Information
Generation Climate Europe is the largest coalition of European youth networks united by the goal of tackling the climate crisis and building a sustainable future for all. We believe that young people have the power to make a real difference in the fight against the climate crisis, and we are committed to amplifying their voices!
Why donate to GCE?
Support our mission:
As a non profit organisation, we rely on the support of individuals like you to fund our work. Your donation will help us to continue advocating for climate action at the European level and bring youth voices to the heart of Eu decision-making processes.
With a strong history of positive impact and multi-stakeholder partnerships, we are now looking to strengthen the financial sustainability of our coalition to ensure that we can empower even more young people around Europe.
Some impactful activities that we have organised and that would highly benefit from your support:
- Through the Youth Climate Dialogues we create platforms for youth to engage with EU decision-makers and debate EU climate and environmental policy
- Our Manifesto for an intergenerationally just post-growth European economy aims to push for the voice of youth in the post-growth debate and advocates for an intergenerationally just post-growth Europe and the world beyond together
- We launched a report mapping and analysing the state of youth engagement in the implementation of the Just Transition Mechanism of the EU
- We submitted a proposal to conduct research on whether (and how) degrowth can be a means to achieving intergenerational justice, which was selected to be presented at the 9th International Degrowth Conference in Zagreb.
Our work has been recognised by several key stakeholders - we have received the European Citizen’s Prize for our impact amplifying the voices of young people in the EU climate discussions.

How will your donation help us?
Your donation will go directly towards:
- Organisational capacity:
As we function with little treasury, the tools for our organisation are limited. We want to use the donation to access subscriptions and memberships to tools and organisations which can further improve our organisational capacity and capacity of action.
- Employment of staff:
At the moment, GCE is working with 230 volunteers who are dedicating their free time to it. In order for the organisation to grow, improve its processes, and have a greater impact, we need to employ 1 or 2 full time staff.
- Capacity building:
We provide training and support to the volunteers of GCE to develop their skills and knowledge. We are committed to equipping our volunteers with the tools they need to become better advocates. We also want our volunteers to thrive in their roles, and give them as many tools as possible to do so. Furthermore, we want to provide training for young people on EU climate policy and how to be a youth climate advocate, so they can make their own youth organisations sustainable.
- Community building:
We want to expand our presence and organise in-person events and actions that engage and mobilise young people across Europe. We want to strengthen our capacity to advocate at the European level and support youth representatives to share their stories and voices in key EU climate fora and platforms.
Your contribution will help us continue our important work and make a real difference in the fight against climate change. Donations help us to acquire a predictable and sustainable source of funding.
