Rapyd Hack the Galaxy is a series of hackathons and challenges that give fintech developers the competitive space to solve fintech problems.

A Problem at Infinite Scale

70% of online carts are abandoned and businesses are leaving $260 billion dollars a year on the table because of bad checkout experiences. This is a problem that must be solved. 

The Mission

We’re calling all developers to use Rapyd’s Hosted Checkout Toolkit to rethink checkout. From embedding checkout into ads and invoices to adding checkout to new applications and creating better experiences – assemble your team (max 4) and see if you have the right stuff.

In addition to cash prizes, the winning teams will receive a trip to Lisbon to compete at Rapyd Demo Days. At Demo Days, your team (max 4 people) will pitch your idea for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

What's In It For You?

In addition to cash prizes for the top three finishing teams (max 4), up to an additional 80 winners can receive a Rapyd Demo Day ticket – an all-expense-paid trip to join other fintech developers at Rapyd Demo Days in Lisbon.

About Rapyd Demo Day

Demo your checkout experience live on stage in 2022 in Lisbon, for a chance to be crowned the greatest fintech developer in the universe. That winner will receive access to Rapyd's Accelerator team and other prizes.

Requirements

What to Build

An embed-able checkout experience using Rapyd’s Hosted Checkout Toolkit. Judges will be looking for projects that showcase non-traditional or new checkout experiences such as B2B digital payment experiences, gaming, digital ads, omnichannel, or product experiences that could use an embed-able checkout. 

What to Submit

  • Provide a URL to your code repository for judging and testing

  • URL to your community profile 

  • Include a video (no more than 5 minutes) that demonstrates your submission. 

    • Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video and made public

  • Must include a link to their project working

    • If you can not include a link to your working project, you must be able to prove your work, provide end-to-end proof with a screen recording of localhost or some other solution
