the backcountry with a very well-known, and handsome, snowboarder brings inspiration for Hayden Grace, and for Andy the tantalising possibility of romance. The opportunity of another job, which would necessitate a move, heralds a big change in both Andy’s and Hayden Grace’s lives.

Andy is a single mother doing the absolute best she can for her daughter. They’re both struggling with missing Stefan but there’s a strong bond between them and together they are moving on and living their lives. Hayden Grace is a typical teenager who can be argumentative and grumpy and it’s good to see her character evolve as the story progresses.

I was a little unsure about the snowboarding and skiing theme as I know next to nothing about either sport. But TS Krupa’s approach makes them understandable enough for the story, but not too overwhelming.

On The Edge deals with loss, new beginnings, endurance and acceptance. I love the intention and thought behind the milestone letters Stefan left for Hayden Grace and the relationship between mother and daughter. Essentially there have only been the two of them since Stefan died, and to allow another important relationship into their lives means they both have to make adjustments in order to find happiness.

Andy Parker lost her husband to the war six years ago. She is now a single mom to a 15 year old daughter named Hayden Grace. Hayden Grace dreams of becoming a professional snowboarder and Andy is prepared to sacrifice anything to make her daughters dreams come true. Andy teaches ski lessons but also is in marketing and she does her best to juggle Haden Grace's schedule with her crazy one of working, dating and making every single competition her daughter competes in.

The relationship that Andy shares with her daughter is heartwarming and refreshing. They seem to work well together, ignoring the occasional disagreement where Hayden ignores Andy for hours at a time. Just your typical teenage girl. Andy isn't easy on Hayden Grace. Her husband left a set of rules that he thought Hayden Grace to follow and Andy has done her best to raise Hayden Grace the way her husband would have. Sometimes the rules don't make much sense to Hayden, but for the most part she follows them to the tee.

Hayden Grace is now in a big snow boarding competition in Aspen, and Andy ends up meeting Paul yet again a famous snow boarding competitor and falls hard. Now she isn't sure what is real and what isn't. She isn't sure if the job offer she got from a prominent figure in the clothing world is a good idea and she has a lot of decisions to make in a short time frame.

I just adored this book. I felt the mother/daughter relationship was done perfectly and it really made me think about the relationship I share with my daughter. This novel is beautifully written with the perfect combination of family issues and romance. Andy Parker is a great protagonist to read about because she is flawed. She messes up. She could be anyone of us and that makes this story all the better. Hayden Grace starts off as a typical 15 year old girl but quickly surprises you with her intelligence and responsibility.

This is T.S Krupa's second novel and I hope we will be reading many more novels from her with the same emotional connections achieved in this one.

I sped down the slopes with this wonderful novel. Krupa's writing is casual but insightful. The humor is on-point, never too over-the-top, and the characters are all well-developed. I'm not one for mother-daughter stories but Andy and Hayden Grace have such a special story. I love that Hayden Grace is a well-rounded teenager. So many authors discount young characters and make them one-dimensional but Krupa did a fantastic job with her. As a sports fan, I also loved the descriptions of the tricks and the competitions. It wasn't daunting for someone who knows nothing of winter sports (like me) and the scenery of the mountains was gorgeous to read about.

All in all, a very enjoyable and tender story.

Note: I received a free hard-copy of this novel via the GoodReads First Reads program in exchange for an honest review. I would like to thank them and the author for the opportunity to do so.

This was a nice story about a mother's love. Andy was a mom that worried, especially when her daughter was a skier that wanted to beat the competition. Hayden pushes herself, and does not always land on her feet. A chance encounter brings Andy and Paul together, however are either ready for a relationship? Paul has his own problems, and Andy is way too busy juggling her job and being a mom. However there may be a way that these three people can find a way to work it all out. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own,

TS Krupa does such an amazing job of drawing me into her stories, and always leaving me wanting to know what happens next! Her characters are approachable, but complex. I am left at the end of the story wanting to know what happens next in their lives!

On the Edge
Written by: T. S. Krupa

What a wonderful story this was. I had no idea what to expect and I know nothing about snow boarding, but the blurb drew me in, as did the story, as I read deeper into this story.

Andy Parker and her 15 year old daughter Hayden Grace have been navigating life as a mom and daughter who are still feeling the effects of losing the most important person in their life, Stefan. Even with two adults and raising a child is one thing but having to adapt and learn to move on is not always easy. Andy for the most part has made this work but Hayden Grace is getting older and her dreams of competing in the Olympics might not be as far away as Andy had thought. As the competitive season is beginning and work for Andy is getting more demanding, there will be changes coming for both Andy and Hayden Grace.

On The Edge also gives readers an eye view into a mother and daughter relationship that is strong but also changing as Hayden Grace is now 15 and competing at a higher level.

From jobs, travelling to competitive events, a first crush and a possible new love for Andy, it’s time for both of them to take that step and move on from what was comfortable to new adventures in all areas of their lives.

This novel is emotional, touching and uplifting. Krupa has given us a strong story of a mother/daughter bond that will allow them to conquer any obstacles that come their way.

An excellent story. Andy is a single mom whose life revolves around her daughter, Hayden Grace. Hayden Grace's world is snowboarding. Enter PW, " Its Paul" , and life takes many interesting turns. This novel is about, moving on, taking risks, being yourself, and enjoying what you do. 5 stars I recommend this novel to everyone.

Unfortunately, children do not come with a set of instructions. Parents want the best for their children under any circumstance. Children are a woven creation from both of their parents. The love a parent has for their child is unconditional. In On the Edge, the main character Andy is no exception. She's a widow and she's raising a teenage daughter on her own. This proves to be a heartwarming journey intertwined with heartbreaks and accomplishments.

Hayden Grace is Andy's 15-year-old daughter. She's a rising snowboard professional, who struggles emotionally with peer pressure, the loss of her father and a commitment to her snowboarding career. Andy is a strict single parent. She won't let Hayden Grace stay home alone and she monitors messages on Hayden Grace's phone. These rules cause Hayden Grace to become rebellious and she's soon neglecting her snowboarding activities.

Andy faces the challenge of keeping her daughter motivated. Her late husband wrote letters to Hayden Grace for Andy to give her when she reached each milestone in her life. He also let Andy know how he'd like her to discipline their daughter. He wrote these letters before he left for the military in case he didn't return home. He wanted Andy and Hayden Grace to know he would always be with them. All they'd need to do was look up at the stars at night and he would shine down on them.

Andy struggles with juggling her career as a ski instructor along with her social life. She made the decision to focus on Hayden Grace rather than dating, but while keeping Hayden Grace focused on snowboarding Andy meets a handsome professional snowboarder.

The character of Andy is so well developed I found I could easily relate to her. As a mother myself, I could feel her emotions. Together, Andy and Hayden Grace build a strong mother-daughter bond. On the Edge is an engaging read!

My favorite part of On The Edge was the main character, Andy Parker. The sacrifices that she makes as a mother for her child - at first one feels that Andy is not a strong character and gets pushed around too easily but you soon realize that being a single parent she has come to pick her battles and what is most important to her and her daughter and she protects that fiercely.

While a romance, On the Edge has a strong female voice which doesn't get lost throughout the story. On the Edge was easy to follow and a quick read, so much so that I reached the end too quickly and was left wanting more. I highly recommend this story - it's filled with love, adventure and family relationships.
