Gŵyl Cychwyn Busnes yr Haf // Summer Start-up Week Festival

It’s festival season and our award-winning start-up course is back!

Whether you’re looking to develop start-up ideas, make it as a freelancer, grow your own business or social enterprise, the Summer Start-up Week Festival has something for everyone.

With events taking place across 4 stages and a festival line-up containing some of the biggest and brightest entrepreneurs in Wales, our 5-day online course will help you nurture, develop and grow your business. You’ll roam the virtual festival grounds taking in a mix of keynote speakers, interactive workshops, panel discussions, live Q&As and much, much more. Across each stage, you’ll have your pick of expert speakers, covering everything from research and marketing to cashflow and funding, giving you the key elements needed for a successful business, freelance career or social enterprise.

When you’re not busy enjoying the festivities, relax and unwind back at the campsite by joining our Summer Start-up Week community Facebook group. Here, you can take part in daily competitions, exclusive events, hang-out, share ideas, knowledge and network with fellow festival goers.

The event is free to attend for those studying or have studied at a Welsh College or University and will be live streamed directly to you from the comfort of your own home. Wellies are optional.

Os ydych chi eisiau datblygu syniadau am cychwyn busnes, mynd yn llawrydd, ehangu eich busnes neu fenter gymdeithasol, mae rhywbeth sy’n addas i bawb yng Ngŵyl Wythnos Cychwyn Busnes yr Haf.

Gyda digwyddiadau’n cymryd lle ar draws 4 llwyfan ac amserlen sy’n cynnwys rhai o’r entrepreneuriaid disgleiriaf yng Nghymru, bydd ein cwrs ar-lein sy’n digwydd dros gyfnod o bump diwrnod yn eich helpu i feithrin, datblygu ac ehangu eich busnes. Gallwch grwydro o gwmpas maes rhithiol yr ŵyl gan fynychu areithiau, gweithdai rhyngweithiol, trafodaethau panel, sesiynau cwestiwn ac ateb byw a llawer mwy! Ar bob llwyfan, bydd amrywiaeth o arbenigwyr yn trafod amrywiaeth o feysydd; o ymchwil a marchnata i lif arian a chyllid, gan roi gwybodaeth ar y prif elfennau sydd eu hangen ar gyfer busnes llwyddiannus, gyrfa lawrydd neu fenter gymdeithasol.

Pan nad ydych chi’n cymryd rhan yn y dathliadau, ymlaciwch yn y maes gwersylla gan ymuno â’n grŵp Facebook. Yma, gallwch gymryd rhan mewn cystadlaethau dyddiol, digwyddiadau unigryw, cymdeithasu, rhannu syniadau, gwybodaeth a rhwydweithio gyda chyd-fynychwyr yr ŵyl.

Mae’r digwyddiad yn rhad ac am ddim i bobl sydd yn astudio neu sydd wedi astudio mewn Coleg neu Brifysgol yng Nghymru, a chaiff y digwyddiad ei ddarlledu’n fyw atoch chi yn eich cartref.

Privacy notice - Signing up to Summer Start up Week Festival

Summer Start up Week and your institution will be the Data Controller for the personal data you provide. The data will be processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

This privacy notice explains how your personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully and in a transparent manner. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices.

When you sign up online with Summer Start Up Week, we will use the information you provide to deliver the information and help highlighted as you sign up. This includes sending you emails, links to online resources and networking events, direct mail relevant to starting a business and sending you guides.

We process your data in line with the official authority vested in Welsh Government to support youth entrepreneurship in line with the national strategy Prosperity for All: The Economic Action Plan.

Your data will be processed by your institution and the Welsh Government and service providers who deliver Big Ideas Wales support on behalf of the Welsh Government. The data will be retained for 10 years after the duration of Summer Start up Week.

Your rights

• Under the data protection legislation, You have the right to:

• Access to the Personal data that we are processing about you;

• Require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;

• The right (in certain circumstances) to object to or restrict processing;;

• The right (in certain circumstances) for your data to be ‘erased’;
