SAGIP COMMUNITY K9 TRAINING
To promote Responsible Pet Ownership in the University of the Philippines Diliman community, the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA) is inviting you to a free dog-training workshop on May 7, 2022 at the Lagoon. UPD SAGIP Search and Rescue K9 Coach Roland Lumbao will teach techniques to modify your dog’s undesirable behavior using clicker training. The dog owners / handlers will learn how to correct excessive barking, separation anxiety, chasing, constant biting, inappropriate elimination, among other things.

We can only accommodate 40 handlers and their dogs so REGISTER NOW and wait for our confirmation.


MECHANICS
1. The dog training will be held at the UP Lagoon on May 7 (Saturday).
2. Registration deadline is on May 4.
3. The training will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Registration will start at 8am. If you come early, your dogs
        will have the chance to socialize with the other dogs.
4. The training can only accommodate 40 owners/handlers and their dogs. It will be on a first-come, first-
        served basis.
5.     An owner/handler can only work with one dog.
6. When you register, please show your ID.
8. Female dogs in heat will not be allowed to train.
9. Aggressive dogs can come but they must be muzzled (busal).
10. All dogs must be vaccinated against rabies. Bring proof of your dog's anti-rabies vaccination. Without proof of Anti-rabies vaccination, your dog will not be allowed to join the training.
11. Handlers must bring poop bags and clean up after their dogs.
12. Participants in the training should wear black t-shirts. It is best for you to wear rubber shoes.
13. Bring drinking water for yourself. Bring water and dish for your dog.
14.  Bring your own clicker. If you don't have one, the cap of a SOLA bottle will do.
15.  A certificate will be given to those who attended both the March 19 and May 7 sessions.
