About this app

Your favorite pizza, directly to your home in the city of Nardò (LE). Download the free La Torre app and order your pizza. You choose it with the best alternative dough, gluten-free artisan dough, more side dishes and drinks.

You can choose three payment methods: online with the Paypal system in total security, directly to the delivery to your home or you can place your order, collect it and pay it in a pizzeria (we are in Nardò, in the province of Lecce, in via Duca degli Abruzzi 61 ).

The pizzeria "La Torre" was born in 1999 in Nardò, in Corso Galliano, by the will of Antonio Tarantino. Slowly, the small pizzeria and rotisserie gathers support and appreciation, and in 2009 his son Michele began attending training courses at the APP (Professional Pizzaioli Associations).

Here Michele embraces the philosophy of doughs with alternative flours, as an increasing number of customers - for needs due to the manifestation of allergies or simply to enrich their diet - require less refined flours. Over time, Michele took on the role of instructor and he himself held training courses for the association and other training institutions.

On September 16, 2014 Michele Tarantino also participated in the Guinness World Record of Naples and won, together with his colleagues, a medal, highlighting the dough and launching, in synchronized acrobatic mode, the pizzas and then spread them in three seconds, enlarging them up to a maximum diameter of 31 cm. But it does not end here: shortly afterwards it also wins a bronze medal in Bucharest (Romania) in the world championships, clashing and excelling among over 200 colleagues. So the triumph with the Italian National Pizzaioli composed of a selection of the best pizza makers in Italy, who clashed with foreign colleagues, broadcast on television for the Gustibus Estate program (on La7) with several episodes aired from June to July.

Hand in hand with Michele's brilliant journey, projects, dough and types of pizzas increase. The old walls of Corso Galliano thus began to be tight for the Tarantino family who, in 2015, moved to a larger room, again in Nardò (Via Duca degli Abruzzi, 61) becoming a reference point no longer solely for the takeaway but also with seats.
