The gems showcased in this catalogue are cleaned easily and effectively by applying the following; • place your gemstone in warm water in a bowl with a small squeeze of detergent, a tiny amount of ammonia. • soak the jewellery in this solution for a short time, longer if it’s really dirty. Gently scrub with a toothbrush then swirl back in the solution. • strain and rinse with clean water. To be safe, always ensure the sink plug is engaged. •
ensure the temperature of the rinse water is the same as the solution, so as not to “shock” the gems. finally dab dry with a soft cloth.
