COVID-19: Ballet Folklorico Tierra Del Norte will be holding class in-person class in accordance with local regulations. Class will be held outdoors and capped to 5 students. If regulations allow for classes to be moved indoors, classes will be moved to the Watauga Rec Center. If regulations require any in-person classes to cease, the rest of the session will be completed online via ZOOM.

When dancing students will not be required to wear their masks but social distance will be followed at all times. Please have your student take a mask to class in the event that social distance cannot be followed.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR STUDENT TO CLASS IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS FEELING SICK. PLEASE NOTIFY MELISSA MAGANA IF YOUR STUDENT OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID-19.

Insurance: Ballet Folklorico Tierra Del Norte / Melissa Magana DOES NOT carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family’s insurance policies, and if injury or sickness occurs, it is understood that the student’s own policy is your only source of reimbursement.

TUITION: In order for a student to participate in Ballet Folklorico Tierra Del Norte, all paperwork and fees must be completed. Tuition is DUE ON the 1st day of class paid Cash, Venmo or CashApp to Melissa Magana (Venmo, CashApp @BFTierraDelNorte). Tuition remains the same regardless of absences. Tuition for Fall Session is $80 for Children & Youth. Fall Session is Sept 12 - Oct 31st

Bad Weather/ Emergency Make Up Day: Ballet Folklorico Tierra Del Norte / Melissa Magana will notify parents via email, text and/or phone call to cancel class in case of bad weather and/or personal emergency. Any cancelled classes will be made up during the session and will be held in-person OR Zoom.  Classes will not be prorated for bad weather days and/or personal emergencies regardless if you can or cannot attend the make up class.

Attendance is taken at each class. GOOD ATTENDANCE is imperative as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class and Ballet Folklorico Tierra del Norte cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one student. Please make every effort to have your child at every class. There are NO refunds, credits or pro-rated tuition for missed lessons.

Class Observation : Class this session will be held outdoors at the Capp Smith Park Amphitheater. Only 1 parent (or family member) per student will be allowed to sit in the amphitheater. MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCE WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THOSE OBSERVING THE CLASS. Ballet Folklorico Tierra Del Norte has found that students do much better when the instructor can have their sole attention. Although observing is allowed, if a parent and/or family member is found distracting the student or talking aloud they will be kindly asked to leave the amphitheater. 2nd warning of PARENT AND/OR FAMILY distraction will result in viewing privileges removed. 3rd warning will result in student removal of dance session with NO REFUND.

Due to the current pandemic, a VIRTUAL recital will be held on the last day of class for all your family and friends to enjoy via Facebook LIVE.

Black Shorts (IMPORTANT - DO NOT FORGET)

Black folklorico boots. Tennis shoes will be acceptable
