Dhruv Bogra is coming to Kunzum Travel Cafe, Hauz Khas Village, to talk about his journey as an adventure cyclist, an author and an established business leader. In his talk, Dhruv will focus on the importance of taking a break from your career to pursue what you are passionate about.

ABOUT DHRUV
Dhruv is a seasoned senior business leader, adventure cyclist and an author.

He was born in 1968 in Shimla and is an alumnus of International Management Institute and Delhi University.  Dhruv has held a long and accomplished career in retail. Between his first job as a young manager with Tata Tea in Assam in 1989 to his current role as Head of Global Retail Experience at Royal Enfield, he has held many senior leadership roles with companies and brands like Adidas, Bestseller India ( Jack n Jones / Veromoda), Titan and Levi’s. He has travelled for work in all parts of India and visited over 30 countries.

In 2016, at 48, Dhruv embarked on a quest to challenge himself and shatter the cage of comfort and security at the peak of his career. In 13 months he cycled solo over 14,836 kms from Alaska to Peru, gaining an elevation of 276,000 ft.  It was an extremely demanding, challenging, rigorous and a life-transforming experience which tested his limits,  endurance, perseverance and self-belief. The journey envisioning, detailed planning and execution, assimilating new people, food and cultures each day, and rediscovering the unlimited power of mental and physical endurance. Dhruv acquired heightened and new skills related to wilderness survival, self-sufficiency, swift adaptation to unexpected situations and gained new perspectives on society and governance.
