OBJECTIVES:
This learning intervention aims to accomplish the following immediate objective:
Build the capacity of the DICT in procurement and related activities
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
DICT fulfills its mandates through the roll-out of big ticket projects. As such, DICT must strengthen its capabilities in planning and procuring its projects. It must immediately have better processes and improved competencies in the area of national budget planning, procurement, and other arrangements in order to cope with the annual and multi-year responsibilities of delivering its mandates, without fear of adverse audit observations and notice of disallowances, and ultimately accomplishing more along the way.
In this Procurement Learning Package, we will endeavor to apply learnings by co-creating the DICT Procurement Manual and thus sessions for the following topics shall be undertaken:
- DICT Procurement Manual: Volume I – Systems and Organizations
- DICT Procurement Manual: Volume II – Infrastructure
- DICT Procurement Manual: Volume III – Consulting Services
- DICT Procurement Manual: Volume IV – Goods
After attending this learning activity, you will have armed yourself with common understanding of the procurement process that is customized to the needs of the DICT.
