Biblical Itinerary

Itinerary:

Depart for Israel: Tuesday 29 August 

Day 1 – Wednesday 30^th August, 2023- Arrival to Israel: 

Welcome to the Land of Promise 

• Group flight arrives to Israel – Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)
• Twins Tours guide & driver meet group in airport arrivals hall

Dinner & 1 Overnight in Tel Aviv area.

Day 2 – Thursday 31 August , 2023- The Coastal Palin:

The Gentile Pentecost

Travel along Via Maris, the ancient international coastal highway

• Old City Port of Jaffa & Bus Visit Tel Aviv 
• Caesarea Maritima – Gateway of Rome to the east. 
• Lunch

• Megiddo – the Plain of Armageddon

Drive to Galilee

Dinner & check in for  3 Overnights in Tiberias hotel or a kibbutz at the lakeshore.  

Day 3 – Friday 1^st Sept, 2023, Lower Galilee: 

The Word Became Flesh 

• Mt. Arbel - overlook of Sea of Galilee region
• Sepphoris- Herod Antipas rebuilt as the ornament of Galilee
• Lunch
• Nazareth- Church of the Annunciation
• Nazareth Village – a delightful recreation of a Galilean Jewish village 
• Mt Precipice for sunset– rejection of Jesus by his hometown.

Dinner & Overnight in Tiberias hotel or a kibbutz at the lakeshore.  

Day 4 –  Saturday 2^nd Sept, 2023, The Sea of Galilee: 

Becoming a Disciple of Jesus

Modest Dress Required

• Boat Ride & Museum – enjoy the landscape sailing around the Sea
• Mt. of Beatitudes – Kingdom of Heaven teaching.  
• Primacy of St. Peter, Tabgha - Jesus feeds his disciples 
• Capernaum –the headquarters of Jesus’ public ministry in Galilee 
• Lunch
• Baptisms at Yardenit –we will celebrate our baptism 
• Migdal –the hometown of Mary Magdalene
•  

Dinner & Overnight in Tiberias hotel or a kibbutz at the lakeshore

Day 5 – Sunday 3^rd Sept, 2023, The Jordan Valley: 

Crossing Over to the Land

Traveling south along the Rift Valley bypassing the West Bank

• Beit She'an- the Decapolis city west of the Jordan River
• Lunch
• Qumran – Explore the archeology of the Jewish “Essene” sect
• Ein Gedi- the hiding place of King David
• Dead Sea - Enjoy a swim (or rather a float!)

Dinner & 1 Overnight in the Dead Sea area.

Day 6 – Monday 4^th Sept, 2023, Judean Wilderness: 

The Desert as a refuge 

• Massada- One of Herod the Great’s magnificent fortresses 

(Walk Down from the Ramp)

• Lunch  
• Camel Ranch- (2 hour Ride) located in Dimona, Israel
•  

Dinner & 1 Overnight at the Camel Ranch.

Day 7 – Tuesday 5^th Sept, 2023, The Negev: The Desert as a Refuge

Check out from the Hotel

• Tel BeerSheba- Biblical BeerSheba
• Lunch
• The Elah Valley- David & Goliath
• Saxum Visitor Center

Drive up to Jerusalem and check in for 4 nights at  hotel in  Jerusalem

Day 8 – Wednesday 6^th Sept, 2023, Mountains & Valleys of Jerusalem: 

Jesus Triumphal Entry

Modest Dress Required

• Mount of Olives- observation panoramic view 
• Dominus Flevit- commemorating where Jesus wept
• Garden of Gethsemane- with its ancient olive grove, 
• Mount Zion- House of Caiaphas
• Lunch
• Jewish Quarter – Tour & Archeology 
• Davidson Center –pilgrims ascending to the Temple 
• Western Wall & Tunnel Tour– Holiest site in the world for the Jewish faithful

Dinner & Overnight at a Hotel in Jerusalem

Day 9 – Thursday 7^th Sept, 2023, The Hill Country of Judea: 

Bethlehem & Jerusalem

Modest Dress Required

• Temple Mount- Mount Moriah
• Israel Museum- Model of Jerusalem & Shrine of the Book
• Lunch
• Church of Nativity - oldest church in the world  

• Shepherds Fields- angels announced the birth of Christ 

Dinner & Overnight at a Hotel in Jerusalem

Day 10 – Friday 8^th Sept, 2023, The Old City: 

God establishes his Temple

Modest Dress Required

• City of David - Explore the original City of David 
• Pools of Bethesda- where Jesus healed a paralytic (John 5:1-15)
• Antonia Fortress (Praetorian)-  Jesus standing before Pontius Pilate
• Lunch
• Via Dolorosa- remembering Jesus suffering 
• Holy Sepulcher Church – Traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial 
• Garden Tomb- we will have a special time of worship and communion.

Day 11- Saturday 9^th of Sept,2023 

• Arrive home

Flights: 

Basic Airport / Flight Information

• Your airline ticket will be issued electronically.  When you arrive to the airport, please be prepared to present a passport to an airline representative in order to receive your boarding pass.
• All group seat assignments are under airport control.  Seat assignments online are not available for groups.  Pre-check in is not available to groups.
• You should arrive at the airport two hours before your flight departs.
• You are allowed one free checked bag and one free carry on.

Luggage (per person) limitations:

• Checked:  weight = 50 pounds max
  Maximum Size:  total of length + width + depth = 62”
• Carry-ons:  you are allowed to bring one piece that will fit in an overhead compartment (up to 14”w x 22”h x 9” deep) plus a smaller piece that will fit under your seat (up to 10”w x 17”h x 9” deep).
• All carry-on luggage items such as liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3.4 ounce (100ml) or smaller containers.  Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed.  There is not a limit on the types of liquids, gels and aerosols in your checked baggage.

What's not included:

• A non-refundable deposit of $450 is required for registration.  Full price will be published about 11 months prior to tour. 
• There is an extra fee for those who choose to have a single room accommodation. 
• If you register after April 29, 2023, price of tour might increase.
