Through all of its stages, life is a journey of finding out who we are. But youth in particular are folk figuring out just how curious and challenging it is to discover who you are as a person on this ever-changing planet. For centuries, people have turned to the Bible for advice on who they should become and how they should act, but sometimes the Bible seems disconnected from our real life or too difficult to really understand. However, Scripture does not relay a list of rigorous rules for who we should be; instead, it's a collection of sacred stories centered around characters figuring out as God's people.
Middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to join us for a three-part small group series on Sunday nights, October 9, 16, and 23, from 4:15-5:15pm, for a chance to learn about some of the curious characters in Christian Scripture and how their stories can help us tell sacred stories with our own lives.
Middle schoolers will meet at the church and high schoolers off-site at a church members' home each week. More information will be sent out to RSVP'd high schoolers, including details about carpooling options from and to the church each week.
