New Life Church in Cupertino
Soul Care | Week #7
Many Americans live very close to their limits with time, finances, and relationships. This impacts our souls in many ways including increasing our stress and hurting our relationships, while distracting us from what is most important. Having a lack of margin also impacts our relationship with God because there's a connection between our willingness to create margin and our faith. Join us for Church Online as we look at why margin is important to having a healthy soul and how to add it to our lives. You can join us each Sunday at 10am through http://www.nlnc.online.church.

The space between our current pace and our limit
Without margin in our lives, we can all fall into traps.
How is my soul?
We naturally drift away from each other and drift toward isolation & loneliness.
Soul care moves us toward community.
If you deal with anxiety, depression, or any mental health issues...
#1 You are not alone.
#2 You are not unspiritual.
#3 You live in a culture that over consumes.
Caring for our souls means we can bring our anxiety to God.
- our stress level goes up.
- our focus narrows.
- our relationships suffer.
- our souls suffer.
Creating margin by taking a day off for Sabbath was an expression of trust in God.
TITHE
Creating margin by giving away 10% was a reminder not to spend all of your income.
GLEANING
Creating margin by not taking everything they could was a way to see God work through them.
How has creating margin benefited you or others? How has creating margin hurt you? How has NOT creating margin hurt you or others?
#2 To create that margin, what do you need to pull out of your finances, career, schedule, or other relationships?
#3 What do you need to add to create more margin in your life?
