Heading into League Play
Basketball (Boys) - This high scoring team, senior stacked team is looking to step up their defense and win the City League.
Basketball (Girls) - New Head Coach, Clarence Hill is excited about this young team. They hope to pull off some upsets in league play as they build toward making playoffs.
Soccer (Boys) - They are on a two game win streak (8 goals scored and 0 goals allowed) and have not lost since Dec 8th. The team hopes to take the City League title after barely missing out on the title last year.
Soccer (Girls) - The CIF Div 4 Champions from a year ago, return all but one starter from that team. The transition this year is a move up in competition to Division 3 and the Eastern League.
Water Polo (Girls) - Currently ranked 5th in SD County. They have played top competition from all over Southern Californa and SD County to gear up for the toughest league (Western) in San Diego. Hopefully, they can pull off some wins against Bishop's and La Jolla.
Wrestling (Boys & Girls) - Throughout Nov and Dec, the teams particpated in many tournaments to gear up for league and the post season.
Interested in taking the ASVAB?
The ASVAB will be administered at Clairemont on Wednesday, February 21st at 8:30am.
It is open to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. You must sign up!
ASVAB Registation Form
What is the ASVAB?
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world. As an aptitude test, the ASVAB measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. The ASVAB also provides you with career information for various civilian and military occupations and is an indicator for success in future endeavors whether you choose to go to college, vocational school, or a military career.
IT’S NOT JUST A MILITARY TEST.
Unlike other achievement tests, the ASVAB measures aptitude, or how well students have developed their skills, in addition to their potential for training. While the Department of Defense initially introduced the ASVAB as a predictor of trainability in military occupations, the test results showed applicability to ALL civilian and military career fields.
Every ASVAB participant receives scores used to guide career exploration on asvabprogram.com, and students in 11th grade and beyond also receive an AFQT score that can be used for enlistment if they choose.

Pure Water Construction on Clairemont Drive
Construction of Clairemont Drive is slowly approaching Marston and Clairemont High School. Both schools will be more affected from December through March. We are including updates as they are shared with us. You can visit the project website and sign up for project E-Blasts.
During the week of Dec 11-15, crews are expected to finish work within the Clairemont Dr./Dakota Dr. intersection. Once that is completed, crews will move south and begin working at the intersection of Clairemont Dr. and Iroquois Ave. They'll be installing the second pipeline in the roadway, heading north on Clairemont Dr. back up towards Dakota Dr. This work will last throughout the rest of December. Pipeline installation will occur during day work hours (730am to 430pm) and welding will occur during afternoon/night hours (4pm to midnight).
While this work is going on, traffic control (cones and signage) will be in place up to the Clairemont Dr. and Rappahannock Ave. intersection.

ATTENDANCE REPORTING
Check Attendance

Some of those absences still need to be called in by a parent/guardian and excused as illness. To clear an attendance, follow the instructions under Reporting an Absence on our CHS Attendance Page.
