Experience the tranquility of the River Taff and its wildlife, as you paddle your way to Castell Coch with Outdoor Explore Wales. Take in the stunning views of this castle from a totally different perspective!

This is an activity suitable for all ages and abilities, so whether you are a novice or an experienced paddler, come join us on this unique adventure. Always in a small group of no more than 6, everyone has the chance to relax, enjoy and paddle at their own pace.

This relaxing stand up paddleboard journey on the River Taff will last about 1.5-hours.

The price is £29pp if you have your own equipment.

You can hire full kit from us for £9, which includes:

1. SUP Board
2. Paddle
3. Buoyancy Aid
4. Leash

Any photos that we take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey.

Please note, due to being a small business, we need at least three participants on guided tours. While we will do our best to fill each session, if there are fewer than 3 booked on, we will look at rearranging the session.

Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather.

It's also a good idea to bring a small bottle of water, especially on a hot day.

You will be led on a slow-pace paddle from Radyr Weir upstream to get a fantastic, unique view of Castell Coch.

Your instructor will provide any paddleboarding tips you might want, and will tell you about the wildlife and history of the surrounding area.
