RSVP MYCC "Climate HW Due" Youth Lobby Week - 1/24/22 - 1/26/22
For 10 months--while we lobbied, testified, and rallied--the many Climate Justice bills that youth have helped write and advocated for have sat unmoving in their Committees. But on February 2nd where the MA House of Representatives climate homework comes due. Called Joint Rule 10 Day, committees must vote for which bills ought to pass from their committees and continue on the path to law. We must remind them to vote favorably and transparently on the bills we are focusing on which are highlighted on MYCC policy priorities here:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ht8w_Duxo39ET6eRAHsq0kGRf6zQCNXS5JBGU1zX5qo/edit#

Can we count on you at this crucial moment of our campaign? Join the Massachusetts Youth Climate Coalition for our "Climate HW Due" Youth Lobby Week!

The event will consist of a series of online zoom meetings, including trainings on Monday Jan 24 afternoon and  legislator meetings throughout the rest of week according to legislator and student availability. (Students and teachers can anticipate missing between 1-2hrs of schools, one for meeting with Senators and one for meeting with Representatives.)

More scheduling details will be forthcoming. In the meantime, complete this form to sign up and help us connect you with your legislator and other youth in their district! Direct any questions to Our Climate Field Representative Suhaila Cotton: sucotton9@gmail.com.

Though this is a youth (<24yo) centered event, we welcome support from adult allies. If you're willing to take on supportive roles in our meetings or for the event, please RSVP. Please also consider signing up for our adult-led coalition partners Mass Power Forward for their Lobby day on Jan 27th.

Keep in mind: Our preparatory training program happens on the afternoon and evening of Monday.
