Transforming Lives Through Education
One Step At A Time

Sustainable and effective change needs two key ingredients, a purpose of why we are serving others and taking one step at a time to get closer to realizing that purpose, every day!

Without a doubt, taking that first step can be daunting or even intimidating.  How often do you struggle to kick start of something you are so passionate about?  How many of your life projects are stuck at the ideation stage?

We all know that working towards a longer term and broadly expressed vision without knowing exactly all the particular steps can be overwhelming.   However, we also recognize that nothing will change if we keep going the same way as we have always been.

In this newsletter, our team is bringing you some exciting news as PeopleStories is taking its first step as the chosen charity by Oliver Wyman (SG), woohoo!   Our local Khmer teacher Sarit is also giving you insights into the learning world in the villages during school closures (and without internet!).   Finally, I sincerely hope you will be inspired by the story of Bok Hoon’s grandpa and how he took his steps towards self-learning.

I'd love to hear about the one thing that gets you out of bed with passion, positivity and joy.  How can you take that one step at a time and walk towards your purpose, your vision?

Stay safe and be well!

With gratitude,

We are so excited!  We have to start straight away with the punch line: PeopleStories has been chosen by the employees of Oliver Wyman (Singapore) as their charity to support!  Woohoo!  We are so incredibly humbled and proud to announce this achievement.

Learning Offline… Literally!

Schools and students have been affected particularly hard in rural Cambodia. Teacher Sarit shares with us some of the insights what school closures mean in reality and how teachers try their best to recover from COVID19 disruption in an environment without access to internet.

Learning To Serve

What motivates someone to donate their time and skills when everyone is so busy leading their lives?   We are proud to welcome Bok Hoon to the PeopleStories team and she shares her, very personal, story exploring motivation to serve a purpose, going back in time to her grandfather.
