Thank you for your interest in this very special and important event for the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPoC) of our beloved community. Our speaker series will run from September through December 2020, bi-weekly, and all are invited to attend, regardless or race or faith identity. You will hear from 7 prominent Unitarian Universalist religious professionals of color, who will speak from their perspective to other Unitarian Universalists of color.
While this event is open to all people from across the UU and international world, this event will center Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), including mixed-race/multiracial individuals, and their immediate white family members. These individuals will have access to a Q&A session and discussion with the speaker during the event.
White people who do not identify with any of the above are also welcome to view the conversation from an observer perspective, and will not have the ability to speak or ask questions. We will ask our white allies to observe from a space where you can be informed but not inform the conversation and bear witness to the needs of the BIPoC people in the room.
This series is sponsored by the 7 Unitarian Universalist congregations of the Boulder-Denver Cluster in Colorado. The intervening Sundays, we will host an extended discussion time about the topics raised in the speaker series. These Sundays are open only to BIPOC and immediate family members from the greater Colorado Front Range community. Please fill out the questions below to ensure we hold space for you in this incredible event!
You only need to register once, regardless of the number of sessions you are willing and able to attend.
