Teaching Gender, Sex, and Consent in Philippine High Schools Registration Form
Education is a crucial sector, with schools ideally serving as formative areas for cultivating ideas, values, and mindsets. However, especially in a patriarchal system, some of these norms can box us into dangerous stereotypes and prejudices, ultimately emerging as damaging and oppressive behaviors toward certain groups in society.
In striving for more progressive learning environments, we probe into what reforms are needed to foster respect and equality in our institutions and to build safe spaces for all.
Project Insight proudly presents “Teaching Gender, Sex, and Consent in Philippine High Schools” on August 22, 2020, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM (GMT+8) via Zoom and Facebook Live.
The panel will feature Amina Swanepoel, founder of Roots of Health; Dr. Danielle Ochoa of the University of the Philippines; Angela Natividad of When In Manila; and Gian Lao, a poet and essayist.
