In Loving Memory of Chris McQuarrie

In the wake of tragedy, I ask for your support in raising funds for Laura Friedrich as she navigates a new reality following the sudden passing of her beloved husband, Chris McQuarrie. As her sister, I have seen not only the immense emotional, but also the financial and logistical, toll that my little brother (in-law)’s heartbreaking passing will continue to have for the untold time ahead. The funds raised will be essential for alleviating the costs of bereavement arrangements, counseling, relocation, and many other expenses.

If you knew Chris for even 5 minutes, you know that he was irrepressibly compassionate and tirelessly supportive of his community—and if you knew him for even 5 seconds, you know how much he loved his wife, Laura. As she must grieve while suddenly moving house even as she begins law school this September, I know it would mean the world to Chris for the community to come together to support his wife when he cannot.

Our lives are changed forever. Whether Chris was sharing his heart in community services or leading an animated game of D&D while doing all of the silly voices, he was a light in our lives that will never be replaced. Chris gave the best of himself to everyone.

I’m so certain that anything we can give to support his family will help us honor his memory.
