SandiCoast Cafe (aka Food and Nutrition Services) is getting a refresh, and they need your help! SandiCoast Cafe was created in large part by students from San Diego Unified almost 13 years ago. The logo with a surf/beach theme has been used since to represent Food Services.
Guidelines for New Logo Survey
The SandiCoast Cafe name will remain the same (it was created by students for students).
Logo needs to be representative of the diversity of the district's students.
Colors need to be aligned with the San Diego Unified District’s logo.

Juniors and seniors can apply for the State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE).
The SSCE is for “pupils who have demonstrated excellence in civic education and participation and an understanding of the United States Constitution, the California Constitution, and the democratic system of government”.
There are five criteria that require evidence of completion.
The first deadline is April 9th.

We are busy planning for next year and are excited to announce that we will be opening a drop in center for our students! The center will be open from 7:30 am - 8:30 am (M,T,Th,F) 8:30 am - 9:45 am (W) and from 3:35-5:30 pm daily. This will give students a safe place to work on school work, hang out, play games, and participate in before and after school fun. We are asking that everyone fill out the survey in order to plan for the programs that YOU want to see offered!

FBI Teen Academy
FBI San Diego is now accepting applications for their 2024 Teen Academy, a free full-day program for rising high school juniors and seniors to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. Students will participate in presentations and hands-on activities covering a variety of law enforcement topics such as terrorism, cybercrime, public corruption, polygraph exams, evidence response, SWAT, and the day-to-day operations of a typical FBI office. Students will also hear from special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff about investigative tactics including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with cases.

Forest Service All Girls Camp
The Cleveland National Forest is seeking female students ages 16 – 18 to participate in their inaugural All Girls Camp to inspire girls to pursue careers in wildland firefighting and other exciting and rewarding Forest Service occupations.
Participants will learn how to fight fires and manage national resources through a variety of hands-on activities with their fellow camp members. See the attached flyer and details below for more information.

Some of those absences still need to be called in by a parent/guardian and excused as illness. To clear an attendance, follow the instructions under Reporting an Absence on our CHS Attendance Page.

They will be sent home for any of the following, and be asked to take a COVID test and follow the San Diego County Health Guidelines.

*If your student has a chronic pre-existing condition that causes these symptoms, your student may come to school if a “Certification of Chronic Medical Condition” form is on file. Available in the CHS Health Office.
* Free COVID home tests are available in the CHS Health Office.
* New permission for this school year is necessary to test at school routinely or if sick in the health office. Use the primary health app.
