Unstoppable #2

Unthinkable

Rate this book

This is book two in Unstoppable an emotional, new adult, contemporary romance series.

LISS
Guys like Leon Bradshaw can’t be trusted—a fact I’m not about to let myself forget.

Blonde hair, blue eyes, packed body, Claremont High royalty... you know the type. There's never been any love lost between Leon and I—Pretty Boy with no substance isn't my type. And between the horde of cheerleaders and his obsession with my best friend, I'm certain I'm not his either.

But when fate delivers a crushing blow, and my world falls out from underneath me, Leon's there acting like he gives a damn, holding my broken pieces together, and forcing me to look at him in a different light.

It’s all an act, I know it is. I just need to make sure it's one I don't fall for.

LEON
Nothing about Alissa Bedford is ever easy. That might be what I like most about her.

Picture a Victoria's Secret Angel with a sleek halo of white blonde hair. Then replace her heart with a slab of stone cold ice, and you'll have our resident Snow Queen. The girl despises me—snap off my balls and feed them to me through a straw type hate. But what if that frosty exterior is only surface deep?

When she lets me close enough, I can almost make out the vulnerable girl beneath the wafer-thin veneer. What if Lissa wants to keep everyone out because her heart isn't quite as indestructible as she makes out? And what if I want more than just to make the ice princess melt?

What if I want to make her mine?
**

Note: "Unthinkable" is an angsty, emotional, standalone book, and the second in a series of interconnected stories. Each can be read alone, but it's advisable to read each book in order. Due to offensive language, and mature themes, this series is intended for readers 17+.

Danielle Hill is a contemporary romance author from the north of England. She lives with her husband, who’s learned to live with the fact her head is full of other (fictitious) men, and two gorgeous kids, whom she mostly remembers to feed and water, in between writing stories.

When she’s not writing, you’ll find her curled up with a book, watching a riveting box set and talking all the way through it (to her husband’s delight), or eating cookie dough cheesecake while promising to hit the gym tomorrow… not once has anyone found her in a gym. Don’t bother looking there.

She enjoys reading and writing about strong guys and girls who overcome all the odds to find their happy ending.

~~Tripping his head to the side he studied me, his sea blue eyes unusually serious. " Do you hate all men? Or is it just me?"~~

Holy moly my heart. One the best feisty book that I have read this year. I loved the way Leon and Lizza had light banter .Their chemistry was fire.

I loved to know about Lizza's past and her emotions and delving into her pov I understood her struggle and the way she acts.

I've read many books with a manwhore main character. So yes I know what I'm saying. You can fool around how much you want but if you claim to like the girl for real thn you stop there. Here we see Leon claiming that he's serious about Alissa before they went to college but he kept sleeping around. But that's okay cause it was still the beginning. After the sex I thought he's gonna change for her. But no he was still a manwhore. And blaming her for not getting serious with him. Well he wasn't giving her a reason!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! With Unthinkable, Danielle Hill has gone from a new-to-me-author to a one-click author...and that was pretty much from Chapter 1. Yes, the very first chapter of this book was one of the most impactful beginnings that I think I've ever read and I was completely drawn into this story.

This is the story of Liss and Leon. Liss is so cold hearted that she's known as the Snow Queen and she definitely throws the ice at "pretty boy" Leon. She won't be fooled by his charm and good looks, but as the life she knows begins to crumble, Liss begins to realize that there may be more to Leon than meets the eye. Can he possibly be the one to melt her frozen heart?

Now, I haven't read the first book in this series and I need to rectify that just as soon as possible. There is obviously a huge story that I'm missing involving Liss and Leon's best friends, and Leon too, but it didn't take away from this story for me. If you aren't one to start reading mid-series though, I'd definitely suggest picking up book 1 first.

As for this book, I couldn't get enough of these characters. I loved both Liss and Leon from the moment that I met them, and my heart broke for both of them. This story brought the laughter, anger, and some tears. I felt every single emotion throughout this one, and I didn't want this story to end. I can't wait for the rest of this series and will be stalking this author for every word that she writes. If you're a fan of mature YA romance that is true to life and will leave you with a major book hangover, then I can't recommend this one enough.

Omfg! My heart 😢 this book has tore my heart out. Iv not cried like that to a book. This is my first read by Danielle and it definitely won’t be the last!

This is Alissa and Leon’s story and boy it will put you through the ringer! Alissa is a cold hearted sassy bitch (that’s how she’s called Snow Queen) who won’t back down to anyone’s shit. What a mouth she has on her and her come back had me laughing so hard!

“𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙠’𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙩𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙩. 𝙎𝙚𝙭 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙖𝙯𝙖𝙧𝙙. 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙩.”

Leon is the popular pretty boy who is a player (that’s how he got his nickname pretty boy) he has know Alissa since they where kids but has never looked at her as anything more than the snow queen who gives him sass all the time until they are 19 and he see’s her for who she really is. Will it be enough to melt the ice on her cold heart?

“𝙒𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩, 𝙎𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣.”

This book will have you laughing, crying and just screaming in frustration with everything that happens! My heart was aching through this book and I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to read more from Danielle.

I loved this book even more than the first! Liss and Leon's banter was awesome, and I actually cried because I related so much to the things Liss was going through. And Leon seemed like a shallow playboy at first, but now he's going in my book boyfriend collection. ;)

The girl despises me—snap off my balls and feed them to me through a straw type hate. But what if that frosty exterior is only surface deep?

Leon and Liss both have their issues. Liss has built up a wall around herself and her heart to prevent others from hurting her. Leon feels like a constant disappointment, which turns him into a hothead that sleeps around. But can the arrogant man warm up the snow queen? Can the snow queen show the Pretty Boy that he is more than what people see?

This book was a rollercoaster ride for me. I laughed so much in the beginning, was frustrated in the middle, then emotional by the end. I give the book 4.5 stars. The writing was great and I stayed engaged throughout the book. It was a scence towards the end that threw me for a loop. Danielle wrote the scence perfectly and it meshed well with the characters personality, but the h made me want to lose it. That in itself shows how good the book was. I sometimes find in hard to invest in and connect to the characters, but this book had me excited to see the characters get their HEA. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

3.5 Stars! Angsty and yet sweet coming of age story!

Liss - you really feel for her from the minute you first meet her at 13, when her dad abandoned them for his new family, to 19 when she's struggling to come to terms with her mum's diagnosis. With so much heartache in her life she shuts it all off to the outside world, resulting in the nickname 'Snow Queen'. She's used to never letting anyone get close to her, so when the resident high school playboy sets his eyes on her, she does everything she can to guard her heart. Even if this means breaking his and her own in the process...

Leon - he's used to girls falling at this feet, or at least dropping to their knees, but now he's finally over his rejection from Riley, he wants something more. And this more comes in the shape of the sexy spitfire who apparently wants nothing to do with him, Liss. Can he help show her she can finally let someone into her heart? Or will they both end up hurt?

This story takes you through high school into their initial college years in a seamless way, with no jarring flashbacks. My heart broke for Liss, while at the same time I wanted to slap her in parts! I only knocked stars off, because I'm personally not a fan of OW/OM encounters in my romances, to which there were a few. Nothing 'technically cheating', but still not my thing.

These two really had a rollercoaster journey to get their HEA! With plenty of steam along the way! I look forward to more from the gang in future!

**Honest ARC review**

No cliff-hanger. HEA guaranteed.

This is my first read from Author and it blew my mind! I dont think Ive ever had a first chapter hit me as hard as this one did. That first chapter got to me good, it was emotional and Raw and it shows you how much of a strong character our leading lady Lissa is and why she turns out to be the famous cold hearted Snow Queen.

Lissa is such a bad ass in my opinion. She has had to endured so much emotional damage and does not take any shit from anyone. I loved her.

Leon, the typical HS “pretty boy” playboy. Jumping from one girl to another! He can make your skin crawl at times with how crass he can be about girls but he redeems himself in the end.

This is a great enemy to lovers romance. Lissa and Leon share this intense chemistry fueled by hate and angst. You can feel the tension oozing off the two from the pages with all their banter.

Danielle Hill did such a great job with her writing and the timelines, they flow naturally without her having to specifically state how many weeks/months have passed. I enjoyed it. This is Book #2 in her Unstoppable series and our characters get introduced in book #1 Untouchable, you dont have to read #1 to understand what happens in this one. Can be read as a total standalone.

I definitely recommend this one if you love Enemies to Lovers and are ready to have your heart get stomped on a little!

I received an arc for my honest opinion

Oops I’m late reading this. I read the date wrong and for some reason thought it was releasing tomorrow.

Anyways.....

Why did I wait until what I thought was the last min to read this? Probably because I’m an idiot lol forgetful probably have adhd space case over here.

The story grabs your attention and holds on until the very end. The banter back and forth between Leon and Liss kept the story entertaining.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author and while it’s a stand alone in a series I need to go and read book one. Especially after seeing little pieces of the couple from that book.

I will definitely pick up the next book when it comes out because hello did you not see all that sexual tension between the two in this one.

Overall I really did enjoy this book and read it all in one sitting. I didn’t even skim a page to get through anything. Lol that alone is a miracle from me lately. So grab a box of tissues (if your a crier, I’m not but I was thinking my friend who does cry would have shed a few tears) and settle in for a few hours and enjoy!

Beautiful breathtaking journey!💜

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬. This beautifully breathtaking journey is one hella an emotional ride but beautifully mesmerising.

My actual heart. Snapped. Broke and felt every friggin emotion going. But Danielle Hill has a way of creating the most heart wrenching and beuatiful moments in her writing!

"𝐆𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝—𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭."

Leon Leon Leon, wow i am a sucker for a playboy persona who uses humour as a front. Leon is breathtaking and his growth in this story is unreal. Leon sweeped me off my feet.

"𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞."

Liss is a strong and beautiful female who is hiding behind pain. Her actions and thought processes are with the best intentions but damn my heart was ripped apart.

“𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞"

The emotional charge in this book is 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐄𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐒 and will leave you speechless. With each chapter and deeper into the pages, i felt my heart pacing. My jaw was firmly on the floor oh, and it broke. Pure damn heartbreak. But that ending BEAUTIFUL.

Unthinkable...

One word that could mean so many things.
In this book this pertains to a particular haunting reason.

Our snow queen and the womaniser with a heart of gold.

The journey these two go through is; to say the least, quite a whirlwind.

One that at first gave me all the giddy feelings but at a certain point frustrated me.

I would've like to see "more". More of them engaging in time spent not rolling between the sheets but time spent talking and just hanging out.

The author did write some beautiful prose.

One example being:

"He didn’t care that my path was so uncertain. He was here, and he was willing to take my hand and jump on board a train to nowhere, just to be with me. Because it wasn’t the destination; it was the journey. And the people we travelled it with. However long, or short it might be."

Either way, this was haunting story with a lot of promise. Unfortunately, it fell a little flat for me.

Don't let that deter you from reading this story as this is my personal experience and might be different for you.

This was such a heart wrenching read in the best of ways. It's raw, emotional, real with all of the feels you could ask for. Leon and Liss have a love/hate relationship and Liss keeps him at arms length because of trust issues stemming from her parents failed relationship. Leon is the playboy who just can't get it together, but with Liss he wants to be a better person for her. They are each other's kryptonite and dynamite. They each have the power to bring each other to their knees and to ignite the sparks that will burn forever. The push and pull between them will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how their story will unfold. There are twists and turns that made me want to scream and cry, but every word was worth reading. Honestly, they are worth reading again and again because they will make you feel it all and put you back together again. I love their story and didn't want it to end, but I really appreciated the epilogue at the end that gives readers an insight to the future.

I loved the first book, but OMG I just fell in love with this one. Danielle Hill will not stop surprising me from book to book.

In the first book I really didn't like Leon's attitude, what a jerk. However, in this story he really made me fall in love with him.

The love-hate relationship between Liss and Leon is just perfect. Leon, who is trying hard to melt the icy heart of his ‘Snow Queen’. While Liss remains stuck in not wanting to fall in love with anyone and closes her heart to any possibility.
In Unthinkable we discover a confident, independent and beautiful Liss. We understand better why she acts this way towards the boys but above all towards Leon. We discover a new Leon with much more maturity he is so caring, attentive and supportive.

The breakdown of lines between the two characters is just hilarious. On the other hand, it has a large part of the book that broke my heart.

This book is just amazing !

This book comes out of nowhere and will have you laughing, crying, and all the emotions in-between. It also proves that people aren’t always who they portray themselves to be and often have much more going on under the surface. Liss is a “Snow Queen” who hides all emotion behind an icy wall built up after so much heartache and trauma. Leon is the quintessential High School heartthrob who seems to be able to get any girl he wants with just a look. What happens though when the “Snow Queen” finds someone who won’t let her run from her emotions and wants to break down the icy walls she’s built? While the book is slow to start, once it gets going you better hold on for the ride because Danielle Hill writes characters that you find yourself loving while also wanting to yell at because you can’t believe the decisions they’re making. She also poses a heart wrenching scenario…do you allow yourself to love and be loved if a future isn’t guaranteed?

ARC Review
Liss and Leon's story
Having read Untouchable #1 in the Unstoppable series I had a good understanding of Liss and Leon's personalities. Liss doesn't suffer fools, has a bitchy mouth and is the best of friends to Riley. Unfortunately for Leon, Liss has always seen him as a fool and a player and he is often at the end of her sharp tongue.
In Unthinkable we get to see why Liss is the person she is and we find Leon growing up into the person she believed he was the opposite of. The chemistry between the 2 is sizzling!
For a good majority of the book I was openly laughing my head off. The snipes between the 2 are hillarious. However there is a good portion of serious heartbreak, it really hit home.
I loved, loved, loved Liss and Leon's story and can't wait for Jase and Sara to tell me theirs!

Holy mother of ugly cries, that was rough.
It hit harder than I expected. Okay, so realistically, only one tear dropped but my heart stuttered several times while reading.

Some of life's cruelest moments can simply come down to genetics and it seems so unfair – but it also reminds you to be grateful. Grateful for your family, grateful for your friends, grateful for your memories, grateful for love.

Leon and Liss were a beautiful and chaotic ride. Their raging and changing emotions, their digs at one another, their combustible passion, their magnetic attraction, their fears and dreams – it was completely riveting.

This book, gah! I didn't want to put it down!
I only wish I had another book to follow this because this group of friends—their dramatic relationships—they grab me like no other. I have my fingers crossed we will get Jase's story next!

This is the 2nd book in this series and is Leon and Lys’ journey. Leon is the bad boy who is used to getting any girl he wants that is except Lys, who is a spitfire and so cold hearted she is know by the nickname “Snow Queen”. Lys has not had an easy life which is filled with heartbreak and trust issues, and this results in not allowing anyone to get close to her. Leon knows that there is more to Lys than the façade she presents to all, and when her life starts to crumble will she trust him and let him break down the walls around her heart? This is a beautifully written story which is heartwrenching, and an emotional roller coaster throughout, and is raw, gritty, and powerful, with witty banter, angst, and is a humorous and entertaining read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

One of my favourite parts of this book happens at the very beginning when Alissa has a moment with her father that really made me laugh. In my opinion this is the very moment that the Snow Queen was created.

I really liked Alissa especially her sassy mouth and her don’t care attitude. There were several times when I found her to be incredibly selfish especially in regards to her mother. I personally liked Leon even though he slept around with a lot of girls. I found him to be hilarious and I could see that he had a kind heart.

I was rooting for Alissa and Leon from the very start because I really enjoyed their chaotic chemistry. This was a great book and I can’t wait to see what is next.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

Lissa and Leon’s story was such a treat to read! Don’t get me wrong their journey definitely took me through the wringer with a whirlwind of emotions, but I’m so glad that they were able to pull through for each other and together in the end. Besides their relationship, there was so much this book offered that was both heartbreaking to read, but also knowledgeable in understanding the realities that comes with life. There were also many moments of happiness, that remind us to live life to the fullest and live in the moment. Overall, I enjoyed my time reading this book, and I definitely look forward to more books in store from this author. Especially with Sara and Jase, as well as Olivia and Matt’s.

I'm going to keep this review short & sweet because all opinions are my own, and frankly, I hate giving any sort of negativity about an author's work since I certainly can't write anything worth reading. That being said, this hero was no hero (not even an anti-hero) because he was just terrible. I've heard said love is an action, so he didn't love anyone but himself with his actions, and reading about his supposed "feelings" for Liss was too much since they were all lies & I don't like to read books where I stay enraged cover to cover. I'm all about a reformed manw*o*es, but he's not reformed, just gross. I could go on & on all day long but again, this is only my opinion and I hope you'll decide for yourselves! {3.5 STARS}

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨.𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠.𝙄𝙨.𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜!

I can't stress how much I fell in love with this.
Liss is amazing - she's confident, independent and beautiful. I really felt for her throughout the story. For someone so strong, it was completely heartbreaking to see her in certain parts of the book.

Leon is honestly boyfriend goals. At first, he comes across as the arrogant playboy type. But I completely fell in love with him in this book. He's caring, attentive, supportive and as I said before. Boyfriend. GOALS.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘪𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴. But it's perfect. I wouldn't change any of this at all.

If you read this be prepared to laugh, cry and fall in love.

Wow, this is one of the most beautiful, amazing and Emotional story that will make your heart shatter into pieces 💔💔💔

The love and hate relationship between Leo and Lissa is full of passion and emotion. The struggle they both have to deal with is so deep that makes you feel sad at times while reading it. Lissa had put her walls up to not anyone let in because she didn’t want to get hurt the way her mother did. And the fear of loosing the ones she loves the most is too much to handle.
But the love so strong they have can overcome anything even when it’s time to face the fear of unknown.

I LOVED this story and would Highly Recommend it to everyone ❤️❤️❤️

After Danielle’s first book, I was weary about her second. I wasn’t sure it would hold the same power the first book did. It was different characters, different situations and I was nervous that Alissa and Leon wouldn’t be able to get the same reactions from me that Riley and Reno had gotten.... I was so wrong...

This book was just as powerful and gut punching as her first book. It grabs you from the first chapter and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that has you laughing, crying, screaming, feeling like you want to hit something and then brings you right back around to crying again.

I cannot wait for the next book!!

What a ride!!!

Wow!! How is this only the 2nd book from this author!!!
This story will forever be etched in my heart, and what a story it is. It's got everything you could want, drama, friendships, building relationship and heart shattering love.
Leon is everyone's dream 🔥🥵🔥 he's hot, cheeky and never gives up. Lissa , there were many times throughout this book that I found myself shouting at her, she had me frustrated but ultimately I loved her character. She's fierce but with a vulnerable side.
I can not wait to read more from this author!!

Omg this book was everything!!! It was beyond good...but it was also heart wrenching and heart breaking at times!! They had me cracking up!! This book was more than 5 stars!!!!

This is the first book in a long time that actually made me cry. Like, actual tears, guys.

At first, I had a hard time relating to Lissa, even though I understood at a deep level why she acted the way she did. I got over that about halfway through, and I really liked Leon from the start.

I just love an angsty New Adult book and this author delivered.

I found Danielle Hill on Instagram and asked for an ARC of this 2nd book in her Unstoppable Series. And now... please excuse me while I go read every word she's ever written, grocery lists and post-it notes included. HOLY HELL I could not get enough of this story. The writing was just phenomenal, I couldn't stop highlighting favorite quotes.

I absolutely loved Liss and Leon. Enemies to lovers is by far my favorite trope, and the idea of the female being the Snow Queen was just phenomenal. I loved watching Liss' stone cold exterior melt under Leon's persistence. The storyline of her past, her distrust in men, and then her family's troubles played in so beautifully to her and Leon's story. I can't remember the last time a book made me cry without the author killing someone off, but this one did it. Danielle actually made me cry from the beauty of a relationship.

You definitely need to read this book. I myself will be doubling back to read book #1, as well as waiting with bated breath for Sara and Jase's story (which I am unbelievably excited for, by the way).
