- Entrants take part in Takbo.ph virtual events entirely at their own risk and are 100% responsible for selecting a safe route to run. Entrants declare that they are physically fit and capable of participating in this event and completing the distance they have nominated. They are not aware of any medical condition or impairment that will prevent participation in this event or will affect their health by participation. Takbo.ph and the partners, sponsors and charities it supports accept no responsibility for any accidents or injuries sustained whilst taking part in a Takbo.ph virtual event.
- Entrants acknowledge that this is a virtual run and that the organisers will not track or verify results or provide volunteers, marshals or medical personnel assistance to any entrant.
- Entrants acknowledge that the entry fee is for the space in the virtual run and not to ‘purchase’ the event entitlement. The entitlement is a reward for all completing entrants in the allocated time.
- Children are welcome to take part in Takbo.ph virtual events but should be accompanied and closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- By entering a Takbo.ph virtual event, you are accepting that Takbo.ph will contact you to confirm your entry and keep you updated on the progress of your entitlements. Per our Privacy Policy, you have the option of being added to the Takbo.ph mailing list to receive updates on future events, offers and news. You can unsubscribe from the Takbo.ph mailing list at any time.
- After completing your virtual run you must upload a run details photo (or multiple photos if you break the event down into several goes) to your event entry in your account. Without a run details photo(s) you will not have completed your virtual run and so will not receive the finisher’s entitlements. If you experience any difficulties creating or uploading a run details photo(s), please contact the Takbo.ph team.
- Takbo.ph virtual runs are not competitive events and as such, there will be no winner or leaderboard of each event.
- Takbo.ph will be free to use any images uploaded to Takbo.ph or in which we are tagged on our social channels for any purpose.
Privacy Policy
- Information we collect. We collect personally identifiable information about you when you enter a Takbo.ph event, such as your full name, email address, shipping address and phone number. When purchasing an entry into a Takbo.ph event, the third-party payment services (banks, credit/debit cards, online payment gateway, etc.) will collect your payment information. This payment information is managed by the respective banks, credit/debit cards and payment gateways and we do not have access to it. As part of the event completion process you are also expected to upload images of the activities you have completed (run evidence).
- How we use your information. We use the information we collect to identify you as a participant in a Takbo.ph event. We require your shipping address in order to send you your entitlements. We require a phone number in case we need to contact you about your event entry. We require your email address in order to send you an entry confirmation and then a medal dispatched notification. Your shipping information is also provided to our partner couriers.
- We may need to send you occasional event related emails, such as instructions on how to gather and upload your run evidence, event reminders and updates. However we will not send marketing or promotional emails that are not related to the virtual event.
- How we share your information. Takbo.ph will share your personal information to the event sponsor, partner or charity.
- Your right to erasure. You can request at any time that we delete your information from our stored data. This can be requested by sending a message through or FB Chat.
- Cookies. Like many websites Takbo.ph use cookies to enhance your online experience with us. Cookies are used to both manage your login to your account and to anonymously track your usage of our website.
