ARE the Partners that make it Safe Summer Kick Off on Get Outdoors Day!
Southwest Denver Coalition, Denver Parks & Recreation, and My Outdoor
Colorado are joining forces to host Safe Summer Kick-Off Get Outdoors Day (SSKO
GO Day), Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Garfield Lake Park in Southwest Denver from
10 am to 3 pm.
This
FREE, family-friendly event is designed to promote a safe summer, access to
healthy and safe outdoor spaces, supports under-resourced communities and
celebrates nature exploration. We need your active engagement! Please make sure
to read through all Exhibitors information, prior to completing registration.
To
Become an Exhibitor
For
both private and public organizations, participation is a great opportunity for
providers to network with each other and directly connect with and inform
the community of services and resources available to them in a friendly,
positive, safe, and healthy atmosphere.
Is
this event right for my organization?
SSKO
GO Day is a collaborative project with community members, non-profits, local
government, law enforcement, and other Colorado-based partners. We look to
provide an intentional, inclusive, and safe outdoor space to explore adventure
activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, boating, navigation, nature
identification, connection to basic resources, and more.
EXHBITITORS
SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
This
is NOT your typical community fair; sales of any type are not permitted. Please
consider the following guidelines before registering as an exhibitor.
- Provide flyers, brochures, maps, schedules, to connect people with
community resources and outdoor activities.
- Incorporates a hands-on interactive component to your booth like an
activity, a game, etc.
- Before registering, exhibitors planning to provide food
samples must contact us first.

Setup/Tear Down:
Set-Up:
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM (depending on placement, arrival time slots will be
assigned)
Tear Down: 3:00 PM – 5:00PM
Exhibitors
Placement: Exhibitors will be spread out
along the west side of the Park/Lake from W. Arizona Ave. to W. Mississippi
Ave. and S. Oceola St. to S. Newton St. Booth Placement is at the discretion of
the event planners and subject to change to fit the needs of the event.
** No vehicles
are permitted in the park unless approval was given by event SSKO Go Day
planning committee and Denver Parks & Recreation**
Additional
Vendor Details:
- Vendor set up must be limited to a 10ft x10ft space and are
responsible for their own tent, tables and displays.
- Vendors must bring tent weights totaling at least 40lbs.
- Vendors are responsible for their own set up and tear down.
- Vendors must plan to arrive during their assigned load in window
TRASH:
Exhibitors
are responsible for providing a trash receptacle for their booth. There will be
a trash location specified on site to dispose of trash during event and after.
It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to keep booth clean during the event and
leave site as they found it.
REGISTRATION
AND CANCELLATION:

Fees & Deadlines 2024
Exhibitor
fees go toward the shared cost of putting on a large-scale partnership event of
this
scope – trash and recycling services, restrooms, security, and logistical
support. If exhibitor fee is a barrier, please contact us to discuss.
- Early Registration - $50, if you register by
April 12th
- Regular Registration - $75, if you register by
May 10th
- Late Registration - $100, if you register by
May 24th
Registration
for this event closes May 31, 2024 or once the resource fair reaches
capacity.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation with an
invoice within 72 hours of your registration. No refunds will be given due to
cancelation, fees go towards the event expense.
** THE
SAFE SUMMER KICKOFF COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE EXHBITORS AT THEIR
DISCRETION, IF THEY DO NOT ALIGN WITH THE PURPOSE OF THE EVENT. **
