Don’t fall for your enemy…especially when he’s your new roommate.

Dean Evans is the worst.
Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door.
I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator.
Every single morning.
It’s exhausting because he’s exhausting.

Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he’s my roommate…and he’s the worst at that too.

I don’t know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps?
I do know that I won’t be falling for his charm.
Or that panty-dropping smirk.
His quick wit.
That body he works so hard for.

Nope. Not falling for any of it…least of all him.

There might be a fine line between love and hate, but I know exactly where I stand.

Enemies to lovers, neighbors to roommate romance with pets!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💛💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤

The setting: Apartment building, local diner, clothing store.

The Hero(s): Dean Evans – a school teacher, owns a turtle named Leo, his parents won the lottery when he was young. He lives in the apartment next door to the heroine. They hate each other. He hates her because she is antagonistic and has reported him to the building manager for playing music too loud.

The heroine: River White – the owner of a clothing store, she loves Cherry pie and Dean always somehow gets the last piece every Sunday at her favorite diner where she meets her best friend. So she is stuck eating some other kind of pie. Plus he plays the same song every morning too loud. Those are just a few reasons she hates Dean.

The Love Story:Dean and River end up sharing her apartment and the fact that they are attracted to each other becomes apparent pretty quickly. They both have terrible dating track records.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow burn hate to love romance but once they both realized the attraction, the fire took off and the book became quite steamy. I loved the fact that Dean has an emotional support turtle named Leo that he brings with him just about everywhere. I have read a few of Teagan Hunter’s books in the past and she is great at using odd animals to enhance world building and character development. The baby goats in the texting series were awesome.

River and Dean were a cute couple, the way they bicker at each other so much makes it obvious that they are just covering up their attraction to each other. I also loved the humor in this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Teagan Hunter always writes the most hilarious, feel good romantic comedies. Loathe Thy Neighborwas no exception.

Dean Evans is River’s next door neighbor and he’s the worst neighbor ever. He play this annoying music too loud, steals her cherry pie at the diner they both frequent, and overall just gets on her last nerve.
“You’re a pain in my ass. Loud and obnoxious. The world’s worst neighbor.”

She’s also very attracted to him. When Dean’s place goes up in flames (literally) she does the right thing and lets him stay with her for a bit. This doesn’t go the way River expects. She never expects to start to fall for Dean.

Dean and River both see each other in a new light when they’re living together. I loved watching them fall for one another. I also loved the banter between them. This made me laugh out loud more than once. Also, any book with cute animals is a win for me. I especially loved River’s cat, Morris.

Overall, this was a fun, cute, and steamy read that left me with a smile on my face. If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers and like romantic comedies, I highly recommend it!

Without beating around the bush, I'm gonna say that this book was good, but not good enough because I didn't love some aspects of it and they are as follows.

A) The starting of the book was unique. The storyline begins with a unusual take on the neighbor romance trope where the neighbor ends up as the roommate. This turn of events excited me as I've never read any book with such a take on the cliche neighbor romance trope. But somewhere along the middle, the plot lost its uniqueness, which that initially drew me in, and became just another roommate romance.

B) The heroin and hero could be very annoying at times. There was no valid reason or cause of their hatred towards each. They would just start fights for no apparent reason which seemed petty and annoyed me, decreasing my interest in the book.

C) Lastly, the occurrence that was supposed to be the major plot twist was just not dramatic and engaging enough to be a climax. So, it felt like this book did not have any climax which the reader would anticipate.

My final thoughts would be that if you are looking for a light-hearted rom-com, pick this book up as it was good but not great.

Once again Teagan Hunter proves why she is one of my favorite authors! She’s writes feel-good, laugh-out-loud stories that genuinely make me happy better than anyone I know.

This story was exactly what I wanted and needed. It was light, it was fun, and made me smile and laugh so hard that I felt like my face was permanently stuck in happy mode the entire book. River and Dean are absolutely perfect! Their chemistry, their banter, their love/hate relationship. The hilarious one liners and back and forth had me literally smiling like a loon.

I truly loved River and Dean. It was such a fun progression from annoying neighbors, to “friends”, to so much more. It was clear as day that as much as they tried to deny their feelings, the chemistry was more than a simple lust. Watching them progress and slowly start to realize it was more was so much fun. They both have such polar opposite personalities, but they just click so well. It was entertaining to watch unfold.

I didn’t want this story to end! It was just one of those stories that completely wraps you up and doesn’t let you go. I never wanted to leave the cloud nine I was on.

And I have to give a special shoutout to Leo...damn I loved that little guy, and Dean’s relationship with him.

A total MUST READ in my book!

Teagan Hunter has yet again managed to create a world that pulls you in immediately full of everyday people that make them feel incredibly real. It was like meeting someone a on the street yet feeling a sense of comfort as if you had known them forever. I was excited about this series as soon as I found out about it but after spending my day wrapped up in the Roommate Romps world, I’m addicted

Dean and River were a masterful enemies to lovers that threw wicked barbs at each other with longing lusty looks in between their banter was highly entertaining they made me laugh, giggle and snort laugh. Their chemistry was abundantly clear in the very first pages and the build up to the moment they finally gave into each other was nothing short of explosive. I loved all the people in their apartment building it was like it’s very own quirky small town where everyone knows everyone’s business.

Loathe Thy Neighbor was a remarkable introduction to the Roommate Romps series the perfect blend of witty banter, laughs, feels and steam in addition the intriguing and lovable secondary characters that I’m already looking forward to reading about.

4.5 🌟’s.

This was a fun start to a new series by Teagan Hunter. As the title states, River and Dean are neighbors and due to a little mishap, become roomies. The thing is, they hate each other with a passion - or is it passion of another kind for lust, and their whole interactions is some form of foreplay? All the residents at their apartment block know it, their friends know it but they can’t see what’s under their noses. They seem to enjoy giving each other as much as they can with one liners or sarcastic banter, which is a little exhausting at times, but leads to some hot and heavy make out sessions. Once they gave in, and set the rules, we got to see a softer side from both of them, and that I loved. It’s a quick read, and can be read in a day if you’re hooked like I was. Not only on the main characters, but the secondary’s are fabulous too. I know there are four books in the series so I’m fascinated to know who is up next. I also hope we get more from Dean and River, as I don’t want to say goodbye to them just yet.

You GUYSSSSS!!

Ever since Dean moved in next door to River, she hated him. He would steal her pie, play his music too loud... And she would see him every where. But when Dean's apartment catches fire, River must take pity on him because she agrees to let him be her roommate. If she thought he was bad before, now they are in close quarters together. River loathes him so falling for his charm isn't going to happen. Or his smirk, quick wit, and body... Their may be a fine line between love and hate but River knows exactly where she stands.

So it's no surprise I fell in love with this book! I mean, enemies to lovers, roommate romcom? Yes please! The banter was fun, and the tension between these characters was off the charts. It was fun, funny, and then some. I loved all the supernatural references! And loved these two characters. They were fun and quirky, sassy and smart mouthed and flirty. This book was amazing and just what I needed to destress as my daughter starts school. Teagan knows how to bring the banter between her characters to life and I always enjoy reading her stories! So if you love enemies to lovers, roommate romances and romcoms then this is the book for you! 4.5 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

Loathe Thy Neighbor is the first book in the new Room Mate Romps series and follows Dean & River. It is a loathe/dislike to lovers, neighbors turned roommates rom com.

This story was such quick, easy and light read. It was low angst and low drama with a few laugh out loud moments. Dean & River had some sassy moments, sweet moments, steamy moments and were a whole lot of fun.

The book started off really well and I was thoroughly enjoying it, it started to slow down a bit for me in the middle and the ending conflict/resolution happened a litle too fast. I did enjoy this book but wanted just a little more from it but it was a great start to this new series and I can't wait for the rest of the books.

& yes to turtles and their emotional support humans 😍😍❤

Teagan Hunter is a one-click author for me, I don’t need to read the blurb, or see a cover to know that I’m going to love the story and ‘Loathe Thy Neighbor’ was no exception. Hands down, I think this is my favorite Teagan book to date!

River and Dean are freaking hysterical, their back and forth is what rom-com dreams are made of. They truly walk that super fine line between love and hate and I am here for it! From page one to the very end the laugh out loud moments were endless, but also the super sweet moments as well. The chemistry between River and Dean was absolute fire, and watching them try and deny it was hilarious. Watching River and Dean go from ‘enemies’ to ‘friends’ was so much fun to read, and they truly are the definition of opposites attract, but they really do complement each other in the best possible ways.

Let us not forget about the secondary characters who only add to the story, Leo and Morris may not be humans but I can’t imagine the story without them. I am so ready for more books in this series, because this one was perfection, and if the other stories are about who I'm hoping they are, this is going to be an EPIC series!

"Did you ever stop to think that the reason is you?"
"No. I’m a fucking angel."

⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

And she’s back you guys, Teagan Hunter is here with a new book series and it’s about to become your new obsession. All of Teagan’s book has been pretty much my comfort series, she adds funny, hot and angsty moments so beautifully together in her own unique way. And this book wasn’t the exception, i got my witty banter, i got my romance and i might dare to say that this has been the author’s hottest book….

PLOT: So the story follows River White and Dean Evans, they have been neighbors and nemesis since the moment they met. Dean is an English teacher and proud owner of an emotional support turtle named Leo while River is a clothing store owner and cherry pie enthusiast. One day River has enough with Dean’s loud music while she’s trying to relax, so she decides to do something about it, causing a fire wasn’t what she had in mind thought. Now feeling sorry for her neighbor slash rival she offers him her apartment…..is this new roommate situation about to change everything between them?

Coming to Kindle Unlimited September 17th !!!!

CHARACTERS: Once again falling in love with Teagan’s characters even the side ones. River was so funny, she is a hardworking woman, she puts work over everything, she has some troubles in the dating world and her neighbor doesn’t make it easier for her. Dean was hilarious, he has the cool teacher vibe going on, and he loves making fun of River. Both of them individually are such soft likeable characters, you can see how much they care about the surrounding people even if the two of them kind of hate each other at the beginning.

ROMANCE: I’m just going to say that this is the author’s hottest book for a reason. Seeing them «hating» each other while building all this sexual tension was everything to me. The thing with rivals to lovers is that most of the time the characters are just two idiots hiding their true feelings for each other and in this case River and Dean were fighting and bickering non-stop but to the readers and their friends looked like these two people were flirting and were also super into each other. This is a slow burn romance, you will see the characters forming an alliance ship before they start tolerating each other and eventually turn this romance into something with no labels.

OVERALL:Enjoyed this book so much, I didn’t expect something less from Hunter. Truly loved the humor in this book and the banter between River and White was the highlight of it. Also, the world building is a huge part of this book, so we could get introduced to the characters of the next books, and she did it excellently i felt so connected with all of them and for a while i was living in their neighborhood away from the real world.

Can’t wait for the next books, already so obsessed with this fictional world!!! I’m also going to start my Caroline and Cooper campaign because best friends to lovers is for a fact the best trope, and they already own me!!!

dean and river are so funny together and their relationship was very sweet, but i got bored around the halfway mark and didn't feel attached to them or any strong emotions towards their relationship.

but still, it's a very cute romcom and the supporting characters especially morris the cat and leo the turtle were <3

“I don’t want it to mean anything because I hate you too.”
Then, we’re kissing again.

'Loathe Thy Neighbour' is a Standalone Romance by Teagan Hunter. Told in dual Perspectives , get ready to meet Dean and River!!

There is absolutely no love lost between Dean and River. They both are Neighbors , and to say they are even a little bit civil would be a bit of a stretch! River hates the guys next door who plays ridiculous music to destroy her peace. And Dean hates the girl next door who ditches him to the owner just for playing music. Oh , and he also steals her pie , which is the final nail in the coffin. He is officially enemy number 1 for river now.

Web-Photo-Editor If there’s one thing about River I’m certain of— other than her love of pie— it’s her hatred of me. I let my eyes roam over her as she stares at me with a look that says, I’ll kill you, then I’ll help them look for your body.

A fire accident , which ends with Dean burning his whole apartment and nearly the building too, forces him to change places. In a moment of insanity , River offers him a place to stay with her. But rules are set. Beige ground rules that they both have to follow so that they don't end up murdering each other. Or caving into their attraction too. Living with each other forces them to know the other one better and soon they are both falling. Hard.

I loved the chemistry in this book! But nothing could have topped the perfect humour this book has. The banter between River and Dean was absolutely funny and I enjoyed it the most! They both were Spitfires and didn't know how to give up , which led to huge fights and arguments filled with insults that has me laughing so hard!

If you want a classic enemies to lover Romance with a Healthy dosage of laughter , then this book is for you! A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!

Such a devourable read! Light and sexy with the kind of delicious tension that keeps you turning the pages, I loved this one from start to finish. It’s got the sexy and playful feel that I love about Hunter’s rom coms, paired with an “enemies” to lovers vibe that shakes things up a bit. One of my favorite tropes is hate that’s not really hate, and that’s exactly what’s at play here. These two just aren’t sure what to make of each other, and their combustible chemistry has thrown them off-balance. Add in an unexpected roommate situation, and the tension gets ratcheted up a notch. It’s still an easy, quick read, but just the kind of rom com that I love to devour.

The story follows River and Dean, neighbors who have been throwing barbs at one another for the past year. They got off on the wrong foot, and now neither one is exactly sure what to make of the other. Sure, there’s attraction there - but not necessarily the healthy kind. These two bicker like it’s banter, fight like it’s foreplay, and since they live next door to each other, there’s no escaping the feud. When Dean accidentally (almost) burns down his apartment, he’s left without a place to stay… and River doesn’t know what comes over her when she offers up her spare room. Now that these two are living together, they can’t just fight and move on. They’ve got to dig a little deeper, and that uncovers the kind of feelings neither one expects.

I loved it from start to finish. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this new series (the blurb and cover had me thinking this might be heavier), but I should’ve known better. Hunter has always delivered consistently solid reads, and this is no expection. I loved Dean; he doesn’t make this book, but he definitely took it to another level. There’s something so sexy about a hero who is genuinely good but still makes your blood boil. The angst is at a minimum here (despite the heavy dose of tension), and I was rooting for this couple even when they were in denial. Yeah, they’re stupid sometimes, or at least blind to their feelings, but there’s an undercurrent of intimacy throughout the book that elevates the story. If this is the start of a brand new series, then sign me up for the rest. I was lucky enough to receive a free copy (then purchased it for my collection), and am voluntarily leaving a review of this enemies to lovers romance.

She's smashed it yet again!!!!!

I'm a fan of Teagans work, she has a way with RomComs that just work so damn well - and this one did not disappoint!!!

River and her neighbour Dean can't stand each other, to the point where they deliberately rile each other and oh they made me giggle! Dean definitely knows how to wind her up and River definitely has the sass to dish it right back...
She works herself to the bone and when she comes home, she just wants to chill which isn't possible when she lives next to Dean!! Though I have to be honest - I'd gladly put up with whatever if he was my neighbour 🤭

There's a definite connection between them, they're both likable people, I wanted them to get together and I wanted them to work out, I became invested in them and I think that shows the level of awesomeness that Teagan has, that she doesn't just write a book, she tells a story in a world you want to be and with people you want to know!

Top marks Teagan, and I'm seriously excited to read more in this series!!

Absolutely delightful!!! The perfect rom-com to read during this crazy 2020 year. It is the perfect blend of fun and sexy.

River hates her neighbor....no she loathes him. He is the bane of her existence. He plays his music too loud. He is a horrible guitar singer. He carries around a turtle and steals her pie. Ugghhh!!! Why! What did she do to deserve such a horrible, hot...umm awful .....hot...no no mean.....hot neighbor. Hee Hee!

Dean knows his beautiful neighbor loathes him. Does that mean he should be nice to her.....ummm....no! In fact it drives him to irritate her on purpose. How else will he get her to pay attention to him. He does not like her. Absolutely not...she is hot...but absolutely unlikable.

When an accident has these two neighbors spending more time together, they are definitely not prepared for what happens next. Can you say denial?

Overall this book is a fun and entertaining read. The snarky behavior will have you rolling. It is so much fun reading how these two fight such a obvious attraction. All the characters are fun and interesting. They know things the two main characters don't and it is so much fun to read the unravel of the story.

Like with all Teagan's books this one is filled with humor and hot romance. Who doesn't love a romantic comedy with cutesy pets. Which is a big deal in Teagan's books....If you don't know who Marshmellow is then you are not a fan yet and must check out more of her books. You will not regret it. I promise.

This is maybe fourth in line of my favorite Teagan reads. The Texting series is my absolute fav. But this one is no less entertaining. I mean come Leo is definitely the cutest thing you ever saw. Only because he is one of my favorite animals.

So check this read out. It will definitely lift those 2020 blues right up.

I want to find the people that proclaim these books to be hilarious, look them in their eye and tell them to give their heads a damn good wobble and stop bullshitting us.

Romantic comedy (also known as romcom or rom-com) is a subgenre of comedy and slice-of-life fiction, focusing on light-hearted, humorous plot lines centered on romantic ideas, such as how true love is able to surmount most obstacles.

This was not funny. This had no humorous plot lines. This is not a rom-com!

Dean’s an idiot. River is also an idiot, and she's also very annoying.

arc kindly provided in exchange of a review

i’ve been a fan of teagan’s books since i read the text series (which i highly reccomend), so when i saw she was releasing a new series, i was instantly invested. roommate romps is going to be a series of romances about people who live in the same building with lots of cool tropes. the first one, loathe thy neighbor, is obviously the queen of tropes: enemies to lovers!!!

so, i read the book in less than 24 hours. i couldn’t put it down, honestly. river and dean’s dynamic was so funny to read, especially when they were forced to be roommates. i love when enemies to lovers is, in fact, idiots to lovers. and dean… big heart eyes emoji. another man added to my i-wish-you-existed-irl-but-you-don’t-so-my-hopes-are-raised-but-will-never-be-met list. i loved him and i would’ve loved to see more of him as a teacher because it’s refreshing to see the hero being the teacher and the heroine being the business owner. THANKS!

also, big shoutout to Leo. all pets need an owner like dean!!!

funny, steamy, fast-paced and cute!

FAIR TO SAY IT'S BECOME A RITUAL FOR ME TO JUST GIVE ALL MY STARS AWAY TO TEAGAN BEFORE I READ THE BOOK!!

I HAVE NO DOUBT THIS STORY WILL BE PHENOMENAL! I MEAN JUST READ THE TITLE - ROOMMATE ROMPS?! TELL ME THAT DOESN'T SOUND HILARIOUS!!

BE BACK SOON WITH A REVIEW FROM MY ARC! 😁

****

How do I start a review for a book that has left me speechless and in a fit of giggles? Maybe with something like this...

Teagan Hunter lives up to her title of Rom-Com Queen with yet another hilarious book that welcomes me and you into a new world. It has her signature snark but this time with some more fiestiness and list in the mix. It's the book you've been waiting for, and with it being a series first book I have no problem saying this won't be your last!

What can I say about Roommate Romps - Loathe Thy Neighbour? Hmm first of all it lives up to not just it's series title (because damn those romping scenes still make me wide eyed and giddy), but lives up to its book title.

River White hates - no loathes her neighbour Dean Evans. She has a list of asine reasons and well it's easy to see through them. However he does steal her cherry pie and well even I can agree he's the devil for doing it on purpose every single time.

Dean Evans is amazing, swoon worthy, sweet as hell but a total minx towards River but that's only because she is back to him. He doesn't actually seen to understand her hate and well he can't really pinpoint a reason to hate her either but nevertheless they still do.

The banter between them is funny because it's like two kids in the playground. She's totally pulling his pigtails if you get my jist.

Anyway when one day River exceeds her frustration at Dean she storms over and with her telling him off be accidently burns his apartment. River out of her most likely having a secret soft spot for Dean - one she'll never confess to - she lets him stay with her next door.

Oh the torturous nights and days of them rooming together. It makes for so many funny and tension filled scenes that j was clutching my kindle dying to read on for what would happen next.

When things finally started breaking down between them it was so damn good. I can't explain it. The slow burn worked so good and I was a sucker for it all. Dean and River were and are a lovable duo that even when hating you can help laughing and thinking they're cute as hell. I sure did!

This book is beyond spectacular from the banter, to the slow burn, to the tension filled spaces and of course the Supernatural references that had me giggling like a school girl. Biggest one is that Dean Evans - swoon - you are utterly and totally the love child of Jensen Ackles and Dean Winchester and I'm so cool with that.

He's by far one of my favourite hero's from Teagan but I must say River stole the show with this book. She was her best when hating and I loved her obsession with pie, because girl I don't blame you for wanting to fight that dude.

So to end this review, this book should be your next read if you want light, flirty, sexy and Rom-Com hilarious! Teagan hits this series off to an amazing start and well it might just be her best series yet! (Sorry Texting Series but you've got competition!)

Dean and River are enemies, they live next door for a year and are they push eachothers buttons to no end. An unfortunate event makes them roommates and so the fun begins.

This was a fun read, lots of laugh out loud moments, lots of hot scenes, the sexual tension is on point and the dialogue hilarious.

Teagan never fails to provide us all with some comedic relief, and with the way the world is, that is something we all desperately need. But I swear this is her wittiest book yet! I was captivated from the very first page, the whole I hate-you-but-I-secretley-love-you push and pull between Dean and River was EXCELLENT.

Dean and River have been neighbors for some time now, and River hates everything about him: including how she wants to rip off his clothes whenever she sees him. But does she truly hate him? And when circumstances arise and Dean has no choice but to live with River, will their chemistry explode? And what will be left of them when it does?

I'll tell ya: Teagan writes banter like it's foreplay and I am all here for it!! These two are so snarky, yet you can tell the emotional connection they have too. I loved how Dean knew exactly what River needed even before she realized it herself. *all the swoon!*

Our author eloquently set up a new world as well, and I connected to every single side character!! I can't wait for more in the series!!

If you're in the need of an absolutely adorable and truly funny romantic comedy, this is the book for you!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

Arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really enjoyable read. It felt so good to read a romcom after all the mafia, bully and angsty reads I had been reading. It almost felt so surreal and too different to jump back into a book like this again! This was really cute and I love everything Teagan seems to write, she has a gift for romcoms.

I love the whole basis that this series is going to have and I think I already see a hint to the next couple and book, I am so excited for that one!

River as a character annoyed me a little bit in the beginning, but I loved how hardworking she was and that she has her own business. I felt that was so cool to read, it was like another Rose Calloway and any female like her always has my respect!

Dean was so swoony and ugh, I love him - he was so pure and so sexy all rolled into one!

I really liked the love, hate thing they had going on - the sexual chemistry was fizzling from their first interaction and little tiff in the book!

All in all, this was such a good read and everyone should go check it out when it comes out September 15th!

Dean and River are next door neighbors and Dean’s the worst neighbor ever—according to River. He steals her pie, plays his music too loud and just gets under her skin. But when River plays a part in accidentally burning his apartment, River goes against her better judgment and offers her spare bedroom to Dean until his apartment is livable again.

Before he even moves in, River asks herself what could she have been thinking? Dean’s getting under River’s skin as much as ever but now she’s added insane attraction into the mix. And as it turns out, Dean finds River just as irresistible as she is infuriating. So the two of them decide to start hooking up while they’re shacking up. And as soon as Dean moves back to his apartment, their arrangement will be over. Their sexual chemistry is insane and Dean & River can’t keep their hands off each other.

They agreed no strings attached, but when it’s time for Dean to move back home, why is it so hard to end something that never even started?

Loathe Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter is book 1 in the Roommate Romps series. Teagan’s done it again with another fun and sexy romance. She adds her quirky elements into each book: lots of food & some unusual pet. This time it’s cherry pie and an emotional support turtle. River and Dean definitely had the enemies to lovers thing going for them, which made the buildup to their romance that much better. They had a lot of sexual chemistry, which came through in their steamy scenes. I like how others characters that’ll be featured in future books of this series were sprinkled in. I love series that have such an interconnected community. Can’t wait to read the next one! 4/5 stars.

Super fun, quirky and steamy start in a new series by Teagan Hunter!

River and Dean are right next door neighbors, and River is per se annoyed by Dean, and can’t stand him. Might have something to do with the fact, that he usually buys the last cherry pie in the diner along the street which she happens to LOVE as well. 😏 After Dean sets parts of his apartment accidentally on fire, River caves and offers her spare bedroom for him to stay in. Dean likes to annoy River and as a german saying is: 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟

You can totally sense the chemistry and attraction behind it. After the slow burn it gets steeeeamy and they become a nice couple even tho they deny it.

Like I said, funny, quirky and a lot of sassy comebacks this book is a great start into a new series and we met a few people in there, which gives us a hint of what might come in the near future. Can’t wait!!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review!
