I am very excited for today's post because it's once again about products that have been working wonderfully for my skin - it's always a lot energizing to write about something that you actually like okay!

So the products that i am going to share my experiences with you today are from a local brand that has been taking the local beauty scene by a storm lately : ElsheSkin! I have personally heard of ElsheSkin for a while now mostly from my fellow beauty bloggers and beauty influencers who have tried their products and raved them so of course when the opportunity to try them arise, i said yes right away!

ElsheSkin Radiant Skin Serum and Brightening Cream

ElsheSkin is known for their awesome skincare and also cleansing products (they have also come up with makeup now though) - one of THE most raved products from them is their Radiant Skin Serum so i was delighted when i saw it in the package they sent me. I also loved that they asked for each of our skin's types to make sure that we got products that are actually suitable for our skin. The other product that i got is their Brightening Cream - i have been using both products for almost 3 weeks now and you can check out my pretty skin #ahem.

ElsheSkin Radiant Skin Serum and Brightening Cream

First up, let's talk about ElsheSkin Radiant Skin Serum, which i believe is one of their star products.

ElsheSkin Radiant Skin Serum functions to prevent melanine formation, brighten facial skin and helps fades dark spots on the face, it contains Arbutin, Flower Extract, Glutathione, Niacinamide, Lecithin, Linoleic Acid and Tocopheryl Acetate.

So this serum focuses on brightening and clearing your skin - the suggested usage is twice a day BUT please do a skin test first because it does have an exfoliation type of effect so it is wise to use it once a day first (or even just twice to three times a week, depending on your skin's sensitivity. You should know your own skin condition best and do the dosage accordingly. I personally use it once every other day) and then add up the frequency if your skin is reacting well to it

Ingredient list and BPOM registered number (ofc all of ElsheSkin's products are already BPOM certified!). They are locally made in Yogya, yay local brands!

The serum comes in a glass bottle with dropper. It is pharmaceutical looking and pretty simply designed with just a sticker on the bottle's body. 

The serum is completely clear, watery and light, it gets absorbed into the skin super fast - leaving skin smooth and silky immediately without any trace of greasiness or stickiness

I LOVE the serum! On my skin, it is very fast working as in i can feel my skin feeling very soft and silky immediately after using and i found myself waking up with a glowing skin. I have very oily skin and i prefer not to layer my skin care because layering often leads to blocked pores and blackheads for me so i use the serum on its own. Even though it feels very light and soft, my skin actually feels deeply hydrated and i personally am sure that i do not need to add any more moisturizer on top of it as it actually makes my skin feels a bit oily after a while. 

As it contains Citric Acid that can increase skin sensitivity to UV rays, i personally prefer to use this product at night (but according to the instruction you can use it twice a day if you want and need so it should be safe to do so too) - and i always use SPF (or at least products that contains SPF) in the day time to protect my skin.

Some of my friends who have very sensitive skin had their skin reacted when they first use it (mostly redness) but for me, i never experienced any reaction from the very start. I don't know if that's because i used AHA and BHA products before so my skin is a little bit more used to chemical exfoliation (although my skin IS also sensitive) but i actually find this serum to be very mild compared to other exfoliation serum i used in the past, i hardly feel any tingling sensation even. But as i do have sensitive skin, i try not to over exfoliate and i use this serum every other day - and it works phenomenally! My skin is currently very clear (although i am actually pretty hormonal) with awesome texture and mochiness level! I can totally see why this serum is one of their star products for sure...

ElsheSkin Brightening Cream - 15g IDR 85,000. It comes in a small, very simple white squeeze tube

This cream aims to brighten your skin, as anti-aging, and it also helps to fade acne scars

Although they call it cream, i personally would describe it more like a gel as it is very light, transparent in color and it turns watery as soon as you spread it into your skin. It also gets absorbed into the skin quickly without leaving any stickiness or greasiness behind, i can see why they would recommend this for oily skin . But like the serum, it does make my skin dewy and glowy in a short while. I don't know if it's just my nose or something, but i smell a light honey like scent on the cream, and it's a nice smell ^^

I just checked and apparently they categorized it in their night routine section, i guess because it doesn't contain SPF. But i actually use it in the morning because i am already using the serum at night (don't worry, i usually wear BB Cream with SPF during the day) and i find it works really well for day time use. Like i mentioned earlier, it doesn't have any oil control purposes or anything so although it can be used nicely under makeup, i do have to blot quite  a bit throughout the day because it makes my skin a bit oily.

It works super well as a moisturizer, nothing as wow-ing as the serum to be honest with you, but it is a nice companion for the serum as they work so well together to maintain and improve my skin condition while i am using them. I brought these two as my only skin care during my week long trip to Hong Kong last month and they kept my skin behaving, i came back with hydrated and clear skin! I also notice that they help fade my acne scars (i had been getting those crazy hormonal acnes on my chin and it drove me crazy :(.. Thankfully they all healed and cleared now!) a lot.

The cream is quite small (only 15 gr) but it has lasted me for 3 weeks and there are still quite some left, for IDR 85,000 i think it's a great value for money and the small size meaning you would be using it while it's still fresh and it won't go old before you finish it - personally i think it's not a negative hehe.

Oh a side note, i do feel some minor itching in some parts of my face sometimes when i use the cream but this happens quite a bit with some products so it's nothing major for me, just thought i would let you know so you wouldn't be surprised if you experience a similar thing with me. 

Before and After a week of usage, i don't know if you can see any obvious difference in terms of brightening because i already have a very pale skin from the beginning, but i do feel the difference in texture and radiance, i think my skin looks a lot more radiant and healthy after only a week of usage

Overall i am very impressed with ElsheSkin products that i tried, i checked and they have an extensive range of products so whatever you need and whatever your skin type is, i'm sure you'd be able to find a product that suits your skin's needs. I am so happy that local skin care brands are upping their game, they are now definitely comparable (if not better as their products are made especially for our skin and climate) to international brands now! I also think that ElsheSkin products are pretty affordable and a great value for money i wouldn't hesitate to recommend checking this brand out, you can go to ElsheSkin's website to order their products ^^!
